The Secret Admirer Meme



One of you has a secret admirer! You just opened up your mailbox or closest equivalent thereof and discovered a note and a gift from someone who admires you!

As for the other you...are you the secret admirer? Are you secretly admiring someone else and are hoping you can get to the package before they open it up because you sent it to the wrong person by accident? Are you some random passerby checking your own mail or are you their friend who happens to also coincidentally be there for some reason or another? I don't know, it's up to you.

You should know the drill by now! (And it will pierce the heavens.) Post a comment, tag people, react.

Of course, gift giving is tough sometimes, so if you're stumped fire up the RNG, put a number between 1 and 8, and...

1. A bouquet of flowers and an almost cloyingly sweet note of admiration.

2. Balloons and a card which says something sappy about how looking at you makes their heart soar like a balloon.

3. Chocolates (probably ones leftover from Valentine's Day if it exists in your canon) and a store bought card. Sucks to be you if you're allergic to chocolate.

4. Homemade cookies and a hastily scribbled note asking you to come out to some location at a certain time to hear their confession.

5. A hand knit scarf with hearts on it. The color scheme is also a bit...dubious.

6. A sexy dress and a ticket to that thing you like. (In the event you need help to pull it off or are Cloud Strife, you may assume the dress comes with stuff like sexy cologne and a wig.)

7. THE TICKET IS NOW DIAMONDS...sorry. Jewelry and a terrible card which says something about how the brilliance of your eyes shines brighter than any jewels or something along those lines.

8. Sexy (or 'sexy' if it's one of those pieces of undergarments that appeals to a niche audience) lingerie and a rather raunchy, suggestive note.

[Apparently, Maka's admirer follows some primitive rite of trying to prove that they can provide her food. Or he just thought the cookies would sweeten the deal and show how much effort he was putting on this. Pity that the cookies probably could be cataloged as biological weapons, from their looks to their taste -if she dares a bite-. But he really tried his best.

Many of the scratched out parts are written in a sloppier hand, and the author appears to be ambidextrous. The note reads as follows:

[Tifa took a moment to see if there was any mail today. Expecting bills to be stuffed into her mailbox, she was surprised to find a tightly sealed red package than a handful of brown envelopes.]

[Once inside, she put the parcel atop the counter and looked down at it, trying to figure out who would send something like this, and who went through all that trouble to wrap it so tightly. A note, which she had not seen before, was taped to the bottom. Opening it, she looked at the handwriting, which was neat and quite readable.]

But if the note had her name on it, then she guessed this was not some prank or that someone had left it in her mailbox by accident. Getting out a knife, she cut through the wrapping paper, digiligently trying not to ruin whatever was inside. Once opened, Tifa blushed outright at the sight of a slinky black thong displayed before her. There was nothing else, no matter how hard she looked.]

Just a simple piece of raggedly torn notebook paper pushed into her mailbox, but then again, that does mean he was on the subway for quite some time.]

[And as she rummaged through her closet, looking for that one dress that would be suitable for such an occasion, she happened upon it with mild surprise -- though frowned a little as she had not remembered buying such a dress before. It was short, looked as though it hugged the curves, and was strapless. Tifa shrugged her shoulder, pleased at such a discovery.]

[She took it out from the closet and as she went to lay it out on the bed, a small note fluttered to the ground, having caught her attention.]

Just what kind of fucking tool leaves heart chocolates on someone's bed and sneaks away? The most pathetic piece of shit to ever exist, that's who. Especially when it's not even that stupid human holiday anymore.

Jade had told him about it and taught him how to make chocolates to get him to stop bitching about the concept of a day dedicated to buying shit for people, but it wasn't exactly easy. By the time he actually figured out how to make the damn things without them tasting god awful it was already a few days too late. But just what the fuck was he supposed to do with that stupid chocolate? Just let all that hard work go to waste just sitting around?

Five minutes standing in the middle of the hall fighting with himself later, Karkat finally turns and heads back to John's room. Maybe there's still time to snatch the damn things back up before the idiot finds them. Just pretend like this whole stupid thing never happened and give them to Gamzee or something.]
