Maybe people just figure hundreds of years of practice at love making makes vampires really, really good at it. On the other hand, tThe bloodsucking may be a great fetish source, something about a quick sting of pain followed by pleasure. When a vampire is hungry and isn't quite so decent or hard up as to lower himself to only buying blood at the butcher's or trapping and draining small animals instead, their dietary supplement of preference is human blood. He'd been cautious of many threats, but getting turned into an immortal, blood craving monster had not been on the list. Before it happened, he would have ranked it someone between "gored to death by a unicorn" and "midnight battle with a werewolf." These days he was questioning that list. He should have known something was wrong with Reyes, but some things are impossible to predict. The why of his former friend had turned him still escaped him. He did, however, know for a fact that vampires weren't as fire prone as one might exact. At least when explosions are involved.

As the years marched on, he let the world think him dead and he found a way to put his new existence to use. He traded Overwatch blue for all red, while he dispensed his own manner of justice. He followed leads across the world, seeking out the only one who could reverse this, even if it meant killing the man. But between sightings, he had to feed. If he didn't, he'd never have the upper hand. So fed on criminals, those who needed to be put down anyway.

That night, he'd wiped out a rather brutal gang hiding out in a warehouse on the outskirts of Los Angeles. He'd ensured that even those he'd fed from wouldn't be getting up again. But just as with when he'd actually had a name he answered to, justice was not the same to everyone. He was wiping out criminals that others had ignored, but some might call it murder. Then again, just as he hadn't known there were vampires in the world until he felt fangs in his neck, he didn't know there were those who might be hunting him.

When watching for intel, he knew what to look for. Signs of which people were active in which areas. How to tell ghost stories from the real deal. But when he started picking up on this new trail, he thought it was just warped accounts of Reaper sightings. Bodies drained of blood. People going missing. There was a solid enough trail that he knew there Talon had a hand in this, but he thought the scent he was following was something completely different. He wasn't prepared.

Piecing together clues, he'd narrowed down the possible next victim. All he had to do was wait. But since he was expecting Reyes, he was watching for a close range visit. He was watching the shadows on the ground, perched on a second floor balcony. Just high enough to be hidden, but close enough to see things clearly. He thought the building at his back was more than enough cover, but he had no idea he was sitting in someone's web.

[ At the start of everything, it was never meant to be anything more or less than a simple exchange -- blood and information... for continued freedom and information. Being a respectable detective means having sources: people who will talk about the latest and most valuable prizes that any respectable thief desires, first and foremost. Goro Akechi happens to be just that kind of detective... and Akira Kurusu happens to be just that kind of thief.

So, where this detective intended to use this thief simply for continued leads on other criminals and a generous helping of the very thing he lives on, he assumes this thief intended to use him as a means to remain free to roam and learning exactly where the next target rested. Goro only assumes, because he never bothered asking.

It happened out of nowhere.

Or so he's telling himself is the case. Truth be told, the deeper parts of his mind know that the subtle flirting and the occasional lingering glances, even early on, hadn't been just for show. It's a little difficult to successfully tell yourself that lie, when your own touches were so quick to turn desperate, the moment the dam broke. In just a matter of seconds, it's gone from needing blood to needing... far, far more. His body is tense and his mind is a swirl of thoughts that he should probably shove back before--... ah... never mind. As long as he's careful in keeping a distance between his hips and Kurusu's, he should be able to hide the evidence of his own arousal.

He's managing to keep himself under some form of control, but the drag of his tongue over the fresh bite is a lot slower than it needs to be. And his hands probably shouldn't be sliding down the other young man's chest. He should move his mouth away from Kurusu's neck before talking, and yet... ] Are you all right?
