[Loki was like a stray cat. He came and went from the tower whenever he chose and quite often without warning. He could disappear for weeks or months at a time, only to pop back in unannounced. No one seemed concerned for his well being when he was gone. Even Thor dismissed it as part of Loki's normal behavior.

So it should come as no surprise when the Norse god 'shimmered' into existence just as Tony was pouring his second cup of coffee in the kitchen. Nor should it come as much of a shock when he cornered Tony against the kitchen counter, pressing the long, lean weight of his body up against the mortal. Noting something between them, he glanced down at the cup of coffee still in Tony's hand. Deciding to be rid of that annoying distraction, he took the cup and tossed it idly in the direction of the sink where it probably shattered on impact]

Did you miss me, Stark?

[No matter how many times he does it, how many times he flickers in and out like he owns the place, Tony is never going to get used to him popping up beside him after a few weeks absence with absolutely no warning. The least he could do is make a little shimmering sound to alert the masses that he's about to make an appearance.

But no, he doesn't, and Tony still startles when he appears.

It's subtle, though if Loki's looking for it then it's pronounced. He freezes up more than he jumps, and turns just in time to be pinned like his presence is something weaker. Though he stands on equal footing with Thor, who let's be honest here, is also a giant, it's Loki's build that makes him seem even taller. Like a fresh pencil, a beanstalk, or an uncooked piece of spaghetti. Maybe a cooked piece of spaghetti actually, doing it's best to stay standing tall.

He purses his lips when his coffee and mug are suddenly being discarded, not amused, but not rising to any sort of bait, or whatever the hell that'd supposed to have been. He'd liked that mug. Then he gives Loki a look, annoyance in his eyes that he's not fully letting out. He needs his caffeine.]
