Rules Update

Hey, so in light of things going on around the Problems post and wanting to publicly post a kind of unwritten rule we have around here, we've elected to add a rule to our generally short rule list.

Players who are banned at other meme communities are not welcome here and subject to immediate banning on discovery of their banned status elsewhere no matter how old the ban is. Players banned from games will scrutinized on a case by case basis.

We rely on player reports on our problems post to learn about banned players! When making a report, please disclose the player's journal (or link to their muse list) as well as the community they have been banned from to allow us to confirm the ban and take the next step.

Thank y'all so much for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to strive toward making this community safe for our members!

This is asinine, mods. What if someone had screwed up once and learned from the experience? They simply just can't come play? No appeal process? No chance for them to explain what happened?

Seriously someone from 2, 5, 10+ years ago most likely is NOT the same person they are then and they should be given a chance to argue their side.

Where have the mods said that banned people don't get a chance to argue their side?

I have yet to see somebody banned from a meme comm that showed remorse for their actions and wanted to change for the better. The two recently banned players have been problem players for Y E A R S and I've doubt they've ever uttered a single apology for the wrongs they've done, much less changed their toxic behavior.
