The two of you have decided to run away together. Bottom line, you've come up with that plan and you've worked up the guts and the means to do it. The most obvious source of a desire to leave together is a romance you can't have until you're gone from this place. It's like all the eloping that happened in those epics of old. How charmingly beautiful! How romantic! Who says the old ways have gone out of style?

But other reasoning behind the decision could be from the serious - you both want to escape imprisonment, an oppressive atmosphere, or a miserable destiny - to the more lighthearted. Maybe an adventure is just what you need, where you'll finally get to see the world...and, slowly, fall in love. Because that's what the crux of all this is: even if the escape started out as mere convenience, you both want to stay close and work together. In the end, when you've finally run where you want to be and the danger, if any, has passed, you may find you don't want to go your separate ways.

Leave that to me. [Seimei smiles smoothly, opens the car door and ushers Shuichi inside. A young man Shuichi likely does not know is driving.] She went too far tonight. I won't let her see you again.

[He slides into the seat beside Shuichi.] Soubi, drive.

[Shuichi stared at his feet and nodded at Soubi before getting in the car, keeping his eyes away from the stranger as he buckled his seatbelt.]

I...I know she did but.... [Shuichi couldn't justify it, he couldn't keep looking at the truth because it hurt him deeply. His mother.... did not love him the way she loved Seimei. His ears drooped down as he stared at his hands.]

You'll....stay by my side though.... Right?

[Seimei wrapped an arm around Shuichi's shoulders, offering him some food before he answered.]

I will. There is a place for us. You might like it. [He nuzzled one of Shuichi's ears.] I wonder if you will always need me?

[Shuichi politely declines the food, pressing slightly and shyly into Seimei's nuzzle. Shuichi was shy of touch but one couldn't be Seimei's brother and not be used to his over affection. Nor be attentive of some of his quirks.

Like carrying hand sanitizer when with him because Seimei got upset when other's touched them. Originally he tried reassuring Seimei that it was okay but now this was a much more efficient solution.]
