Nor should it come as much of a shock when he cornered Tony against the kitchen counter, pressing the long, lean weight of his body up against the mortal. Noting something between them, he glanced down at the cup of coffee still in Tony's hand. Deciding to be rid of that annoying distraction, he took the cup and tossed it idly in the direction of the sink where it probably shattered on impact]

[There is a first time for everything, and it's natural to feel apprehensive about taking that first step, whatever the subject may be. Sherry knows that. But telling herself that doesn't make it any less embarrassing for her right now.

Kissing is one thing, she got used to that quick enough, but the idea of moving on has her mildly frightened. Not because she isn't comfortable with Jake, definitely not. No, it's more personal than that, and it's not even her fault.

How does one honestly stop a very nice, heated make-out session to inform the other person that they're (pathetically) a 26 year old virgin? Sherry has no idea, at all. No doubt Shurei had found the exiled duelist obnoxious at first, with his brooding and self absorption. But as he'd gotten to know her, he couldn't help but like her more and more. Her practical determination to do good by her country reminded him of Tenjou, but less naive, Juri before bitterness and Shiori had dug claws into her heart. There was something about her that made him want to try to improve as a person, to open his eyes to the world outside the little warrior-aristocracy ghettos he'd spent his life in.

One thing had inevitably led to the other. He was experienced and she was straightforward so they'd laid out the bounds of their relationship just as if they were negotiating the border with a neighboring kingdom.

But when she'd told him that night she wanted to be in charge, he'd been surprised at first, but curious enough to assent. That hadn't been part of their negotiations, it was merely that he was used to being the seducer and leader. He was curious to find out what things were like from the other side.
