body heat meme

Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

Why?
[She frowns, too, confused about why his mom is making him give things away. Then she watches as he starts digging through his closet, eyes widening as things go flying. An almost inaudible laugh escapes her because usually when things go flying, it's because she's making it happen.
Eleven exhales when he wraps the blanket around her shoulders. It makes her think of the night they met and he'd given her his jacket because she was soaked from the rain.]
Yes. Thank you.
no subject
[ Glad the blanket helps, he moves to sit on the edge of his bed, gesturing for her to sit next to him. ] Did anyone see you come here? [ He hopes not, or she could be in danger right now. He couldn't lose her again. ]
no subject
[She almost sounds indignant at the thought. If there's one thing she knows for certain, it's that Mike is the very pinnacle of all things good in the world.
She sits beside him, leaning into him a little and shaking her head.]
No one around. Quiet.
no subject
I did some stupid stuff at school while you were away... [ Mike fiddles with his hands in his lap. ] I just felt sad all the time. Or mad. [ Or both. ] Mad that everyone was just... getting on with their lives, acting like everything was fine when it wasn't 'cause you were gone. [ A lot of the time he hated everyone - even his best friends sometimes - for being happy when Eleven wasn't there.
He leans into her too, feeling her curls against his cheek. ] Yeah, quiet. But nice.
no subject
Me too. [Her voice is hushed and she rests her head against his, closing her eyes.] Was mad at Hopper a lot. He kept saying 'soon.' But it never happened.
[Which is pretty much how this year is going, too, except she's not going to let Hopper keep her away from Mike as long as he had before.]
Nice.
no subject
You're probably tired from all that walking, huh? [ At least, that's what he thinks from her closing her eyes. ] Do you wanna lie down?
[ He'd never cuddled Eleven before, but he wanted to, if she wanted to. ]
no subject
Just cold. [And he doesn't feel cold, he feels warm. She lifts her head to look at him, eyes curious.]
Yes. [She's never been cuddled before, period, but she's seen it on TV. It looks nice.]
no subject
Moving to the top of his bed, he rests his head half against his pillow, which leaves Eleven to share the other half. He rearranges her blanket from around her as well so it's more over the both of them, even pulling it over their heads, so it almost feels like they're under his blanket fort downstairs. Facing her on his side, he's not quite touching her yet, until he shifts to be closer to her. When it doesn't seem like she minds how close he is, Mike eventually puts his arm around her. ]
This okay?
no subject
Then she wraps her arm around his waist and nods.]
Yes. [Their noses are almost touching and she gazes at him intently.] Better.
no subject
So, uh... this is called cuddling. [ He explains to her, wanting her to know the word in case she ever wants to ask him to do this with her again. ]
no subject
I like cuddling. [It's nice. It feels safe, and comfortable. She likes being close to Mike more than just about anything.]
no subject
Me too. [ Well, he likes cuddling Eleven. He's not really interested in cuddling anyone else. Same goes for kissing.
Speaking of kissing, it feels like the perfect moment to do just that. So he leans in, closing his eyes...
And that's when Nancy - who must be out of the bathroom now - yells Mike's name from downstairs, demanding to know why that trash bag he threw earlier is where it is. It completely interrupts the moment and Mike could seriously kill his sister right now. ]
Because it is! [ Mike shouts back huffily. He hears her tell him to come downstairs and move it before their parents come home, and Mike lets out a dramatically loud groan before focusing on Eleven again. ]
I'll be right back. [ He grazes his nose against hers, not quite a kiss, but still an affectionate gesture. ] Don't go anywhere, okay?
no subject
Her heart speeds up when she sees him leaning in, like he's going to kiss her. She waits, holding her breath, until Nancy yells up.
She reaches out and rests a hand on his cheek for a moment and then a soft, surprised noise escapes her when he brushes his nose against hers. That's new. She props herself up on one elbow as he gets out of bed.]
I'll stay here.
[She definitely doesn't want to go back out in the cold yet. Or at all, really, but she knows she's going to have to before all is said and done.]
no subject
Before he goes back to Eleven, he finds the hiding spot where his mom put his toys for the yard sale and looks around for the one he's looking for. He can only take one. His mom won't notice one missing.
He goes back to his room and slips under the blanket again. ] Hi. I, uh, got you a present. [ It's hidden behind his back, which he pulls out to show her. It's Rory the dinosaur. ] I want you to have him.
no subject
When she was here before she hadn't spent much time in Mike's room because it had been too risky. Apparently his parents rarely went to the basement. Even now at the cabin with Hopper, she still misses the blanket fort in his basement. But mostly she just misses being around him, in general. There's so much he still doesn't know. There's never enough time.
She hears footsteps approaching and holds her breath until Mike's sliding under the covers with her again, and then she relaxes, curious when he says he has a present for her. Her eyes light up when he holds out Rory.]
Thank you. [She reaches out and takes the dinosaur from him, smiling.]
no subject
You're shivering again. [ He notices all of a sudden, his smile fading into a frown. ] Maybe you need a drink to warm you up? I could make you some hot cocoa?
[ Which would require him going downstairs into the kitchen, leaving her, again, and he starts to move without waiting for her answer. It doesn't occur to him that what Eleven probably needs most right now is him. ]
no subject
Stay.
[She doesn't want him to leave again. More cuddles, Mike. That's what she wants.]
no subject
Okay. [ No hot cocoa, then. Mike shifts back into the same position he was in before he went downstairs to deal with the trash, his arm back around her. Back to cuddles. ]
no subject
Mike?
[Her voice is hushed, barely a whisper.]
no subject
[ His gaze is curious as he wonders what she'll say next. ]
no subject
[Her expression is always more open around Mike than anyone else and right now is no exception. There's sadness in her eyes but there's a small smile on her face. She hasn't even told Hopper that much about Kali yet. She'd wanted to talk to Mike first.]
no subject
Is she... like you? [ He taps his fingers gently against her 011 tattoo above her wrist to make his question clearer. ]
no subject
Yes. Eight.
[She pauses.]
Kali. She's older. In Chicago. I went there.
no subject
So... what's she like? Is she nice?
no subject
[She smiles a little, even if she'd been secretly amused by Hopper's reaction. She'd still been kind of mad at him and also she didn't feel sorry that she'd gone to Chicago. She'd needed to go.]
A nice man in a truck drove me.
[And now it gets more complicated.]
Yes, but... [She looks uncertain, then props herself up on one elbow so she can look at him better, expression troubled.]
She's going after them. The bad men.
