In my restless memes, I see that town. Silent Hill

Maybe you've come here by accident. Maybe on purpose, or together, or alone. Either way, the fog is settling down thick, and all roads leading out have crumbled away, leading only to deep cliffs and chasms. You're stuck.
Welcome to Silent Hill.
Instructions
1. Post your character with their name/canon in the subject line.
2. Tag around!
3. You can each choose or roll for a reason you're here.
4. You can even roll for a situation.
5. No powers! Sorry--enjoy that.
6. Oh, and try not to die.
NOTE: This meme can potentially contain triggers, for violence and psychological torture in particular. Please take heed!
why have you come?
1. You're searching for someone. A relative, a friend, a dead lover. Someone has led you to this quiet little town.
2. An accident. You got lost in the fog, the roads fell off into chasms, you thought you saw someone in the road and crashed. Time to venture farther in for help.
3. Returning visitor. You've come here before, to the lovely little resort town, and had a beautiful time. But this second trip will be different.
4. An escape. You're running from something ... or someone. A crime you committed? Grief? Too bad you ran to the wrong place...
5. Wildcard, or make up your own!
what horrors do you encounter?
1. You just met. You've only been able to find each other, no one else in town. Stores are deserted, doors are locked, silence is everywhere. What happened here? What's going on?
2. A shuffling in the night, the fog, or in a tight dark hallway of an abandoned building. A strange creature is moving toward you. Maybe humanoid, maybe not. They can be powerful. They can be slow. They can vomit acid. Time to pick up whatever plank, knife, or gun available to you ... if you both want to live.
3. A dark secret from your past is returning to haunt you. It manifests in hallucinations, the town reaching deep inside your mind to paint the surroundings in grotesque symbolism. Yet, the other person can't seem to see what you see.
4. The walls are peeling away. Or maybe you got knocked out and just woke up to an entirely different kind of town. There are chains, rust, fans, orange light, splatters of blood. A horrific version of what used to be around you. Welcome to the Otherworld.
5. That other person with you--you see them as someone they're not. Someone from your past that you loved or feel bone-wracking guilt over. And no matter what they say, that they're not, they're someone else, you just can't help but see...
6. The town has driven you insane. The monsters, the guilt you may carry. It's all coming back to you. You need to lash out. At anything. At anyone.
7. Wildcard, or make up your own!

[The cars dead and the distance he traveled with no stops, towns or even gas stations makes the idea of trying to walk out of this place daunting. Maybe the team is just out there in this empty, creepy little fog enclosed town and just aren't answering their phones.
Yeah, that's it.
Dr. Collins hefts his briefcase, checks the laughably inadequate mandatory pistol they issued him and makes his way down the main street. He's not all too agile or sneaky so he figures his best bet is open ground. If not for the side holster and the pistol he'd look like your average, stressed out and anti social desk jockey with his button up shirt, tie and faded slacks.]

what happened? who did this?
she knew she was unlikely to get answers since it seemed that she was alone in a small room that looked like a utility closet. carefully getting up, she checked herself over for any wounds and other than her head hurting she seemed fine.
beth started to carefully shift through the things in the closet, trying to find anything that could aide her. she knew better than to call out if anyone was there because it would likely draw the attention of walkers towards her location.
after a minute of looking around she found a flashlight and tried to turn it on. it took a few shakes and maybe even hitting it against her thigh before it came on. she shined it through the room and almost dropped it when she spotted daryl slumped against a corner. )
Daryl, ( she called out as she made her way to him and started to shake him awake when she noticed that he was still breathing. ) wake up.

Coach | Left 4 Dead 2 | OTA
[Somehow, someway, Coach has found himself separated from the rest of the group. Something tells him that he's nowhere near New Orleans though. There's no Silent Hill in any part of the south that he knows of. True too its name, it's quiet. Given that silence is better than the sound of a witch's crying, he'll take what little joy there is from this whole situation.
God, he needs to find everyone before he admits that he's starting to miss Ellis's ramblings. The four of them have stuck together since the beginning of it all and he very much intends on finding them again.]
Screwy ass town - !! [he swings his ax at this sack of meat for the last time] with a screwy ass name...! [Okay, one more swing for good measure. Once he's made sure that thing won't get up again, he turns to move onward, calling for Rochelle, Ellis, and even that ingrate Nick.]

In his mind, it's more of a security blanket. Something to feel good about, but would ultimately do little to improve the situation at hand. Ethan points the gun down at the ground like they tell you to do in the movies or at gun ranges.
Whens the last time he actually went to a gun range? His first year?
Ethan's about to cut off the stranger when something scrapes metal against stone in the alley way right on the other side of the building Ethan was hiding by.]
This is not happening... Hey! Get inside! Hurry!
[Because Ethan is now running as fast as his out of shape legs can take him across the street towards Omid. Gun still pointed down.]
no subject
His first instinct is to look for something blunt, but something about that scraping sound and that guy's reaction is telling him that it might not be any other walker. (And what the hell can be worse than that?)
He waits for the man to catch up to him before keeping up with his pace. One thing he'll always retain is to never show his back towards a stranger. The bathroom doesn't have a lock, so he dashes towards a building that looks like it does. Some corporate office? He's not sure but he's going.]
What the hell is it?
no subject
Dangerous!
[Yes, that is far from an actual answer but it seems like being blatant is better than explaining it while running.
Once he reaches the door of the building, he throws it open and bravely leads the way inside. There's actually little to no bravery involved as the threat of the unknown is less than the threat he's seen.
At least he holds it together long enough to wait for Omid to come in before slamming the door shut and leaning against it heavily. It takes him a bit to catch his breath, he is in poor shape for this sort of thing.]
What it is is probably a very dangerous instance of a larger scale problem. As it's the more immediate threat, I'm more concerned for it than I am the bigger issue.
[That doesn't quite make sense so he let's out a heavy breath and leaves off with something less assuring.]
I don't have a name for it. It's either in our heads or spawned by the town itself. It's made of flesh, bone, blood, oil and rusted metal. Its purpose I can only assume is to kill people. At least if we're lucky that's its purpose.

Also, she optionally comes with a scary former Khmer Rouge child soldier (former on both counts, he's somehow survived to be her age) who heads a containment team that's about what you'd expect under that kind of leadership.))

[He's lost his field agents, or maybe they lost him. The fog is a nightmare to navigate. One minute they were sweeping out into it due to a strange animal sound, the next there's not a trace of them. Maybe they went into buildings, maybe they chased something ahead, but either way Ethan doesn't even know which direction they took anymore.
So one lone scientist with a hand gun and very little firearms training is left wandering the fog. How long has he been here? There's no sign of what time of day it is and even the land marks aren't helping. Maybe he should return to the SUV they transported him here in. Only how does he get back? He's pretty sure that gas station was on the other side of the street last he checked, but that would mean he got turned around somehow.
Now's not the time to panic, now's the time to stop and think. Only he's not too keen on stopping out in the open like this with lord knows what moving around in that fog. His file on it said the town swallowed up people, that the fog may have a memetic proponent and that the air caused visions or hallucinations. The air tested clean though and the fog was just that, fog. Abnormally moving fog but fog none the less. So there's got to be something else causing this.
Why they decided to pull him from his desk after all these years of carefully cultivating his position to avoid this sort of problem is beyond him.]

When a research team had gotten lost in Silent Hill, Dr. K had been dispatched with team Demon's Jaw - the containment team with the most topopathy specialization of anyone in the continental U.s. - to find them, and they'd all thought they had it in the bag, because of how thoroughly they'd conquered the subway. However, they're finding out now that this town is a different breed entirely - the anti-ecto generators had lost effectiveness quickly, which is something that even Dr. K's never seen before, and then they'd finally shorted out and sullenly refused to be coaxed back into life even after most of their parts had been replaced. Now, they're discovering that even the telekill helmets aren't completely effective, either - monsters are something they'd expected here, because they saw them almost every day in Seattle, but members of the team are starting to discover they're seeing different things - and the two out of twelve who have never taken a fully human life aren't seeing anything at all except fog and derelict buildings.
Dr. K and Gauron have both caught fleeting glimpses of the Drowned King, the nightmare to end all nightmares, but the more it happens, the more they're starting to compare notes and believe it isn't actually real. True manifestations of Keter-class anomalies seldom happen in spaces that are themselves Euclid- or Keter-class anomalies, so there's some slight reassurance in that, at least.
Finally, one of the two unaffected operatives confirms that they have definitely arrived at the location where the previous containment team was last known to have checked in. Gauron and Dr. K look at each other for a moment, before she calls into the radio and the fog, "This is sierra charlie papa track echo kappa short ordinal 0272-mu-1-alfa--"
She pauses, so that Gauron can add, "And track chi sierra, short ordinal 0118-mu-1-alfa."
"From all units in range other than Demon's Jaw, we are requesting assayance condition yellow," she concludes.

Aaron Taylor | WOD OC | OTA
[Aaron's here looking for someone. Maybe it was a dream, maybe it was a message, maybe it was a trick played by an entity he still can never fully understand.
Either way he found himself in this fog enclosed town. He made his way down the empty street, not yet fully comprehending how bad things are and not really having the self preservation to not be obvious. For all intents and purposes, he's an older teenager with worn out jeans, a punk band t-shirt that and sneakers that have seen better days.
Maybe he shouldn't walk around ghost towns while being so exposed.]
B:
Oh shit, oh shit!
[Now he's done it. The air raid siren signaled the beginning of everything going to hell. When things first started appearing he had planned to change forms and deal with them head on. When he found he couldn't shift to the monster he is, he tried just leaving town through means only the spirits can manage. That failed too.
Now he's running down alley ways, climbing fences and crawling through holes. To him, the setting around him is rapidly corroding and the fog is taking a more sinister tint. There's noises and movements that signal things he rather not see clearly are on the hunt. Aaron's trying his best to avoid them all and not really watching where he's running.]
C:
[Aaron's a monster by nature. Technically he's a half spirit follower of the spirit of Coyote but that manifests as being able to change into an animal or werebeast.
In this town, he might not have access to those powers or strengths but that doesn't keep the place from outing him for the monster he is. There's a lot of guilt he left behind, deaths he blames himself for and bad luck following him wherever he goes. He's killed as well though he's convinced himself those are monsters he faces, not people.
In the end this teen is more than he wishes to be seen.
(Feel free to notice animal traits, blood stains, fangs, claws or a predatory nature that he doesn't realize are showing.)]
A.
He's new. He has to be. No one who's spent more than 24 hours in this town would walk so openly in the middle of town, practically daring the Order's masked stormtroopers to snatch him up on one of their patrols. He's not even carrying a weapon. He's dog meat.
The smart thing to do is to stay where he is and let whatever happens to the kid happen. Not his problem, not unless he makes it his problem. But even after a month in this town, letting someone walk into a fate worse than death isn't a line he's ready to cross. Sometimes smart has to take a back seat to right.
They're coming. It's now or never. Coming up from behind, Andy grabs the older boy quickly, pulling him back with him into the alley before the Order patrol sees them. Covering his mouth with one hand, he leans in, his tone urgent but not threatening.]
If you want to live, stay low and-- [A quick, pained grunt from the inevitable retaliation.] --and stay quiet. They're coming.
[He doesn't tell the boy who is coming. He'll see soon enough.]
