( how about literal hell on earth, the damned taking over the material realm and earth as we know it? also always up for zombies, as I can apply all key intents behind Ben's canon into anything undead. also personally love androids, interested in cybernetic revolt if yours is a synthetic organism or intelligence for that whole 'oh no we accidentally understand each other/cohabitate/help each other' unexpected sympathy/empathy plots. give me all of your magical, supernatural, mythological people. )

[ well, he kickstarted the actual Biblical apocalypse and killed 6 billion-ish humans in twenty years, so you can't say he doesn't have practice. open to canon and cross-canon; assumed cr is cool with me. ]

It was inevitable, really, that the Second Crisis would finally expand and spill over outside Russia's borders. The world had ignored the problem for too long and the beleaguered country hadn't been able to contain it without assistance, without Overwatch's intervention. The second generation had failed the first, and they'd been plunged right back into the war they'd tried to avoid.

So nowadays, life was burning cities, the wreckage of buildings, hurrying on for supplies before the machines could find them. The two women had taken refuge in what had once been an office block, the windows shattered open to the elements (and drone omnics roaming up and down the street, watchful eyes in the skies). Brigitte readjusted her grip on her shield, back pressed against the cubicle wall while Sombra's fingers flew across the touchscreen, hacking into the surveillance grid.

"Almost done?" the Swede asked. Trying not to sound impatient, but failing.
