[The party is lovely; they always are, at the Potter's. Far more lively than the gatherings Scorpius' family hosts. There's been dinner and punch, Albus' cousins are trying to start up a parlor game, and Scorpius hasn't seen the groom-to-be in at least half an hour. Not a good look, for an engagement party.

It takes more out of him to climb it now than when he was a child, but he makes it up, and there's Albus, sitting in his usual spot. The tree is thick with leaves this time of year, and if you know where to sit, you're virtually invisible from the path.
