body heat

Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket. A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

noon passes. an hour, then two, then three, as the dark circles under his eyes finally begin to fade. he mumbles a little, something unintelligible, then goes back to being quiet and relatively motionless.
even the sharp knocking at the door doesn't wake him. ]
Excuse me? I'm here for housekeeping and dinner orders if you're interested!
[ a young girl's voice chirps from just outside. the poor weather conditions had made travel challenging, so offers to help feed the inn customers had been moderately successful. ]

The knocking on the door startles him awake. He reaches for his scarf and quickly wraps it around his neck, then hurries to the door. Before opening it, he casts a glance at the room, the slight mess that is still there and at the sleeping Otonashi.
Ruca decides it's not a good idea to let the girl in.
He opens the door just a tiny bit and slips out, giving the girl an awkward smile.]
Ah, t-thank you. A dinner would be nice, I think...? What can I order?
[Having some more food when Otonashi wakes up isn't going to hurt.]
no subject
But we have roasted chicken, fish caught from the neighboring port town, ummm... Hot cereal? Oh! And mystery meat that's at a discount if you're brave...
no subject
["Mystery meat" doesn't sound like a good idea anyway.]
canting * mobile autocorrected... ;;
[ she moves beside Ruca to open the door, giving him a smile. ] I'll just get rid of your used towels and linens, then get you fresh ones, just give me a minute! It'll be super quick, I promise! You can either come in and chat with me while I work or just wait out here.
it's ok, no worries
No! Ah... I-I mean...
[He tries not to look at the girl.]
I-I'm actually not alone... My friend is still sleeping, because he was very tired and got really cold yesterday. Could you... please wait until he wakes up?
♥
I can at least get you fresh towels. And more blankets, maybe? I can be quiet. Oh, and fish for two, then? I thought it was just you!
[ she raises her hand and giggles a little, giving Ruca a smile. though she speaks quickly and rattles off all the ways in which she can help tidy up, she really does mean well. ]
♥♥~(˘▾˘~)
[He fidgets nervously.]
Ah, but... I-I don't think he'd like anyone to see him in his current state... [Or to see the bed in its current state.] S-so please... Could you wait a little longer?
no subject
I'm surprised he can sleep... My dad owns this place, so we live upstairs, and I heard someone below me being so loud. It happens, but it's been a while... You think it was the weather? You know, cold weather, warming up another way...?
[ she shrugs, giving Ruca another smile. ] If you won't get dinner for yourself, I'll bring you a pastry. My treat!
no subject
W-what d-do you mean? I-I didn't hear anything...
[He really can't look at her, but he bows and tries to protest.]
B-but, ah... thank you, you're very kind, but it's okay! I can pay for everything...!
no subject
[ she almost stumbles as she laughs while Ruca's face darkens with embarrassment. ] And funny... You must be a heavy sleeper then if you really didn't hear all that. It was wild! Anyway, I'll be back in a while!
[ and she shuffles away to let the inn staff know to set up a fish dinner. ]
no subject
Wordlessly, Ruca watches her leave with growing embarrassment. It doesn't pass when he finally returns to the room and locks the door behind himself.
He covers his face trying to force himself to stop blushing so badly.]
no subject
he mutters again, tightening his hold. ]
no subject
Carefully, Ruca sits down on the bed and very gently puts his hand over Otonashi's.]
I'm right here. [He whispers as quietly as it's even possible.]
no subject
Hey... You're up before me again. Sorry... [ for not being more animated, for not setting up breakfast like he always means to. ]
no subject
Don't worry about that. You needed rest.
[He smiles warmly at him. Everything is perfectly fine.]
no subject
be selfish, Ruca had said. ]
How late is it..? Did you already have breakfast, or..? [ raising the back of his hand to Ruca's cheek, he shuffles underneath the blankets, not quite ready to disentangle himself. ]
no subject
Ah, it's... [He catches the other's hand into his own and presses it to his cheek.] ...It's pretty late, but it's okay. I had breakfast some time ago and brought you some pancakes...
[He looks at the pancakes that are sitting on the bedside table.]
I also ordered a dinner.
no subject
I really thought... [ he lets his head drop to the pillow and buries his face in it, visibly defeated. ] When is checkout time..?
no subject
Ruca's expression starts showing worry.]
I-it's... don't worry about it! I got the room for one more day so you could rest all you want! It's really fine!
[Ruca is very worried about Otonashi's reaction.]

no subject
You did more than enough yesterday.
[He touches the scarf around his neck... then thinks about the night before and blushes.]
no subject
But it's nice to see you look so happy.
no subject
[Ruca gives him another smile then moves closer to bump their foreheads.]
I'm happy... and it's all thanks to you. You made me happy. Thank you.
no subject
You don't have to thank me. For anything. [ he could argue that he hasn't earned it, but he decides against this, too. ] I had fun. Then, I... slept all day, I guess. I feel better, but—
[ but he still hadn't meant to lay around for so long, especially not at Ruca's expense. ] I like it here, so I was hoping to be able to spend a little more time...
