[Gladio declares through the door, grin on his face wide as he waits for Ignis to open it. He was suppose to have another overnight watch shift with the crownsguard tonight, but those plans had fallen through due to some bad luck.

Or good, if you looked at it this way, now he can surprise Iggy and spend some time wirh him on a rare day off.]

I come bearing gifts.

[He says, tone teasing, but the case of some cool looking coffee beer he had found is wagged in front of the peephole.]

[ Coffee beer? Six, people, why? Though ... it probably does look cool. ]

Gladio? [ He blinks, then squints at the oven timer one more time. There's a little more. Then he goes over to open the door.

The entire apartment likely smells like herbs and spices. Like ginger and paprika, and a tiny bit of butter. ]

I was not expecting... you.

[ All right. Antsy and surprised he might be. But he can't help the smile.

Hey. Yeah, they took me off the night shift this time- I guess someone got in trouble for horsing around or something-So I decided to stop by, even if it's just for a minute.

[ Prompto wouldn't be winning any awards any time soon for cooking. He couldn't cook to save his life but he was determined to cook a meal for date night with Snake. He had called Clover to get access to her and Snake's place while Snake was out and he had begged Ignis to help him.

Meal in the oven, all the pots and pans cleaned and Ignis out of the way; Prompto waited patiently for Snake to get home. He decided to get some much needed snuggle time in with the kittens while he waited. They had grown so much since the last time he had visited. ]

[Snake had made his way from his job at the university via the bus. Lestallum's streets were windy at best, but he'd memorized the twists and turns from the road to the back alleys to his apartment.

Things were improving as he was able to play the harp more at a cafe and the Hunters had been looking after him and Clover. He wasn't sure if Prompto or his friends said anything or if the Hunters decided to extend their protection to him because they enjoyed his music so much.

Clover had gotten a job at the power plant and would hopefully move up from an apprentice with enough time and skill. Between the two of them, they were making things work in their apartment. He knew his sister was out with friends this evening, so Snake wondered what he'd make for himself tonight.

At least he could snuggle the kittens, he thought, as he opened the door to his apartment.]

[ Prompto hadn't stopped to consider that maybe surprising his blind boyfriend in said blind boyfriend's own home was not the smartest of ideas - hopefully the aromas of food and scented candles would be enough for Snake to realise he wasn't being burgled or attacked by monsters.

He quickly jumped up from where he had been snuggling the kittens on the sofa, being careful not to drop them in the process. ]
