[ His face had been a scowl the entire ride, knuckles white on the steering wheel as he drove along the street he and Midoriya had grown up on. Bakugou had been fuming ever since learning just who he was assigned to be "dating" while on this little mission. Worse still, his parents were in town for the holidays which meant he was obliged to drop in for a family dinner.

When his parents learned that he was partnered with Midoriya, they took it to mean that they'd finally put their differences behind themselves and were officially dating (from the sound of their reactions, his mother had won the bet they'd both made on the matter), which meant that Midoriya and his mother were invited to the family dinner too.

Things just kept getting better and better. ]

[ He's finally pulled into the driveway at his parents place, settling the car right behind his father's SUV and cutting the engine. ]
