The Mindfuck Meme
This is not a very nice meme! Many if not all options are potentially triggering. Please use your best judgment before participating.
1. Comment with your character, putting their name, canon, and any prefs in the subject line (e.g. women only, not #4, AU, aged up, etc.). **Please note that this meme is open to both sexual and platonic content. You may wish to list non-sexual rp as one of your prefs.**
2. When other characters tag in, they'll use this handy RNG (1-15) to pick an option from the list below.
3. Have fun, fuck minds, ???, profit.
Options:
1. I Own You: You know—beyond a shadow of a doubt—that you own this person. Furthermore, you're more than willing to break them down until they accept it as truth. All that they are—mind, body, and soul—is yours. They should have known that from the beginning. Now they'll know it 'til the end.
2. We're One and the Same: You're two sides of the same coin. You practically own each other! No one else will ever complete them the way you can. You're twins. Brothers from another mother (or was that the same mother?). They won't get away—they shouldn't even desire to. Good thing you're ready to help.
3. Nobody Has Ever Loved You (Like I Do): The person before you clearly doesn't understand how worthless they are; everyone they've ever loved will and should leave them to rot. The only thing they have left—the one creature that doesn't despise them utterly—is you. They should probably start groveling at your feet for such patience and mercy.
4. By Your Bedside: You love them. You love them utterly, and just look at the thanks you get. Look how they've betrayed you! Ruthlessly! Talking to others—looking at others. Disgusting. You aren't going to allow it anymore. They need to understand the importance of your love.
5. You're a Doll, Doll: Some people just don't get it. They think they have basic human rights the same as anyone else! They don't view themselves as puppets or pets to be played with. They don't understand that they belong on a leash or sitting pretty on a shelf. Poor darlings! Lucky for them you've taken an interest in setting them straight.
6. Stop Forcing My Hand: It's not your fault you're tying them down! It isn't your fault they need to be disciplined! They making you. They stared at you with those eyes! They asked how you wanted your coffee! You wish they could apologize enough for such atrocities. You'd love to let them go. You don't want to do this. You're the real victim here.
7. Kiss Me and Smile at Me: Time for a little mindcontrol up in here! With this prompt, the other person is completely under your control. Tell them to jump, they jump. Tell them to beg—oh. There will be begging. Unfortunately, the effect isn't always complete and sometimes your target knows they're being toyed with. Too fucking bad.
8. Such a Child: If this kid doesn't want to listen and do as they're told, it's high time you start treating them like the little brat they are. Up to you how far this goes, although spanking isn't a bad start. And who cares if they're actually younger or technically older—they need to learn to listen when adults are speaking.
9. A Permanent Stain: All right. All right. You'll be fine as long as you leave this mark on them. Maybe a couple (hundred) bruises will do, or perhaps a tattoo is more your style. A piercing? Sure! Or five. Whatever—all you know is you need something physical to show your connection. Stake your claim and stake it hard.
10. Escape Cockblocker: You've got containing your target down to an art form. You know all their weaknesses and exactly what shackles fit them best. You can keep their powers at bay and break their spirit (or profess your adoration!) at your leisure. Your expertise in keeping the other right where you want them is absolute.
11. BRUTALITY K.O.: It's easy to be dark and brooding. It's simple to concoct a sinister scheme or two. Violence, however, helps drive a point home with bruising finesse. All it takes is a little brainwashing between punches and voila! You've got your message across. They'll learn to love you for it in no time at all.
12. Feeling Superior: This one is all about rank. Either you're sick of chilling on the lowest rung, or you've always had the upper-hand. Doesn't matter; you're in charge now. Call it a promotion, if you will. Call it learning to excel.
13. Semi-Genderbender: You've always thought of the person before you as a distinctly different gender. It doesn't matter how they identify, you've clearly got the right idea about this. So, you might as well start pushing it. Dresses, manly trousers—pronoun-fuckery all up in here. What about scheduling them for a few… 'enhancing' surgical procedures?
14. You Don't See Me: Sensory deprivation, anyone? This is pretty standard stuff. Take away their voice, take away their eyes— take away sound or taste or touch. Use magic, use devices, use whatever comes to mind. After all, they didn't really need all five senses. That's just greedy! Four—three at most and they'll be sitting pretty under your 'unique' care.
15. Creepozoid's Choice!: Pick any of the options above or a 15th of your own devising. Remember, 15 is always an open option if you'd rather not roll, or if you're looking for a mixture of options.

The fact that sending someone else to deal with it will only further hurt Axel hasn't escaped his attention, although he isn't going to mention it. For now he will gladly let Axel dwell in the foreboding that he has so easily imagined. If he's lucky, it'll keep Axel off-guard just long enough for him to lay out his position in words that will actually manage to get through Axel's skull.
(He's never truly seen, and Saïx is willing to go to any length he must to change that fact. Axel has always been his first, and he's not the only one hurting for something lost, even if Axel really shouldn't be anyway.)
Of course, letting Axel think what he will is part of the plan. He needs to have Axel close enough as to make it both easy to listen and hard to run away. For now, he'll leash his rage and anger as he always does.]
I did. You might as well come in.
no subject
[Axel shakes his head and comes in, letting the door swing shut behind him. He lingers near the doorway, more tense than he'd like to admit; he really shouldn't let his imagination run away with him like this.....]
What did you need?
no subject
It's about Roxas.
[Or about the false friendship that had ensued, but that's close enough to being on topic, as far as Saïx is concerned. If Axel chooses to thing the worst of things, that's his own decision.]
no subject
[Roxas. Everything is about Roxas lately, he's not surprised. Not happy, by any stretch of the imagination, but not surprised, either. This can't be anything good. Axel sighs, bracing himself for the inevitable pleasantness, and nods.]
What about him?
no subject
Don't think about going after him. He's made his point perfectly clear already.
[He's left, and Axel of all people should know what that makes him and what is to be done.]
It's time you ended this little charade.
no subject
He doesn't exist. He has no right to. But Roxas..... Roxas is special. Sitting on the clocktower, watching the sunset, watching Roxas grow and change and learn..... He knows Roxas is something more than himself, something better and brighter. He couldn't wield the Keyblade if that wasn't true, even as a Nobody of Sora, right?]
I..... He's just a kid, Saïx. He's just a Light-damned confused kid! He barely knows what he's doing--he doesn't even know who he is!
no subject
Now, he's simply a liability. He knows far to much, and if he passes that on to the wrong people, well... he needn't tell Axel about the risks of too much information. Not after Castle Oblivion. Still, by the expression that flickers across his face, that was very much not the correct thing to say. He isn't here to pander to Axel's beliefs. He's here to correct them.]
He knew what he was doing when he left. You were simply to blind to let yourself see it.
no subject
[Axel is left flustered and at a loss for words, stammering as he tries to find an appropriate answer amidst all the protests he wants to raise. He has plenty he could argue, in spirit, against a comment like that.....
But technically? Realistically? Fundamentally. Saïx is right. Roxas had known exactly what he was doing when he left. He had been at least clear-headed and strong-willed and physically capable enough to fight his way through Saïx on his way out. However sick and confused he'd been to the depths of his core, when it came right down to it, he had been acting rationally, and had known the consequences of everything he'd done.
The thought makes him feel sick; it's a truth he doesn't want to face, one he hadn't thought wouldn't be so upsetting--because it isn't, it shouldn't be, it can't be, because it just isn't possible for a Nobody to feel anything, hurt or betrayed or mournful or scared or whatever else he should-shouldn't-isn't-can't-must be feeling right now. Saïx s right. Maybe he's always been right, and Axel really has just been too blind to see, too stubborn and proud and desperate to accept.
Axel's eyes drop; he isn't sure what to say--what he can say, at this point. And it only takes one look at Saïx's face to know that even just saying that much had been a mistake, even if he still believed it. He doesn't want to have to look Saïx in the eye, not now, not when everything he is and has is being torn apart and stolen from him. He just wants things to be normal again..... He wants Roxas back. He wants Isa back.
He wants his life back, not just the scattered ashes of what remains of it. He wants something to hold onto--anything. Anyone. He doesn't think he's ever felt quite so alone in his life.]
no subject
He's silent for a long moment, as he takes time to read what he can out of Axel's body language. He might not really be able to find his way into Axel's thoughts - and isn't much interested in doing so - but he knows that Axel always has been one to all but wear his heart on his sleeve. Right now is no different, and he must admit that it's pleasing to see Axel already beginning to show the signs of defeat. Whether or not it means that he's willing to truly listen is another matter entirely, but it's an excellent start.
He doesn't offer Axel any comfort. Not in so far as Roxas goes. That is over and done with, now. Roxas cannot return, and indeed, will not.]
How long did you have to spend teaching him what "friendship" even was? Or did it not occur to you to care?
no subject
Isa had been his best friend. Saïx had been his friend. (When had that relationship become so twisted? Why had it so changed?) If anyone can still read him like a book, it's Saïx, who's had so many years of practice. Axel manages to look back up at him, scowling,]
He isn't stupid, he just has amnesia. He picked it up as soon as I explained it to him.
no subject
[This time there's a trace of anger in Saïx's voice. It is not, and never has been, about whether or not Roxas had amnesia. It's quite simply about the fact that Roxas had needed to be told about friendship. He didn't understand, and likely never would have. Not in the ways the mattered. Not in the ways that Saïx did.]
He would never have understood. Not if if couldn't truly remember as you and I have.
no subject
[He can't be angry. Not the way Saïx is at the moment. Not when he's still reeling, trying to swallow back the hurt of having to acknowledge being knowingly abandoned like this. Still, if nothing else, he's insistent--he had..... he has faith in Roxas.]
Roxas saw it in the worlds he visited, and he experienced it with me--he understood it. He understands it. All he needed to learn was what it was called.
no subject
He understood? No, I don't think that's it at all. He never had you memorized, not if he was so willing to abandon you in his flight.
no subject
[The silence meeting that comment is harsh, but for all that he's been trying to ignore that thought, Saïx doesn't hesitate at all in mercilessly ripping the wound open. Axel doesn't flinch, but the damage is done regardless; Saïx no doubt knows him well enough to see the way he tenses, the creeping doubt--and now validated, at that, by someone who'd seen Roxas while he was leaving, when he himself hadn't been able to--that stirs beneath his far more obvious indignation.]
Sometimes, you just have to do things for yourself--besides, just because he's gone doesn't mean it's forever.
no subject
Listen to yourself. What can he hope to return to when he's made his choice so clear already? Need I remind you he fought his way past me in his bid for freedom? He won't be coming back.
no subject
.....Me. He could still return to me. If we hadn't kept him in the dark the whole time, about everything.....
[Stupid, stupid, stupid..... He feels like he's tripping over himself even harder every time he opens his mouth. He could return to us, Axel had wanted to say--but no, that wasn't right at all. Who was "us", anyway? Saïx didn't count anymore, and it had always been just the two of them on the clock tower. Maybe Saïx hadn't really counted for years.....
He still doesn't understand how or when they had grown so far apart. To be standing here like this now, fighting over a friend, a friend Saïx had nearly killed..... He can barely even bring himself to dwell on the thought of that fight, much less address it. How did this happen?]
no subject
Not that it had worked, in the end, but that wasn't his concern.]
What does he have to return to? More lies? Or do you think he'd be magically granted the truth on the strength of your words? He's not at your beck and call, Lea. He never was, and he won't be returning.
no subject
[He feels sick, and it probably shows. More lies..... That's what would happen if Roxas came back, wouldn't it? He's never going to convince Xemnas or any of the founders to tell Roxas the truth. Not in any way that would actually count. And himself..... All the times he's lied, all the truths he's hidden.....
No. No, no, no..... That's not his fault. He'd only been doing what he thought was best for Roxas. He'd only been trying to protect him--!]
no subject
Besides, that's assuming Axel can even forestall Roxas' fate in the first place, and that is something that Saïx rather doubts. True, no one yet knows where he is but that's not much of an inconvenience. Roxas always has been relatively easy to track.]
To know what? More of whatever lies you fed him? It's time that you forgot about him. We no longer need him.
