Claudia, what have we told you?
THE VAMPIRE MEME

Vampires are appealing creatures. They can be dark, mysterious, sexy, or just downright violent. They can even be hunky and sparkly in the sun! Vampires come in so many different varieties, it's hard to choose just one type. Whatever your brand of vampire, it's just hard to resist the draw of one of the oldest, most unsettling figures in horror to date. So why not try your hand at playing one yourself? Or offer your character up for bait if you're more inclined to do so. - Post your characters.Name/Series/Preferences in the subject field as usual along with whether your character is a vampire, outsider, or hunter(Unless you'd like to roll for individual threads!). - Others respond after going to RNG.Roll 1-3 for what your character is and then1-3 again for what type (if you desire). - Choose or roll for a scenario. You could make up your own after you roll for what your character's role will be if you want! - Have fun! Vampires 1 - Sire You're old enough to have created vampires of your own. Maybe one, maybe many, but they're all special to you in their own way. 2 - Sired You were once normal, human, but then you were changed into something more. Do you thank your creator or hate them for changing you into a monster? 3 - n/a Your creator is neither here nor there at the moment. You're just a vampire on the hunt or trying to fit in. Outsider 1 - Victim You're a victim, someone to drain and leave behind. Maybe they'll take pity on you and allow you to join, be one of them. 2 - Willing You've got the hots for vampires or just a morbid fascination. You're willing to let them drink from you and maybe so much more. 3 - Pawn You're being controlled somehow by a vampire. Mind control, blackmail, whatever. Hunter 1 - Born You come from a long line of vampire hunters. 2 - Moral Objection Vampires are abominations that deserve to be wiped off the face of the planet. 3 - Vengeance A vampire took someone dear from you or possibly made you into one of them. All you can think about is getting vengeance. Gen 1 - hunted prey. You're starving tonight and you're out scoping for just the right nighttime snack. 2 - newly made. You're a newly made vampire or you've encountered someone who's recently been changed. How do you deal? 3 - mind control. Some vampires have the ability to control humans' thoughts or actions and tonight is the night you have to do it. 4 - overpopulated. Vampires have taken over the world and now humans are treated like livestock or pets that you can feed off of when you feel like it. Not all vampires think this is cool though... 5 - injured. Not a lot can injure a vampire but there are those that will drain them for their blood or those that hunt them and know tricks that actually leave a mark. Do you help them? Or if you're the one injured, do you seek help? 6 - unaccepted. You were changed or you've met someone who was once dear to you and changed... you're not sure how to accept them. 7 - close call. It's too close to sunrise and you have got to find refuge with someone. 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed!
| Violent 1 - trail of bodies. Humans are nothing but food and you've gone on a spree lately. 2 - hunted. You're being hunted or you're hunting. 3 - outnumbered. A bar or a club full of vampires doesn't bode well for humans... 4 - ravenous. You've been starved or drained and you're going after the first person you see or you've stumbled across an extremely hungry vampire. 5 - entitled. You're entitled to this person's blood, whether they want to give it or not. 6 - self-defense. You have to defend yourself from those that want to hurt you. 7 - vengeance. Someone is after vengeance... 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed! Romantic 1 - real love. You know this is real, even if the other person is reluctant. Maybe it's not even a worry between you two and you just feel like being together. 2 - confession. It might not be the smartest idea, but you need to tell this vampire or human exactly how you feel for them. 3 - forever. It's time to make your lover into some a vampire or maybe it's time to ask your vampire lover to do it for you. 4 - making it work. There are obviously some problems, but you're going to overcome them. 5 - forbidden. Either no one can know about what you're doing or you just receive dirty looks for doing it. 6 - not exactly normal. Your attraction might not be normal or the circumstances surrounding your relationship might not be and it's time to discuss if you have a future or you're just kidding yourselves. 7 - defense. Someone hurt your lover and now they have to pay. 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed! Smut 1 - blood offering. There's nothing like a vampire feeding on you that gets you in the mood more. You offer them your blood in exchange for something else. 2 - coerced. Some vampires have mind control capabilities and some have blood that's like a drug that will make you crave more. 3 - no sex better than vampire sex. You're both vampires or one of you is dead set on becoming on tonight and you'll do anything to convince your lover it's time. 4 - pet. Similar to another option except that a 'pet 'entails so much more than being treated like livestock or cattle. 5 - touched the monster's heart. You're actually in love with each other even though you weren't sure it was possible. You just want to make love and show your vampire how you feel. 6 - so much stronger. The human or weaker vampire might not want it, but thankfully you're strong enough to take whatever you want from them. 7 - mine. It's time to claim what is rightfully yours and make sure they know it. 8 - player's choice. For anything that's been missed! |

Cloud had been living the good (un)life since he had started tagging along with the Lucian Prince's retinue. Though he did indulge in small amounts from voluntary human blood donors as an occasional treat, the vampire maintained a strict "no killing humans for food" policy. Monsters were the best substitute he'd found and they made up the majority of Cloud's diet.
Sure, human blood would always be best, but you couldn't beat the sheer volume that a tough monster could provide. Potions don't work on the undead and Cloud couldn't heal naturally anymore, so the only way to restore him to full health was drinking the blood of the living.
Together, the five of them could take on some of the biggest hunts around. The bounty belonged to the chocobros and their vampire tag-along got something much more valuable than Gil. The others had agreed to step back when the powerful monsters were mortally wounded and unable to fight back so that Cloud could feast without the risk of injury. It wasn't a pretty sight for Prompto, in particular, but Cloud had warned them all that they shouldn't watch. Humans who witnessed the vampire's bestial glee when draining a helpless victim dry never looked at him the same way after that.
Sometimes, though, Cloud couldn't hunt. Spending time in cities, traveling by ship, or surrounded only by Nifs or daemons, any wounds he suffered would simply remain unhealed with no relief in sight. Right now they were stuck in a big city after fighting four Nif battles and a daemon all in a row, counting on a living monster that just didn't show up before they had to leave. Cloud wasn't in dire straights but he was pretty banged up. He had worn a suspicious-looking hooded cloak to make it to the inn but that wasn't going to cut it long-term.
Bandages could be used to hide the unholy open black wounds so Cloud could pass as a normal human, bandages that only Ignis had enough expertise to apply correctly so they wouldn't come loose, and so the group was depending on the King's Advisor to make Cloud presentable.
Having used up the last of their bandages on Cloud's face before they got to town, they left the vampire at the inn and went out to buy a new supply. Ignis would return before the others, who would be caught up at the weapons seller for quite a while yet. Left alone for now, Cloud stripped off all his armor and clothing and waited quietly.
Though he had cheerfully denied several times, even minor injuries did make Cloud acutely hungry. As long as the injuries weren't too bad or he didn't have to put up with them for long, the vampire did a pretty good job of acting calm and good-natured. It wasn't going to be that easy this time. It was necessary for Ignis to take extensive liberties with Cloud's usually-well-guarded personal space. There was nothing in the room to distract himself with and there wasn't a lot out there that could escape Ignis's undivided attention. To top it all off, Cloud just happend to have a huge crush on him.
Well, being accepted by the group as a trustworthy person instead of a dangerously unstable monster disguised as a person had been good while it lasted.
AWESOME INTRO <3
Ignis took it upon himself to remedy that.
Organising a lengthy distraction for his comrades, Ignis returned to the inn to confront Cloud. He knocked three times, waiting a spell, before entering. His crystal clear eyes sought Cloud and his heart felt for him.
Though there was very little about Cloud's predicament, there was enough for Ignis to be confident that his friend struggled deeply.
He closed the door behind him, turning the lock, and staying put. For now.
"The others have lengthy business in town."
That was Ignis all but admitting they would be alone for some time.
X3
"That's good, at least. For their sakes." He set his phone aside. "It's going to look even creepier in good lighting."
Not to mention that the worst of the wounds had been obscured by Cloud's clothes. Sure, the whole group had seen him in much worse shape than this, but only during a heated battle. From a distance, it almost looked like Cloud was getting splattered with thick black ink when he got wounded. Bad enough for surface wounds which couldn't scab over, but the gashes just gaped open until healed.
Ignis hadn't yet seen the worst of Cloud's current wounds, the deep claw gouges in his midsection. At least the Nif bullet holes were a bit less gruesome, though the ragged black craters were plenty creepy in their own right.

He had enough of watching Cloud suffer and hurt.
He wanted to help him.

This was going to be dangerous even with Ignis fully clothed, as hungry as Cloud was. He leaned away, utterly failing in his usual totally-comfortable-with-humans act.
"What are you doing...?"
no subject
He peaked an eyebrow. "I trust that won't be a problem?"
no subject
"No, Ignis. No. You don't... I would kill you."
no subject
That made Ignis all the more determined to assist the other man.]
I am afraid this is non-negotiable, my friend. All the more so given the condition of your... injuries. [He patted the bed space beside him.] I would rather not fight you over this, Cloud. I merely wish to help someone who is in need.
[Beat] Someone who I value as a friend, and... holds special importance. So please.
no subject
Because it was unthinkable.
"But I can't. I'm... too hungry. The next thing I bite is going to die."
no subject
Ignis reclined back onto the bed, turning his head enough to leave his neck exposed. "Would you rather not feed away from prying eyes, in a more controlled environment? With someone opening themselves to you?"
no subject
Still facing resolutely away from the scene unfolding in front of him, Cloud was painfully aware of what it would look like. How easy it would be to pounce on his prey and take what he wanted.
"It's hard enough to 'pull out' when I'm not hungry."
no subject
no subject
"What if take too much? I really could kill you."
no subject
He sighed. Perhaps the last chance if your hunger continues.
no subject
"Come here." Cloud was still standing and facing away from his victim because seeing Ignis stretched out on the bed would just make it harder to concentrate.
no subject
Once he was right behind him, Ignis spoke softly, sympathetic to his plight. "Where would you have me?"
no subject
While eating standing up was awkward, this human was the perfect height for it. Cloud turned and closed the final small distance between them, pulling Ignis into a light embrace. He brushed cold lips gently over the advisor's throat. "I'll stop when you can't support your own weight. Or I'll try, anyway."
no subject
He slowly tilted his neck, inhaling softly, his heart fluttering from the sensation of those cool lips upon his neck.
Did he mention that his neck was rather sensative? Too late now.]
I... appreciate your consideration, Cloud. Please, take me.
