kept A P A R T In Japan, Vega is sometimes called Tanabata (or Orihime), a celestial princess or goddess. She falls in love with a mortal, Kengyu (or Hikoboshi), represented by the star Altair. But when Tanabata’s father finds out, he is enraged and forbids her to see this mere mortal. Thus the two lovers are placed in the sky, where they are separated by the Celestial River, known to us as Milky Way. Yet the sky gods are kind. Each year, on the 7th night of the 7th moon, a bridge of magpies forms across the Celestial River, and the two lovers are reunited. Sometimes Kengyu’s annual trip across the Celestial River is treacherous, though, and he doesn’t make it. In that case, Tanabata’s tears form raindrops that fall over Japan. Your character is in love. How joyous! But there's a catch; there's always a catch. The two characters in each thread can only meet once in a certain designated amount of time. Is it every month? Every year? Every seven years? Every millennia? When they do get to meet - what happens? No matter what, it has to be bittersweet.

Rey frowned, unsure of what she had been prepared to give away for the freedom of her associates, though now she couldn't help but feel concern for Kylo.

"I don't know yet. What hostages are you talking about?"

He hadn't heard anything about any fighting between the First Order and the Resistance since Crait.

"We had some spies, your people found them-" Rey trailed off with a little sigh, frowning at him. "I'm here to barter for their freedom. Now what do you want?"

"The first thing I want is to know more." He hated that he couldn't even negotiate competently. Whoever failed to inform him about captured spies, hostages, and any other prisoners would likely be offered along with said prisoners. "How long ago was this? Where did you hear from them last? I can't do anything if I don't even know who or where they are."

"Your people took five of ours in a supply run gone bad somewhere by Felucia, we haven't heard anything from them in about a week but our intelligence points towards First Order business." Rey held out her datapad for him to see, letting him look over the pictures and names of the hostages.
