[ After eight days on the road with no plumbing, no booze, and no fighting, Gojyo was about to lose his mind. (And sure, there had been plenty of fighting with Goku, and threats from Sanzo, but by the time they were down to eating Can Surprise twice a day, nobody had the energy anymore to squabble.)

The city had looked like paradise as they approached, all bright and noisy life -- Goku had gorged himself into a stupor, Sanzo had retreated to the far corner of the common room with a fresh newspaper and a beer, Hakkai was up to his elbows in laundry, and as for Gojyo? Gojyo was out the door as soon as the sun went down. There had been an itch growing beneath his skin for the last couple of days, an itch that needed to be scratched with a good drunk, or a good fight, or a good fuck. And he wasn't really too picky about which one he found. ]

[There were days Schuldig really, really wanted to kill someone. Mainly Crawford for putting him into situations like this where he was stuck in the middle of fuck-knows-where without anything to do. [He hadn't actually meant to hit that particular piece of alien tech. He'd meant to grab something threatening, something he could ward the Master away from Rose with. His mind had a habit of recalling all the painful memories rather than the good ones, so he'd been terrified to see the Doctor's rival show up out of nowhere. Assuming, naturally, that he would go after his loved ones, he'd responded, and accidentally retconned the two of them in a matter of seconds.

Another thing the device had a nasty habit of doing was teleporting it's victims. Alone, confused, with no memory of who he was or what he'd just been doing, it only seemed natural for John to head towards the nearest bar.]

[The Master would have been much more cross at the situation had his mind not been temporarily wiped as well. It'd taken him long enough to track down the metacrisis, and though he didn't necessarily mean him harm, he wanted him for his own so that he could study him.

This was all, of course, moot as he sat down at a bar he had suddenly appeared next to, wondering how he'd gotten there and who exactly he was.]
