THE VACATION MEME

 

 

Everybody needs a little time off and this is yours! Grab a friend and go on a trip together! Grab SEVERAL friends if you want!

How To Play

1) Post your character with their name/canon and any preferences in the subject line.

2) Get a die or hop over to the RNG and roll for a location! Reason for the vacation and method of transit are up to you!

3) Tag others with what you've rolled!

4) Go someplace fun and have adventures together!

 

The Options

1) Sunshine!
You're off to someplace warm! Maybe you've gone on safari, to the beach, to the desert, to a beautiful winery in a southern locale. As long as you can soak up some sun you're golden! Enjoy and take a friend to do something fun with!

2) Snow!
You need to get away from the heat for a while. Go skiing or snowboarding, go ice fishing, skating, climbing! Take in the natural beauty of a far north place like Greenland or Alaska! Make some snowmen and have fun in the chilly weather!

3) Sights!
You want to go see something AMAZING, or maybe not so amazing. Pyramids, ruins, cathedrals, caves, big exciting cities, remote natural wonders. Go see a gallery, a museum or the largest ball of twine on the continent! The world is your oyster!

4) Sounds!
IT'S CONCERT TIME! Are you going to a rock show, to the symphony, to a small slam poetry gathering or to a big fundraiser event? Is it outdoor or indoor, big or small, and most importantly what's the music like?! Dance or just listen and enjoy!

5) Staying In!
The weather sucks, or maybe leaving home is just too much work, but you're going to stay put and relax. Invite your friends over to have fun! Watch a movie, or play games (rock band, cards, monopoly), cook together, eat together, or just chat. 

6) Wildcard!
Mix and match the above or come up something completely different! Go nuts!

[That they can show up at one of the most expensive and exclusive places in Tokyo and still get a table on a Friday at 9pm is a testament both to Toni's international popularity and Pepper's skill with short term reservations at high end places.

Toni blows a kiss to an adorably over-excited bus boy with a cell phone as they're led to their table, but otherwise she pushes through the bustle that rises around them, bee-lining for the room set aside for them with her arm linked happily through Natasha's.

She lets out a whoof of breath once the sliding door closes, smiling brightly as she settles down at the table.]

Normally, Reiza wouldn't step foot in the kitchen, but since she and Einam got left behind on whatever it was that the rest of the team was doing (she stopped questioning these things by now), she felt like she had to at least try to make things up to him as best as she could...

[ The texture of the snow was absolutely perfect. Not too thick, not too icelike. It was so fluffy that Undertaker could curl up and take a nice cool nap right on top of it, or maybe dig a hole to call his own.

It wasn't, not even before it turned into a search-and-rescue mission. Three people, all trapped in caverns near the ocean (caverns filled with hostile creatures, mind you).

Yeah, this mission was going just peachy.]

[the suggestion had been brought up one evening when the entire family had been seated for dinner at one of the usual restaurants they went to. Kurama's step-father had brought the idea up, and Shiori had mentioned how nice it'd be for them to all go. Kurama's step-brother, excited about the idea of going on a trip, asked if it was possible to bring a friend. Shiroi smiled and said it wouldn't be too much of a problem, and even offered the idea of Kurama bringing a friend as well. the redhead had initially declined the idea, not really sure who to ask to come with, especially with everyone doing their own thing at this point in time.

it wasn't until the leaving date came closer that Hiei had come for another unplanned visit, and Kurama wondered if the fire demon would be interested in going. when he brought the news up to him, the little demon gave a curious look, and questioned him about the trip -- what the point of a vacation was, where he was going, for how long, etc.

Kurama supplied him with answers for each question, amusement growing his eyes as he watched Hiei mull the information over. once he was done explaining, he quietly suggested about him coming along. at first Hiei was resistant, appalled at the idea of doing something so human. though as the date came closer, he surprisingly showed interest on tagging along. of course it wasn't made official until Shiori came into the picture, happy to hear that one of her son's friends was interested in joining them.

when the day in question came, the Minamino-Hatakana family and guests piled into the car before heading out. the trip itself took quite some time, but eventually they arrived, immediately checking in to the hotel. they were given three separate rooms, one for Shuuichi and his friend, one for Hatakana and Shiroi, and the last one for Kurama and Hiei.

still in their room, Kurama was digging in his suitcase, looking for certain clothes before glancing to where the fire demon was]
