Claudia, what have we told you?
THE VAMPIRE MEME

Vampires are appealing creatures. They can be dark, mysterious, sexy, or just downright violent. They can even be hunky and sparkly in the sun! Vampires come in so many different varieties, it's hard to choose just one type. Whatever your brand of vampire, it's just hard to resist the draw of one of the oldest, most unsettling figures in horror to date. So why not try your hand at playing one yourself? Or offer your character up for bait if you're more inclined to do so. - Post your characters.Name/Series/Preferences in the subject field as usual along with whether your character is a vampire, outsider, or hunter(Unless you'd like to roll for individual threads!). - Others respond after going to RNG.Roll 1-3 for what your character is and then1-3 again for what type (if you desire). - Choose or roll for a scenario. You could make up your own after you roll for what your character's role will be if you want! - Have fun! Vampires 1 - Sire You're old enough to have created vampires of your own. Maybe one, maybe many, but they're all special to you in their own way. 2 - Sired You were once normal, human, but then you were changed into something more. Do you thank your creator or hate them for changing you into a monster? 3 - n/a Your creator is neither here nor there at the moment. You're just a vampire on the hunt or trying to fit in. Outsider 1 - Victim You're a victim, someone to drain and leave behind. Maybe they'll take pity on you and allow you to join, be one of them. 2 - Willing You've got the hots for vampires or just a morbid fascination. You're willing to let them drink from you and maybe so much more. 3 - Pawn You're being controlled somehow by a vampire. Mind control, blackmail, whatever. Hunter 1 - Born You come from a long line of vampire hunters. 2 - Moral Objection Vampires are abominations that deserve to be wiped off the face of the planet. 3 - Vengeance A vampire took someone dear from you or possibly made you into one of them. All you can think about is getting vengeance. Gen 1 - hunted prey. You're starving tonight and you're out scoping for just the right nighttime snack. 2 - newly made. You're a newly made vampire or you've encountered someone who's recently been changed. How do you deal? 3 - mind control. Some vampires have the ability to control humans' thoughts or actions and tonight is the night you have to do it. 4 - overpopulated. Vampires have taken over the world and now humans are treated like livestock or pets that you can feed off of when you feel like it. Not all vampires think this is cool though... 5 - injured. Not a lot can injure a vampire but there are those that will drain them for their blood or those that hunt them and know tricks that actually leave a mark. Do you help them? Or if you're the one injured, do you seek help? 6 - unaccepted. You were changed or you've met someone who was once dear to you and changed... you're not sure how to accept them. 7 - close call. It's too close to sunrise and you have got to find refuge with someone. 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed!
| Violent 1 - trail of bodies. Humans are nothing but food and you've gone on a spree lately. 2 - hunted. You're being hunted or you're hunting. 3 - outnumbered. A bar or a club full of vampires doesn't bode well for humans... 4 - ravenous. You've been starved or drained and you're going after the first person you see or you've stumbled across an extremely hungry vampire. 5 - entitled. You're entitled to this person's blood, whether they want to give it or not. 6 - self-defense. You have to defend yourself from those that want to hurt you. 7 - vengeance. Someone is after vengeance... 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed! Romantic 1 - real love. You know this is real, even if the other person is reluctant. Maybe it's not even a worry between you two and you just feel like being together. 2 - confession. It might not be the smartest idea, but you need to tell this vampire or human exactly how you feel for them. 3 - forever. It's time to make your lover into some a vampire or maybe it's time to ask your vampire lover to do it for you. 4 - making it work. There are obviously some problems, but you're going to overcome them. 5 - forbidden. Either no one can know about what you're doing or you just receive dirty looks for doing it. 6 - not exactly normal. Your attraction might not be normal or the circumstances surrounding your relationship might not be and it's time to discuss if you have a future or you're just kidding yourselves. 7 - defense. Someone hurt your lover and now they have to pay. 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed! Smut 1 - blood offering. There's nothing like a vampire feeding on you that gets you in the mood more. You offer them your blood in exchange for something else. 2 - coerced. Some vampires have mind control capabilities and some have blood that's like a drug that will make you crave more. 3 - no sex better than vampire sex. You're both vampires or one of you is dead set on becoming on tonight and you'll do anything to convince your lover it's time. 4 - pet. Similar to another option except that a 'pet 'entails so much more than being treated like livestock or cattle. 5 - touched the monster's heart. You're actually in love with each other even though you weren't sure it was possible. You just want to make love and show your vampire how you feel. 6 - so much stronger. The human or weaker vampire might not want it, but thankfully you're strong enough to take whatever you want from them. 7 - mine. It's time to claim what is rightfully yours and make sure they know it. 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed! |

What is she doing?
She settles on the other side of the loveseat with a little shrug, smoothing her clothing out with her hands and setting her hat aside. She may as well be polite.
"Well, I'm glad that you do. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't be here, would I?"
An oblique reference to the fact that Amelie could quite easily have just killed her that first night.
"I have to admit that I find you... interesting."
She can't say that she likes her. That would be admitting too much (at least to herself).
"I'd make a bad joke about biting wit, but that would probably be in poor taste."

There's an uncertainty in the way Ana carries herself right now that she lacked when they were dancing, when she was kissed, when Amélie bit her.
She listens with a small smile on her face, amused, turning to face Ana fully. Like last time, she finds herself admiring the curve of Ana's neck, eyes tracing the curve of the silver chain around it. How can she possibly be blamed for the way her body naturally leans in, attentive.
"Is it biting wit that brought you back here then? Or just the biting?"
no subject
"I like to think I'm more here for your personality than the latter," she responds with a hint of a dry smile on her features, "The latter seems too cliche."
She can't allow herself to fall into that. Can she? She watches Amelie carefully for a long moment. She's almost poised, isn't she? A predator -or a parasite, some would say. She slowly lifts a hand and taps a finger thoughtfully against the little vial.
"What does drinking this do to a human?"
She's asking for a reason.
no subject
It's a small laugh that she lets out, but a laugh all the same. Leaning in just a fraction more, she lifts a hand to Ana's neck and starts to trace the line of silver against her skin.
"For a limited time you'd feel like more than you are. Heightened awareness, faster healing: things that could potentially benefit someone in your line of work." Her fingertip soaks in the warmth of Ana's skin, that thrum of life underneath it. "Such a small amount won't last long. But it also can't turn you, if that's your concern."
no subject
Her head tilts slightly, eye trying to follow the movement of Amelie's hand. She can't quite see, but the touch of her finger makes her heart leap all over again.
"I wasn't thinking about being turned, honestly," Ana replies quietly, "You have to die for that, don't you?"
no subject
She remembers her mother and father teaching her that, so if she ever found herself with fangs at her neck or a vampire's blood on her lips she wouldn't panic. They even warned her of how seductive it could seem. But that warning meant so little when she was actually tested.
Her finger gets distracted by the pulse she bit into last time, skimming over the healing dents her fangs left there. "I won't be too insulted if you don't want it."
The fact that Ana wore it here and is sitting beside her right now says enough, in her opinion.
"But I think you should keep it."
no subject
"To be honest, I'm mostly self-taught," she replies with a dry little smile, still propped up in the love-seat, eye tracking her every movement.
"And I will keep it. If only so I have something to remember you by."
She taps her fingers against the glass of the vial, eye narrowing, "It's a much different keepsake than I'm used to, but it will do."
no subject
Partly sincere, partly flippant.
It pleases her that Ana does intend to keep it, though. Offering her own blood is something she's done on occasion, but not so frequently. Many people have their charms; she finds fewer truly memorable.
It's only with an effort that her finger finally distances itself, first from the fading scars and then from Ana's skin entirely, but drawing her hand in doesn't mean she moves back, her underlying craving for the blood in Ana's veins much like a flower's lean toward the sun.
"So it seems we aren't enemies."
no subject
Although thinking back on it, she's not really quite sure what her intentions were that first night. Not in retrospect. She makes a little 'ha' noise and tilts her head back to give the ceiling a long look.
"I suppose we aren't. At least for now."
So, what does that mean for her? Or for Amelie? Or whatever it is they are? If they're anything.
A dark part of her, unbidden, imagines the rush that came with the touch and bite of fangs.
"If anything, I'm a guest. I don't know how long you'll want me around, though."
no subject
Leaning in further, she lets her hand rest on Ana's knee.
"It depends on whether you feel like letting me have another taste or not." Her smile widens, becomes toothy, a hint of the hungry predator behind the hostess behavior. "Eventually I have to make time to feed."
Her eyes study Ana's single one.
"But if you do, I'll promise not to drink as much as last time."
She knows just how sweet it would be. Her mouth almost wants to water.
no subject
There's very much a hand on her knee and Ana finds she doesn't really mind that. Not from Amelie, anyway. Which is strange, because she's one of the creatures she's supposed to be hunting - but a look from her makes her heart flutter and although she knows she shouldn't be quite so into this. In fact, she shouldn't be into this at all.
Especially not when there's that wide, toothy smile, reminding her of what she is.
Ana breathes out in a low, easy sigh, returning Amelie's gaze.
She really shouldn't.
She does.
"I might be willing to allow that."
no subject
"Then you might be willing to permit this," she suggests, and it's as though that vague confirmation is all she needed, her body's proud posture curving into Ana's space, one hand bracing behind Ana's shoulder and the other on the arm of the loveseat. She moves in to let the scent of Ana's hair -- her skin -- flood her nose, lips ghosting down Ana's cheekbone at a downward slant until they hover by Ana's mouth.
Almost a kiss. Almost a taste. Almost a press of fangs.
But not quite. With no more than an inch of space granted, her lips trace the curve of Ana's chin and finally plant a kiss just there, on its soft underside. Another in the center of Ana's throat, reveling in the flutter of life in her flesh, and another where skin disappears beneath the safety of Ana's neckline.
no subject
Her arm lifts in response, sliding around her, fingers finding her hair and scalp, curling into a tight grip that almost threatens to tug her away. It doesn't, though. It stops just short as Amelie plants a kiss and then another, working against her throat. It works in a swallow, her mouth held open just slightly as her breath catches.
Ana can feel the electricity that flows through her. The heavy air of anticipation that thickens around the both of them. Her fingers curl tighter and her head goes back a fraction of an inch as a rush of adrenaline goes pouring through her.
"Do it," she murmurs, voice barely above a whisper.
no subject
It obviously doesn't bother her enough.
As fueled by the fingers curling tightly in her hair as she is by Ana's little demand, she moves one hand to undo the button at Ana's collar, and then the next one down, clearing a path to more bare skin and kissing her way along it, the tips of her fangs peeking between her lips, until her mouth meets the initial swell of one breast. It's right there, right where the thunder of Ana's heartbeat and the scent of her body roll so beautifully together and threaten to overwhelm, that she delicately sinks teeth into soft flesh, fangs piercing a vein.
The flow of blood into her mouth isn't as strong here -- a bite in the neck barely requires any work at all -- but her lips seal selfishly to Ana's skin to suckle, to sate the hunger that's built in her gut and twined around her core as she slept.
no subject
Her fingers thread into Amelie's hair as the vampire begins to work her way down Ana's body. Each touch that threatens makes her tense. Each time she thinks that it will be the moment she finally bites, she holds her breath. It's agony, in its own way, and she savors every moment of it, even as she can't shake the slick, venomous, oily feeling of disgust that stays lurking in the back of her mind.
She'd expected another bite in the throat. So she can be forgiven for being surprised when Amelie goes for a breast. The dark skin rises and falls with every breath, the fingers in Amelie's hair tightening and then - then it finally happens. The fangs break the skin and there's that sickening, awesome, horrific, ecstatic feeling. A rush of adrenaline and need and want. Not orgasmic, not any sort of sexual release, but simply a rush as the fangs go to work against her flesh.
She can feel the flow of blood - really more of a trickle here, drawn to the surface by Amelie - but it feels oddly, deliciously intimate and her eye falls half shut as she watches. Repulsed and drawn in. Teetering once again.
At least she isn't threatening to pass out this time.
no subject
Just wanting.
She draws enough from the vein for one last mouthful before she relents, pulling back after a parting drag of her tongue over the wound.
"You're very kind," she says after a moment, teasing, more color in her face now than there was earlier. She licks over her lower lip but misses a small drop of scarlet at one corner of her mouth.
Her eyes can't resist trailing back down to the fresh wound in Ana's chest. In no time it'll bruise prettily, inches below the vial of her blood worn around Ana's neck, and she's more than a little pleased to think of just how much of her Ana will wear.
no subject
Not here.
Her gaze drops to Amelie's face and for a long moment she stares.
On impulse, she leans down to press a small kiss to the corner of her mouth, swiping away the bit of scarlet with her tongue. The taste is bitter; of iron and salt.
no subject
But the kisses, the biting: that has all been Amélie's doing. Her hunger, her desires made as plain as possible. What a surprise to find the hunter so willing to kiss her own blood off a vampire's lips.
She likes it, though, and likes Ana even more in the moment, despite the fact that humans are so fragile and hunters are so stubborn. She knows that better than most.
But that small kiss makes her chase another, even the tiny hint of copper in that press of lips a tantalizing taste, one hand rising to the side of Ana's face. "I don't think I've quite figured you out," she admits, a breath away from Ana's lips. "So many hunters seek a very different kind of thrill once they've identified the enemy."
no subject
Her throat works in a slow swallow. It's her own blood, returning to her own body. And yet she still feels as if she's taken a step down a very dangerous road that may well end with her damned.
Ana breaths out, letting her warmth wash over Amélie.
"You're very unique," she admits with an easy, breathless laugh, "I don't know what it is about you."
Ana kisses her again, as if she can somehow drive away her own doubts.
no subject
"Flatterer," she chides, but her toothy smile says she likes it. Likes it very much, in fact. Maybe she should know better too.
But Ana kisses her again and it compels, demands an answer. Her tongue needs no excuse to slip past Ana's lips, eager even when there isn't a trace of Ana's blood to sweeten them, and her hand gently smooths back the stray hair around Ana's face.
And because Ana herself seems so eager she acts on impulse again. This time the slant of one fang nicks the side of her own tongue. Enough to tinge her kiss with the slow seep of her blood, a barely-there taste. Ana did seem interested in sharing.
no subject
Her lips part, breath drawn in in a low gasp as she feels Amélie's tongue slide past her lips. And just on the edge of tasting, the coppery, rich flavor of blood. She can feel a little thrill run through her at the idea. A rush that comes as she begins to realize what Amélie is doing.
She doesn't push her away.
If anything, she draws her closer.
"I'm making terrible decisions," she murmurs against her lips. And yet, her throat still works in a swallow. The thin trickle of vitae that feeds into her mouth doesn't stop. Ana falls.
