[ "Escalation" should have been, had her parents had any foresight, April O'Neil's middle name. Sleeping dogs were never left to lay with her - once source was never good enough, she needed two pieces of photographic evidence to prove her point (points which, by the way, always pointed to her being right), more knowledge, more respect, more, more, more. So it shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone that one sexting session for "journalistic integrity" purposes had lead to another. Then, a few more times she'd shot some pictures his way, with different settings and rising eroticism.
Escalation, after all.
Really, the whole thing's been like a secret, exciting game; games were not usually on her radar, making the little sneaky shared moments a novelty...that soon wore off. And then, as always, she needed to raise the stakes. So, one call, and she'd got him over to the park nearest her house, wasting scant time before she had her lips on his and her fingers gripping his shoulders for balance as she slid off the cinderblock wall on which she'd previously been perched. ]
