Tethered to You — In life, you didn't know each other, but now their ghost is connected to you, and you to them. The Sight — You're the only one who can see them, the only one in the world to them, now. Haunted Home — There's something wrong with your house. Can you reclaim it? Do you want to get rid of your companion? Peace to the Vengeful — All you wanted to do was do a kind deed and help them achieve peace, not become eternally grateful. Remember — Both of you are bound and determined to find out who you were as a living mortal. The knowledge might tear you apart. Different Time, Different Place — This ghost is of a person who's a bit...antiquated compared to you. Careful, they may want to court you. It certainly makes things awkward when they see how you dress. Jealousy — Lights burst, glass cracks, and the whole place goes cold when someone with a pulse smiles at you. Protection — You'll risk your afterlife for the one you love. Confession — If you can communicate vocally, confessions are easy. If you can't talk, that's a whole other kettle of fish. The Challenge of Intimacy — Ghost makes it look so easy. You want to reach out and touch them, but you can't always do that. Manifestation — Your emotions have temporarily given you a physical form. Keeping You Here — The living's affection keeps the dead in the mortal coil. Decay — The longer they stay with you, the more of a violent wraith, disconnected from their past, they become. Passing — You have to let them go, even if they don't want to. Just Like Heaven — You'll work together to find a way to bring you back to life. ANYTHING ELSE?

[ Hashirama as the dead! He's a boisterous, cheerful, easily excited-to-the-point-of-annoying-maybe kinda dude, but he also has plant-related powers. Maybe you hear laughter, sometimes, when you watch TV. Maybe your flowers have been growing so much better in this house than the last one, and you can't figure out why. Maybe you actually see him, sometimes, seated at the windowsill and looking longingly outside.

Either way, congratulations on the haunted house? Hashirama's gonna do his best to be helpful, but it seems he can only move anything when he feels something particularly strongly.

Oh, he's also from the tail end of the Sengoku period. Which is to say he died in the 1600's. ]

Richie Tozier / It: Chapter Two

(He doesn't really remember much except Richie holding him, and when Richie was dragged away, so was he. He kept trying to tell Richie hey buddy, it's okay, I'm right here. You're not leaving me behind, see? Look! I'm fine!

Except Richie just didn't seem to hear him. None of them did. Eddie's just moving (not running, not floating- moving- some strange passing of space he wasn't able to comprehend right then) after them and trying to hold Richie's face and tell him not to cry so much. Richie, I'm right here! He kept screaming until his voice was hoarse, but no one seemed to hear no matter how much he screamed. Little did he know he was half the reason the house was collapsing so rapidly. His anguish at being left behind, being forgotten, being unseen- it was cracking the air around him and snapping everything apart. It wasn't just the destruction of IT tearing the Neibolt house down.

When they were out, Richie's breakdown made Eddie's heart splinter, and he didn't understand why he couldn't see him. It was somewhere around then that Eddie realized.

When he looked down he was barely visible. He lifted his hand, smoky white things, and he was still "bleeding" heavily. At some point he'd put Richie's leather jacket on, and that was part of the look now too. "Richie? What's..."

But Richie still couldn't hear him. Eddie trailed after his friends as they went to the Quarry. He watched them in the water, watched Richie break down into pieces. When Ben and Beverly stole their selfish moment, Eddie felt ugly and angry, and the water around them went ice cold to the point where they both looked spooked. Maybe it was petty, he thinks, but Richie was having a breakdown. Was now really the time? He thought the fuck not.

It was the window. He'd swear on it.

His friends seeing all of them and he felt suddenly more rooted to the world. This time when Richie went to the bridge, Eddie walked after him, slowly taking more and more form. He wasn't sure what he was expecting to find, but Richie deepening an old carving wasn't it. Eddie didn't realize how solid he had become. He tipped to the side to look at the carving and when he realized, Eddie came into fruition.

He looked like a solid body. Richie's leather jacket a little too big on him, his hands balled up in its pockets. He looked exhausted, and there was a gory black hole on his chest and the blood still on his face. Maybe it was just because he was still feeling furious, still feeling awful about what had happened.)

Richie...(He tries again, and he doesn't realize that this time he was going to be heard because it sounded the same as before to him. Except this time it really was out loud.)

i'm interested in 'the sight', 'remember', 'protection', 'confession' but especially 'the challenge of intimacy'. i also really like the idea of ghost possession as well, especially re: challenge of intimacy. i can play around with the other prompts as well if you'd like, but those are the ones that i'm interested in the most.

as for atsushi himself - he's from the bungo stray dogs side novel, BEAST, which is a canon AU where he winds up as a port mafia member instead of an armed detective agency member. he's a little on the soft spoken side since a lot of his characteristics as atsushi nakajima have been severely toned down thanks to dazai crafting him into the perfect assassin. as a heads up: his background does contain cw: suicide/child abuse/murder but feel free to let me know if you want to avoid those topics and i won't have him mention them at all. )
