1. Post with your character.
2. In your comment, have your character ask a question. Would you rather ________ or _________, where the blanks are anything your character would like to know from anyone who might respond. Maybe they're asking out of curiosity. Maybe they have a dilemma of their own. Who knows.
3. Respond to other characters, whatever catches your own character's interest or whatever they'd like to talk about. Maybe they can't decide between the two. Maybe it's an easy answer. Maybe they think the question sucks. Discuss. Chat. Take turns.
4. ????????
5. Profit.

[And only an idiot would expect a straight answer from her.]
no subject
Idiot or not, the siren's call of adventure is impossible to ignore.
no subject
An earth malak heeding any siren's call goes beyond idiocy. Unless they enjoy being a ship's anchor.
no subject
I've more or less found a way around that.
no subject
[There's no reasoning with him once he's gotten the exploring itch, so she might as well tease. A couple other history nerds are the same.]
no subject
[How he says this with no shame is a mystery.]
no subject
[Give her a second, Eizen. You've nearly broken her.]
Floaties? [Did he really just say what she thought he said.]
no subject
no subject
What do they look like? I can't picture it.
no subject
I have ones that slip around my arms in a nice shade of orange. They're bulky, but secure. Oh, and there's a tube as well. It fits around my mid section, and since they're filled with air it stops the pull of the water trying to drag me down.
[ Eizen stop... ]
no subject
[A laugh.]
Sounds as ridiculous as an earth malak pirate. Fitting.
[How very Eizen.]
no subject
You call it ridiculous, but that's exactly why I have to. Never cave in because someone tells you you can't!
[ He pauses for a moment. ]
And besides I got you matching floaties.
no subject
There's big a difference between 'can't' and 'should't.' Not many will take a floaty-wearing pirate seriously, you know--
[wait what]
...you didn't.
no subject
I simply thought it might be a nice change from the usual gifts I send you.
no subject
[And geez, Eizen. Here she was all ready to get annoyed and maybe do some stabbing with her umbrella... now she can't do either.]
Hm... The only thing sillier than a floaty-wearing pirate earth malak might be a floaty-wearing landlubber earth malak on a mountain. Idiot.
[She's still going to hold out a hand for said present.]
no subject
[ I-It might!! ]
[ Still, he sees that hand and immediately pulls a box out of his coat with cute floral printed paper and hands it to her. Enjoy your new arm floaties, Edna.]
no subject
[Not like she'd ever cry enough to make her own pool, nope.]
[Once she's carefully opened her gift and has the floaties in hand, there's a long minute where she just stares at them. It's not what she was expecting after Eizen described his own. They're... cute. Terribly, ridiculously cute.]
Your taste is as awful as ever. [Said with a obvious smile as she slips them on and bumps a floaty-clad arm against his elbow.] ...thanks.
no subject
I was told the wings give it extra float.
[ Did he believe it?... probably. At least Edna was smart enough to realize that was stupid. ]
no subject
Think they were pulling your leg, Eizen.
[But that's okay-- her own happiness should keep her plenty buoyant.]
I should make you take me to the beach so they get some use. And make sure you're not pulling my leg about being able to float.
no subject
[ While it sounds dangerous to go to the beach, especially if she's with him and his curse, he can't deny that it'd be nice to see more of that smile. She has gotten older too, so maybe she could defend herself against whatever his curse might have in store for them, but at the same time he'd hate to put her in that situation to begin with....
But look at that smile, he hasn't seen it in such a long time... ]
One trip to the beach.
no subject
If you're worrying about some disaster befalling me, don't. I'm not a child. I can take care of myself. Always have been.
[Ever since she stopped growing, at least. And before that her own good luck kept her safe.]
You got a swimsuit already? That coat won't be much help in the water. [pokepoke goes the umbrella in his side]
no subject
I suppose it wouldn't be a proper beach trip without a swimsuit now would it. But don't you need one too?
no subject
[That's hardly the right way to describe her Shepherd but it's not exactly wrong, either. RIP, Sorey.]
no subject
An admirer, huh? He doesn't sound like a decent guy giving gifts like that.
no subject
Could've been worse. [She won't say how. Sometimes it's best to let the imagination create its own horrors.] Besides, he just didn't want my regular dress to get wet again.
