maybe you know how, maybe you don't. perhaps the memory is fuzzy, or perhaps it's crystal clear down to the look in your comrades' eyes. maybe it was your time; you've done all you wanted to. or maybe you weren't at all ready to go, maybe you went out kicking and screaming -- but none of it matters. you know you're dead, and the train is taking you to an afterlife. perhaps an afterlife of your choice; you might've earned that heaven. or perhaps you've earned something else entirely. it'll be a bit of a journey, though, so you might as well take your time and talk to the other people in your coach. death knows no place: most of them are strangers, even from faraway worlds. but death knows no time either, so who knows, some of them may be people you know, even if last you knew, they were alive -- or long gone. oh look, here comes the snack cart.

[ Shaking her head as if to clear it Rey watched the retreating shape of the train, nodding at Anakin. They had decided to leap into the unknown, but Rey was happier with that decision rather than sitting idly by and accepting a fate she knew she wasn't ready for.

Standing in the middle of the tracks she finally turned to gaze down the way they had come, frowning thoughtfully. ]

When we get back to life, we're going to eat so much ronto. Come on, let's get going.

[ There is no fear of the unknown; not for himself. He will constantly and tirelessly worry about everyone else rather than looking inward. Anakin doesn't know what that says about him, but it's served him too well for him to change up his routine. He claps her on the shoulder amiably, squeezing gently before removing his hand entirely. He knows she doesn't like to be touched, but his tactile nature is too much to contain. ]

Ugh I don't want to talk about it. I'm so hungry I could probably take one down.

[ He turns around to face the sea of endless track and unchanging landscape and sighs before heading down the path they'd just come. ]

[ For a while Rey was content to walk on in silence, listening to the soundless world around them as it yielded no clues as to where they might have been. ]

I guess if we were really dead, we wouldn't be hungry, right?

[ Again she fell quiet, trying to focus on the way the Force felt - or rather didn't feel - around them, frowning in consternation as again she received frustratingly little insight for her efforts. ]

I can't really say, I've never been dead before.

[ It's unsettling how this place seemed to go on and on like the sands of Tatooine, stretching so far that even the sun can't seem to touch its end. ]

I still have a bad feeling about this place. Wherever it is.

[ Rey frowns, having to nod in agreement as he mentions his disdain for their locaiton. ]

I guess maybe we can't die again - so we'll be able to just keep walking until the end?

[ How long had she been on that train for? How far were they going to have to walk. Whatever the challenge in front of them truly was she was right about not being able to get any more dead. However weird this was. ]

Maybe there are towns here - in the whatever this is?

Who knows, at this point. Everything I thought I knew about it was wrong. Unless we're inside the Force, but that doesn't feel right.

[ This does not feel like the Force. More of an absence of it. He can question it all he wants, but now isn't the time for an investigation. Their first priority is getting back. ]

Even if there are, we shouldn't stick around. What if there's a time limit?

I figured the Force would be a little bit -

[ Rey trailed off frowning as she looked around them at the landscape unfolding around them. ]

Cozier? Not to mention I don't think we're one with everything.

It's supposed to feel like a brook. Constantly flowing and comforting. You are one with the Force and the Force is one with you. This isn't that, you're right.

[ They'll figure it out the further they get. ]
