MAKING MAGIC MEME Magic is something intensely intimate. Whether it's something inherent in you from when you're born or something drawn out in rituals and summonings, it's full of depth and wonder and potential dangers. Maybe you're showing someone that doesn't have magic what you can do, maybe you're sharing magic with someone you love, winding things together. Maybe you're heading out with some friends to make a salt circle and do some summoning. The point is you're not in it alone. You're sharing in this intimate experience whether it's new for you or old hat. Take care of yourselves and each other; hope that the person you know isn't prejudiced against magic. • Top level your character. Include any details you might think are relevant. Or don't. As always, we're not the cops. • Naturally you can AU your characters to have magic or AU them into other canons that have magic! [In Felicia's defense, she naturally knows better. There's a reason, amongst many others, that her parents kept the fact the women in her family can enter and exit dreams as they please a secret and that's the fact that said dream tinkering also opens the door to other things. Not just the sheer exhaustion that comes with spending the hours one would normally spend sleeping on digging around in someone else's subconscious, but that the action leaves her own mind open to the paranormal. It's like leaving a fresh hot roast chicken unattended on the supernatural picnic table; sooner or later a ghost bear is coming for a leg or two.

[After the war ended, it swiftly became apparent they couldn't keep living with Dora's mother. They needed space, and so did she, and with Dora reinstated as an auror and Remus picking up steady freelancing work, it was within the realm of possibility.

Harry was the one to offer the solution: 12 Grimmauld Place, left to him with all it's dark history and curses, both ancient and intensely recent. He had no wish to live there himself, and had felt that Dora, and thus Teddy, had as much claim to the place as he did. If anyone could make that house a place he'd come to visit, it was the two of them, he'd said. So, it was settled. It would be where the Lupins would make their home. Remus couldn't deny that Sirius would have approved.

But first, they had to make it a suitable place for a child to live, and that meant the sort of clearing out of Dark magic and curses that they simply didn't have the time or resources for during the war. Teddy's with his Gram for the day, and they've recruited help in the form of Bill and Charlie, who are tackling the main floor, but Dora and Remus have the upper rooms. Working in pairs is just a matter of safety.

Remus gives a wry smile as he looks over the daunting task before them; the library, full of the worst sort of cursed tomes and books.]

[It actually isn't the first time Magnus has had something shiny stolen from him, he's even been mugged before (not that it went well for the mugger), but this is absolutely the first time he's magically reached for the culprit and found a small furry animal gazing mournfully up at him. Before eating his necklace—all his necklaces, and three of his rings, how??—and wriggling out of his grip.

He learns, over the course of running after it and then giving up on that and instead using a few bits of fur to track it, that it is very fast and good at dodging, but cannot resist a jewelry shop. Magnus can sympathize, he can rarely resist a jewelry shop either, but he generally spends some time looking over the pieces on offer, chatting with the girl behind the counter. This one is just stealthily tucking brooches into its fur in the window display.

Magnus watches the creature turns a gaudy ring over in its little hands as if debating whether it's worth the effort, not realizing he may not be the only one at the window anymore.]
