are you not entertained?!

Blood and Glory
Maybe this has always been your world, and the arena has always been a part of it. Or perhaps you've been brought here against your will. But surely you know the expression: When in Rome...
Rules
1. Comment with your character and canon.
2. Include things such as scenarios, settings, and whether you'd like to play as an AU or something the characters have been dragged into.
3. Good fighting.
ARENA VARIANTS
Historical //
Whether it's 300 BC or 300 AD, whether you're slaves, volunteers, or a member of the city's favorite team, you're in Rome or something like it. I hear the sand makes the blood easier to clean up.
Fantasy //
Mythical creatures set loose to be battled, magic in the bindings that keeps you in line, this life may be even more dangerous. At least the architecture is pretty.
Space //
You are on a large ship, or perhaps an entire planet, that exists only as an arena for battles to take place, with exploits beamed across the galaxy.
Your Own World //
Turns out even in familiar places there are people bloodthirsty enough to want to see these sorts of battles. The arena might be makeshift, or re-purposed, or even a new stadium made for the purpose, but the sentiment behind the games is the same.
SCENARIOS
1// Man vs Beast
Today your opponents are not other gladiators, but animals, or monsters. Try and stay alive.
2// There Can Be Only One
Both of you have made it to the end of the battle, but there can be only one victor today. You must come to accords in one way or another, or else persuade the crowd to have a change of heart.
3// Fresh Meat
One of you is a veteran gladiator, the other one has just been brought in, willingly or otherwise. Time to haze the greenhorn, or take them under your wing.
4// Biggest Fan
One of you is not a fighter at all, but you do enjoy watching the battles, and now you have a chance to meet your heroes.
5// Picking Sides
The next battle will be between a number of teams, you'll need to find your partner ahead of time if you want a chance.
6// Crowd Pleaser
One of you is a known favorite of the masses. The other... isn't.
7// Protector
You've made an agreement. No matter what happens or who arrives in the arena, you will keep your friend alive.
8// Night Life
One of you is not a fighter, but you are close to their level, there to entertain the fighters after the arena has quieted for the night with things like drink and dance.
9// Volunteer and the Impressed
One of you is there because you want to be. The life of battle and fighting for fun just appeals to you you're ready to throw yourself into the ring. This is causing some friction between you and the others.
10// Revolt
You've made your plans, there's a weakness in the arena, and come the next show, you are all getting out.
11// Good Hunting
One of you have been thrown into the arena with little more than the shirt on your back. The other, in full armor with a few nice toys to use. The end result seems simple, doesn't it?
12// Patron
One of you is a person of wealth who would liked to get more involved in a gladiator's life, such as providing them with some useful perks. The other of you could really use a leg up.

4 in...space! If this is okay, lmk
Yadda yadda, it's got a lot going for it. Matches are over for the day though and those who have survived the day’s fighting are settling down to party. Hardcore, you have a police record the next day partying. Zelos himself is no exception. Zelos Wilder! The Casanova of the Battlefield! Graceful, elegant, ruthless, a tendency to hit on anything that vaguely resembles having a pulse. With a combination of swordsmanship and technological implants he sits...somewhere vaguely around the bottom of the top. He doesn't put too much effort climbing the ranks, he'd get a day job if he wanted to work hard.
Amazing stuff. Sitting in one of the arena's said sleazy bars though he is currently confused at the man in front of him. Supposedly his biggest fan according to the bouncer. In his off hand he has an opened envelope with a letter and a lacy thong —also purportedly from his biggest fan. Clearly there has been some mix up between fans.
Doesn't stop Zelos from holding the thong up to Rhys all the same, trying to deduce if the panties match the man. You know, like Cinderella.]
I'm guessing these aren't yours?
I'm canon blind but this is lovely!
But today, he was here in Capitol A! He'd even sprung for a front-row seat! And, boy, had that been worth it. He'd gotten to see Zelos Wilder fight and win.
Now he was sitting at the bar, sipping something fruity and hoping some of the champions would come through. Meeting any arena fighter would be cherry on top of Rhys's vacation. And if Zelos happened to be here, well... He tried not to think about that.
He almost doesn't recognize that someone's talking to him.]
Huh? No, I don't even wear--Oh my god, y-you... You're him!
[Smooth, Rhys.]
Trolly playboy pretty much sums it up ; )
[Twirling the panties around a finger, he slips into the seat next to Rhys. And also steals the man's drink with a practiced hand that says Zelos is accustomed to getting anything he wants. Maybe sometimes it's better not to meet your idols.]
Your pleasure to meet me, of course. [A sip of Rhys’s drink.] Don't be shy, hun~n~ny. Now that you've met me: what's on your mind?
[He's assuming something about how amazing he is, he's all ears like a prima donna after curtain call.]
That does kinda sound like Rhys's type XD
U-um, well...Let's see, you were asking about that thong, and I was trying to inform you I don't even wear underwear, so that isn't possibly mine.
[Seeing Zelos take a drink, Rhys remembers that he was working through a fruity, boozy concoction and reaches for it...only to find that it's disappeared. He frowns, wondering just how strong it was. Of course Zelos wouldn't have stolen it. The bartender probably just took it. He signals for another.]

It showed surprising depth, if so. She wouldn't have thought him capable of anything so vital as enjoyment.
And yet here she was, already bruised and aching, staring across a short expanse of ichor-soaked sands at the quiznacking Princess of Altea. But not as her opponent - no, of course not, though she half-suspected they were intended to turn on each other before being devoured by the beast being slowly coaxed out of one of the large holding pens, snapping and snarling at the sentries applying shock-prods to its irridescent hide. The beast's quills shivered and shifted, scattering light in a way that made it difficult to look at it directly; Acxa knew from a close brush decaphoebs ago that those quills would be razor-sharp and brittle, likely to lodge in the flesh of anything attempting to prey on it.
For a moment, she toyed with the notion of turning her pistols on the barrier generators in hopes of the beast tearing through the audience beyond. It was mere fantasy, of course - if it were that easy, she never would have been armed with her preferred weapon in the first place, and even if she did by some miracle manage to kill the barrier, the beast wouldn't be nearly so cooperative as to ignore her and the void-blighted princess in favour of a much harder to access meal.
She winced at the crash and grind of metal as the beast flung a sentry that had come too close against the arena wall, then bared her teeth in something that could only loosely be called a grin. "Let's hope you still recall how to fight on the ground, Princess."
I am so bad at her and I'm sorry
Allura had been just as surprised, anticipating something far more bloody and damaging upon capture. It hadn't been long after Shiro had been revived that Sendak had found them, and the battle with Lotor's mech and the aftermath of the Castle's destruction had left them, as Lance was fond of saying, "sitting ducks."
They were simply too weak to take on an entire fleet so soon after so much damage, and Allura had desperately sought some way to get the rest of them out of harm's way. They'd hated it, Coran especially, but when she'd sent her offer through a direct comm link to Sendak himself he'd accepted and agreed to her terms: let the Lions and the others go.
She'd never expected him to accept, and upon boarding his cruiser she had been shoved into a cell with none other than one of Lotor's generals.
Not much time had passed since then, really, but she'd been allowed to keep her bayard as well as a Galran fighting staff for her time in the Arena. Strange, almost inordinately so, but any attempt to use her new powers was hindered both by very recent overuse as well as exhaustion, and it was all she could do to keep fighting.
Strangely, it helped. Facing the beasts was such a brutal and grotesque form of entertainment that she could barely fathom it, but keeping herself and Acxa alive was the only thing she had the mental capacity to handle, and the ground beneath her feet felt good. As did the adrenaline, and she'd have been frightened if there'd been any time to think of it.
There wasn't, as the barriers made ready to release another. At Acxa's comment she found herself laughing and had to wonder if she might not be giving in to delirium as she twirled her staff, loosening her wrist.
"I've been making do so far."
shh you're fine
When one of them fell, the other would follow shortly after. She might have been a skilled deceiver, but Acxa attempted to be honest with herself, at least, and she knew she their chances were far from good even together. One monster, they could handle. Two, three, four. But they would keep coming until the both of them were dead, or Sendak grew bored.
"For now," she replied. "Did you do much hunting as a child?"
