Warning: Be aware that this meme deals with dark subjects like slavery and may also contain non-consensual/dubiously consensual sex, violence, and kink.
SLAVES
1. The Newbie - This is your very first auction and you don't quite know what to expect. Hopefully you remember your training and don't disgrace yourself in front of your new master. Hopefully someone thinks you're worth buying at all.
2. The Oldtimer - You've been bought and sold and bought again so many times. You've seen it all before and don't think this time is going to be much different. In fact, the only real anxiety you've got is whether or not someone's going to pay for a more than slightly used slave.
3. The Pet - You're a pleasure slave. A bed warmer. A decorative piece of artwork. You're meant to look pretty and be pleasing and not much else.
4. The Guard - Your master hired you because of your ability to swing a sword or shoot a gun, not your looks.
5. The Escape Artist - Somehow you always manage to squirm out of your master's chains. Too bad you seem to get caught after a while. Maybe your next daring escape will be permanent. Then again, maybe your next master has special ways of keeping you locked up.
6. The Undercover - You aren't a slave at all, you're just pretending to be one. Why? Well that's up to you. Either way, your cover is blown if you don't act the part.
7. The Specialist - You have a skill that no one else has. Something rare and valuable. Something your master needs more than anything else.
MASTERS
1. The Customer - You've owned slaves before and this trip to the market is nothing new to you. Still, you're hoping to find something worth your while.
2. The Gift - Someone bought a pet for you, isn't that nice of them? Or maybe it isn't so nice. Did you even want a slave in the first place? Well you're stuck with one now.
3. The Giver - You're selecting a slave for someone else, and they need to be perfect. Perhaps you'd better test them out first to make sure you're getting your money's worth.
4. The Trainer - You specialize in taming unruly slaves and making them over into perfect, obedient, well-trained pets.
5. The Rebel - You hate the idea of slavery, but the system isn't going to go away any time soon, so the next best thing is to buy up any slave you can get your hands on and free them, right?
6. The Companion - You want someone to be with you always, someone you can talk to and depend on, someone who will never leave your side. It's a good thing that money can buy that these days.
7. The Undercover - You're not actually a Master. You're at the auction for an entirely different reason. Maybe it's special policework, maybe you're trying to hunt down a certain someone. Either way, your cover is blown unless you act the part.
As always, feel free to use a combination of scenarios or make up your own if you have other ideas.
Snagged from here.

If anything, it solidified that he did right in keeping the thing that made the boy happy in his life. Jack aims to keep it that way. Maybe they can help each other in that respect.
Until one day Yuri is late.
He is not just late...he does not return at all.
Helsing pesters him, meowing loudly when normally the creature won't come near him. Even now she keeps her distance, but she meows incessantly.
"Okay, Okay. We'll go look."
Jack retrieves the kitten's carrier from Yuri's room and places her in it. He doesn't want to leave her unattended if he ends up being gone for a few days while he looks for Yuri.
no subject
Two police officers stand on the porch. If they are alarmed to be faced with a kitten-wielding vampire, their faces do not show it. (Though the smell of them might tell otherwise.)
"Soldier Morrison?"
Clearly it isn't a social visit. The police and the military have as little interaction as possible. And only orders could bring them to a Soldier's home at night.
no subject
It isn't like Yuri to stay out...so on top of his usual nocturnal glow, his eyes are practically burning.
Still...he knows who and what he is.
Jack saluted.
"Yes. How may I be of assistance, officers?"
He nodded toward the meowing cat case.
"Sorry...I was just heading out...but...would you like to step inside?"
Doing business on the doorstep wasn't a good plan in case it ever got ugly.
no subject
"That - Won't be necessary. Do you own a small, blond slave with green eyes? He's been in our holding cells since this morning. He assaulted a citizen and two officers."
Slaves can be charged with crimes. But since they're property, it's the owners ultimately responsible. Morrison is going to be expected to make any reparations. Of course, there's a process. He really should have been notified hours ago...
no subject
"I do."
At the news that Yuri was being held, Jack could not help but blink.
"Wait...what? Why wasn't I notified of this earlier? I'm sure I can talk sense into him. I'm sorry for the trouble. If you take me to him, I'll make sure to convince him to not repeat his mistakes."
no subject
It isn't law to have one of those, but it's clearly made the policeman's job harder. He can't resist the pointed look at Morrison for this oversight. Really, it's almost as bad as letting a dog run around without a collar.
"He's being held at the West Elm station. I'm sure you'd prefer to take your own vehicle."
Because the police would prefer not to share one with the Soldier.
no subject
“Oh...I did not ever get one activated? Must have slipped my mind. You know...I didn’t expect him to last this long to be honest. It has been a pleasant surprise for the both of us I am sure.”
He says it with a straight face, like it is how he really feels and like it really did slip his mind. Most people wouldn’t question him the way the officer does...so Jack feels no guilt in attempting to put some unease into him for good measure.
He nods about the car, thinking more about the ride back than getting there. He wants to have privacy with Yuri. He will drive his own car and not summon a driver.
“Of course.”
Cat carrier in hand, Jack retrieved a set of keys and retrieved a less flashy black car from his garage and within a few minutes, he was at his destination.
He left the carrier in the passenger seat, though he unlatched the door for the kitten in case she felt like exploring the vehicle.
“Wait here.”
no subject
Spotting Morrison, though, he lightens. Just for a second. Which is pathetic. It shouldn't be a relief to see a fucking vampire. How has life gotten this screwed up? The scowl rolls back in.
"Give me my bag," he snarls. Which earns a shake from an escort. Clearly tired of the attitude. Even if the owner is here, that doesn't mean the officer has to take this from a slave. Yuri gasps as more bruises get jostled.
"As you can see, this behavior has made processing difficult," the desk clerk drones. Though she does produce a backpack.
no subject
"I can see that. I'll take him off your hands...see that he's disciplined accordingly at home. Now...if you'll excuse us."
He can dream it will be that easy.
no subject
It's more trust then he's ever displayed before. Small as it is.
The desk officer nods. "Normally these charges would require 30 days in prison. But I take it he's a... personal resource?"
Which is a polite way of saying 'food.'
"Considering that, and your ranking, your home will be suitable. Keep him there for one month. Away from the public. Agreed?
It takes a second for that to sink in. No public means no dance classes. For a month.
"What?!" Yuri howls. "I didn't do any- Hrk!!"
A fist drives the wind out of him this time. Yuri doubles over. Wheezing and fighting back tears.
no subject
“You would be right. He is.”
Keep it short, keep it sweet. Get in, get out.
The soldier nodded again.
“I appreciate that, officer. I’ll make sure he stays at home And only home.”
The punch to Yuri catches him off guard.
“Yu-...You mind taking it easy? He was expensive!”
Jack stops himself from aging anything more but his hand is up, though he isn’t sure who he is motioning to-the officer or Yuri.
“Come on, Yuri. I am taking you home. You’ve caused these gentlemen enough trouble.”
He’ll take care of things at home...bandage him up...maybe after a week or so even have a dance tutor come? The heat was on now and he was not about to let Yuri out of the house for the next month if that was all it took to get it off of them.
no subject
"That will do, Henricks. I'm sure a Soldier is capable of proper discipline."
'Hendricks' grumbles something about his opinion on Soldiers. Then shoves Yuri forward. It's only the years of training that keep him from falling on his face. Stumbling against Morrison instead.
He doesn't have enough air to yell. It's all such a black jumble of pain and fury nothing more comes out.
no subject
Jack puts his hand on Yuri's shoulder to catch him. His grip is strong and he holds tight without looking like he is holding tight.
"I am. He'll get what's coming to him."
A warm shower and a good meal...some of Jack's own field issue healing salve.
He's moving toward the door, guiding Yuri with his grip.
They need to get out of here.
no subject
Only his head. It still hurts to breathe.
He goes nowhere, of course. Not against a fucking monster. Yuri's getting swept to the car, maybe on his own feet, maybe carried. It doesn't really register.
Hopefully Morrison remembers the backpack too.
no subject
When they reach the car, Jack throws open the door and forces Yuri into the passenger seat before slamming the door. There is a joyful meow from Helsing in her carrier. Jack makes his way to the driver side and closes his own door. He runs a hand through his hair as he drives a away-not too quickly to atouse suspicion but quick enough that it is clear he is serious about getting Yuri home.
“Jesus Christ, Yuri...are you alright? What did you do to get their attention?”
He doesn’t believe Yuri would go looking for trouble but he also knows the boy is a firebrand.
no subject
Helsing scrambles out of the carrier, clawing up Yuri's shoulder. He buries his face in her fur. Warmth washing in. Enough to push the black away, just a little. Enough that it registers he's - safe, Morrison's helping.
Then the question. Though Jack can't possibly know how unfair it is to ask that, Yuri has to fight back another wave of anger. He can't get mad again. Helsing will spook. It's the farthest he can think right now, but at least it's a step. Better then the blind rage that's driven the whole day.
"It wasn't my fault," he grumbles. Wincing as he feels something twinge.
no subject
"I know. I believe you. You don't have to convince me."
He caught that twinge out of the corner of his eyes.
"You alright?"
no subject
Going by the last few experiences, Yuri will talk. When he's ready. But it's no good trying to pull things from him like this. Clearly scared and furious about it.
Helsing squirms loose, though it's just to settle on Yuri's lap. Purring emphatically. His urge to scream lessens by a fraction. Instead there's a deep, shuddering breath. The fucking vampire's brought Yuri his cat. To bail him out of a police station.
Is life ever going to make sense again?
"Can we just... go home."
It's the first time he's ever called Morrison's place that. But it's better then being out here. At least in that house anyone gives a damn about Yuri as a person.
no subject
The Soldier nods.
"Yeah. We can go home."
He paused a moment.
"We'll get you patched up and everything. I'm...something of a field medic. But...but yeah, we'll go home."
He doesn't speak again, letting the remainder of the drive home remain silent save for Helsing's loud purring. Jack looks behind them every once in awhile to make sure they are not being followed.
So far so good.
They are soon home and Jack pulls into the garage and shuts the door before turning off the ignition and getting out. He opens Yuri's door before disabling the alarm and unlocking the house from the garage.
Once Yuri and the cat are inside, Jack is up the stairs in a flash, moving with his usual ghost like speed and stealth to ready his charge, getting fresh towels and washcloths ready before Yuri is even at the stairs.
Jack leaves his handiwork and exits just as Yuri is making his way up the stairs.
"You need anything? Food? Tea? Something a little stiffer?"
no subject
"Are you - trying to be funny?"
Because it's really hard to tell - Whoops. Shouldn't have stopped. Yuri sways a bit, grits his teeth then takes another step.
no subject
Jack stops mid sentence and moves to catch Yuri...who catches himself it seems.
“Here. Here let me help you.”
Jack moves quickly and sweeps the boy off his feet, slipping one hand under his knees and the other across his shoulders.
“I’m sorry. I can’t tell sometimes...”
How fragile actual humans are...but he does ‘t dare say it out loud because he does not want to Yuri to think he is judging the boy. He has been through a traumatic ordeal.
“I...I don’t know what you need sometimes. You aren’t a child but sometimes I can’t tell what would help.”
no subject
Morrison at least seems to be figuring out how to talk to him. The confession only gets confused silence. What's there to say? No, Yuri isn't a kid. He's still not old enough to know how to answer that. There was supposed to be more time to figure it out.
The quiet holds until they reach Yuri's bedroom. The feeling of safe slams into him so hard it's almost a shock. This is his stuff, his clothes, his cat already leaping to the bed. Never mind it's with some kind of science monstrosity.
As Yuri's set down, he scrubs at his eyes. Grumbling, "If you're so sorry - you shouldn't have let them hit me again."
Again. So. Another fun tidbit from his day.
no subject
"I didn't want them to...but...I couldn't let them know that I cared. I could not risk letting them know I..." He paused.
"I care about you more than a toy or a pet. I can't let them know that. If a Soldier shows signs of....unreasonable attachment...they can be taken in for reconditioning. So we get trained all over again and I have a pretty decent life so I'd just as soon not."
It is an explanation.
"I'm sorry I could not protect you."
And an honest apology.
no subject
...uncomfortable. Almost impossible to believe, really.
"Doesn't matter. Not like anyone can."
His head aches. Mostly from the throbbing of the black eye, but the rest of the day's crashing in. Yuri's sore and gross, wearing his own blood. Though it isn't all his. Morrison may be able to smell the difference this close. That's something at least, he got some hits in.
no subject
The vampire nodded slowly. That's just how it was...how it had always been.
Jack's nostrils flared slightly.
"So...who did you take a chunk out of? I know all that blood isn't yours."
He gave a half smile.
