[ It takes a moment for him to respond, but when he does, it's short and sweet. ]

I think it's unfair and incredibly impressive. But mostly unfair because not all of us can do backflips off buildings and triangle jump in alleyways.

[ The call from Matt is definitely something of a surprise. Still, he imagines it's probably easier for him, so he really should have expected it. ]

This is going to sound pretty pathetic and a little cheesy, pretty sure.

I uh... I guess you could say I've had feelings for you for years now. I just didn't understand them. I had never had a best friend before. I thought that whatever I was feeling was a part of that. Of course there were moments I questioned the idea but we were so good the way that we were and the timing wasn't always optimal. One or both of us would be seeing someone right when I started to understand it. And I had trouble even considering that I might not be as... straight as I thought I was.

With time it just became this routine.

[ Honestly, Foggy wasn't sure how to take Matt's admission. After all, he'd counted him as a friend, and secretly, even a protector, as odd as it was for him to reconcile. Knowing that Matt was out there, somewhere, keeping their neighborhood safe was enough for him to look to him for a source of strength and inspiration.

Yeah, it was weird for him to get over.

Still, a brief silence followed Matt's confession. Leave it to the Catholic to be good at that shit. ]
