I-In that case, I would love to see this cafe you work in..!

[He gives a nod to her and then starts to lead the way. He thinks they are going to find it pretty comfortable there. At least as long as his friends aren't there. They might gush over her if they see her.]

[ Even that would be better than a huge crowd around her. It's not that she doesn't love her fans, but it felt nice being able to actually hang out with someone around her age!

She followed closely behind Akira, with a big warm smile on her face.]

[Once they get to the cafe, he lets her inside. He follows in soon after her and the only person there is Sojiro. Stepping behind the counter, he speaks to him quietly for a few moments. Sojiro soon takes his leave, giving Kanami a nod on his way out.

Akira then picks up his apron and places it on before stepping behind the counter.]

He said he was going to take a break for a while so I can entertain my new friend. [If she considers them as such, yet.] What would you like?

[ She was watching them talk for a while wondering who he was. Was that Akira's father? Or perhaps it was just his boss? He must have a lot of faith in Akira if he would just leave him in this shop on his own! She bowed her head low as the man took his leave. and quickly turned back around to face Akira.

D-did he say friend? Were they friends? Could they be friends already? She felt butterflies in her stomach as she moved to get closer. Her nervousness was definitely coming out, because she trips over the air and barely caught herself from falling over. ]

H-huh? O-Oh um well...! Surprise me?

[Akira is hoping that they are. Not just because she is an idol, but she seemed like a pretty nice person. She even agreed to come here with him when she could have easily distanced herself from him.]

Okay. I'll see what I can do. [He gets to work preparing a drink for her. He gets it nice and ready and tops it with some whipped cream before placing it down in front of her. It's a Salted Caramel Mocha. A dark espresso, with a rich chocolate and salted caramel flavor to it.]

Here you go. Do you get to go out like this often?

Mmm.... it smells delicious.

[ It was fascinating watching him make this with such ease. He had a talent for it! Well, she thought so anyway.

She gently pulled the drink closer to her, but she didn't try it just yet. ]

Not really, no. When I'm not doing events, or rehearsals I'm usually at home.

[He's had a lot of practice at it. He may have looked talented now, but before he got so good he failed quite a lot. ]

Do you not like to go out? [He imagined she must have a big circle of friends outside of her group that she hangs out with.]

A-ah well... um...

[ She let her fingers drum against the cup he gave her. It was a little embarrassing for an Idol to say " I don't really have any friends teehee!". She did have her idol group, but things were still a little awkward between them. ]

[Her silence sort of speaks volumes. Mostly since she wasn't answering his question at all. Could she really not have anyone to spend time with?]

We can exchange numbers late, if you are comfortable with that. I know I would enjoy the chance to get to hangout with you more. [They could do normal, non-idol things.]

[ Her eyes widen at the suggestion. She really did meet an extremely sweet person!
Or she could be too trusting, but all signs led to him being really kind!]

I-I...really? You wouldn't mind that?

[Definitely is just a really sweet person. Though she is also a bit too trusting. Fortunately, he's not the sort of person to take advantage of that.]

Of course I wouldn't mind. I know I'm no pop idol myself, but I think hanging out could be fun. We can always do whatever you want or feel like doing that day.

I-I can't believe...

[ She was so touched by his kindness. He didn't even know her personally, but he still wanted to help out like it wasn't anything! She started sniffling and quickly stood up, trying to hide her face. ]

I-I'm sorry, is there a restroom I may borrow?

[ To save him from having to see her weepy face. ]

[A flash of worry washes over his face at her words and the start of her sniffling. He's about to move around the counter to check on her before she speaks.]

There is, yes. [He motions in the direction of it. A little room in a little nook off behind the counter.] Right in there.

Thank you...!

[ She bows her head quickly before rushing off to the little room, locking the door behind her. She felt so embarrassed, so foolish. What he must think of her getting so emotional over a kind gesture like that..!]

[He busies himself with wiping down the countertop and cleaning any dirty dishes that might still be there. He may prepare her something to eat if she stays long enough, but he honestly isn't sure if she will or not. She seemed a bit upset just now and he wasn't sure why. But he's going to give her her space and time.]

[ the door creeks open just a little, as if she were bracing herself to come out. While she was in there, she decided it might be easier to chat if she changed. Luckily she had her bag with her with her regular clothes and put her wig away nicely.

She took a deep breath and finally stepped out of the restroom. ]

I-if we're going to be friends, then we should meet properly...!

[He looks up as he hears the door open and he can't..help but stare at her for a few moments. He was ready to ask who she was, but it was obvious. There was only one girl that went in there.]

Kanami? [He says before the biggest smile curls on his lips.] I had no idea that you changed your look when you were being an idol. I'm happy to have the chance to meet the real you.

[ Her cheeks were even redder than before, partially out of embarrassment, and partially from her little episode earlier. She bowed her head low, her pigtails flopping with her. ]

I-I hope that we get along well, Akira!

[ She peeked up at him, from her awkwardly fumbled position and melted a little. Even now after seeing her like this, he still had that big warm smile on his face. ]

I am certain that we will. [Honestly, nothing had changed..well, nothing except her. And the only that about her that changed was the way she looked. Though seeing her like this makes things feel more personal, really. And his offer is still available all the same.]

Your glasses are really cute, too.

[ She finally stands up straight, but the compliments keep flowing which just embarrasses her all over again. ]

Oh um..! Thank you! I like yours too! The frames are really nice!

[ At least she's moving over to sit down again.]

Thank you. [Like him, it seemed like she could appreciate a nice pair of glasses.]

But..are you feeling okay now? I thought I might have upset you before.

Upset me...? Oh.. oh! N-no no you didn't upset me honest!

[ She turned her gaze off to the side. How many times could she embarrass herself before Akira kicked her out??? ]

I was just... really happy you said you'd like to be my friend. I guess you could say I was moved to tears.

[Akira could probably never have the heart to kick the girl out. She seemed so sweet and down to earth, especially for an idol.]

Really? I didn't know that it would mean so much to you. [It warms his heart to know that it did.] I'm happy that it did.

I'm really sorry for worrying you like that, Akira.

[ She gave him a warm smile in return. ]

I just didn't want you to have to see me all... weepy like that.
