the LAST MINUTES meme


Five minutes. That’s the time you have left before the world ends. No matter what you say, no matter what you do, it is of no consequences. Everything will be destroyed in five minutes and there is nothing you can do to prevent it. Why not take advantage of the situation and say what you have always wanted to say, do what you have always dreamt of?

 

• Post with your character. Write their name and serie in the title headline, along with your preferences.

• Respond to other peoples.

• Do you have something to ask them, love to confess, a crime to admit? Nothing matters any more, that’s the perfect moment to say it as you don’t have to fear the consequences. There is no RNG, just play anything you come up with.

• It’s been six minutes. The world still exists. You mean the world isn’t going to end after all? Oh that’s really too bad.

• Optionally play out whatever happens after your characters realize the world is not going to end, and they’ve done or said what they shouldn’t have.

She hates it here. She hates it everywhere. None of the worlds she sets foot in will ever be the one where she truly wants to be, the one she once called home. That one is forever forbidden to her, and she'll never see it again.

So what does she care about any of these others?

Prevent it? She caused it.

[ Four minutes, forty-nine seconds. Forty-eight. Forty-seven.

He could count the whole way down, perfect tempo, or stop for a while and come back to find the clock still ticking in the back of his head. From now until the end of the world, he won't be able to escape how little time there is left. Heavy is the sword of the time knight.

There's little, if any, comfort in the knowledge that somewhere, somewhen (a thousand somewheres and a million somewhens), some other Dave is alive and well, on his own track to the end of some world or another. It doesn't change the fact that one Dave is staring into the fucking abyss and getting stared right back at. He didn't know he was a doomed Dave until it suddenly hit him: there are no time loops out of this one. There's no two ways around this apocalypse, no way for him to escape. All the DeLoreans in the world can't do shit for him now. So why stop her?

He tears his eyes from the scenery (it's gorgeous, really, picture-perfect for the end of days, all fire and darkness and disease and hopelessness. Rose would love it. Dave loves it a little, the way you love a drug or an abusive spouse) to look at the girl beside him.

She's not who he imagined facing down death with, to be fair, but it could be worse. He could be alone, or she could be scared. He isn't, and she's not. ]

Four minutes, twenty-one seconds.
