✕ world info	Alice is a grad student of the arts that's currently employed as a TA while working on her dissertation. Being a permanent student since community college, the thought of being done is kind of daunting but she's excited to be done nonetheless. An empathetic person since childhood, Alice hasn't ever had a problem connecting with people or helping them with their problems. In fact, while work and school don't leave her with a lot of leisure time, Alice works for a charity on the weekends, trying to battle the city's rising crime rates in youth and lack of resources for getting out of bad home situations. In a city like the one Alice lives in ("affectionately" called Dystopolis by residents despite really being named Dream City), it's badly needed assistance. It's fulfilling work and she doesn't mind taking the extra chunk of any small amount of free time that she has to do it. Every person helped is a triumph and no personal feelings of glory or even thanks are needed. It's a small operation but an earnest one. No matter how tiring it is or how hopeless it seems, no one is ever a lost cause. Never ever. Alice is also a superhuman with very mild powers of artistic inducement - being around her inspires the inner artist, poet, singer, actor. It even works with people with a self-proclaimed complete lack of artistic skills, though to a lesser degree. Her powers don't compel artistic endeavors, they simply facilitate them. She's also currently the focus of an obsessive psychopath, but she doesn't realize it.

✕ world info	maggie is a young and quiet secretary in a high-profile law firm in sun city. she's soft and friendly and makes friends all around her despite her countenance, making sure to keep everyone comfortable and happy. her firm specializes in trials for supervillains and on getting not-guilty verdicts on loopholes in the law. at night, maggie is saint mary magdalene and her crimes involve the cleansing of sins - however, they don't so much align with the law or even the usual terms of vigilantism. if she sees something she considers a sin - cardinal or otherwise - she doles out punishment as she sees fit. the punishments are always violent, though not necessarily lethal. it just happens sometimes. maggie is technically a superhuman and her powers manifest in a stigmata that she can induce at-will. the blood/fluid that comes from it is acidic and one of the weapons in her arsenal.

'Taken in' by the wealthy Crane family, Gabriel now works as a bodyguard to their youngest son, Christian. Despite his height and stature, Gabriel's actually a giant softy. He's soft spoken when he does speak, and is more likely to let someone hit him than vice versa. That being said, he'll happily put his strength to good use if he sees someone in trouble or in danger. To say he's been mistreated over the years would be an understatement, but that's not something that'll come up easily. He has his issues, but tries not to let them get in the way of helping people or just being a good guy. .

Valryn's parents had no idea what they were in for having their first son, after priming a strong female firstborn to become a high ranking priestess. Valryn became just as devoted to Lolth, and perhaps raged with a more ambitious fire than his older sister when hearing the grand tales of the old days as the Drow tried to take the surface before being cursed and driven into the dark undercarriage of the world. As he grew older, he became resistant of the idea of becoming consort for a more prestigious spouse, to become her shadow to manage her affairs off screen, to lose his sense of identity to another family's legacy. He grew to learn wizardry and devoted himself to the practices of Lolth for magic, struggling with a clear and acceptable goal for his life -- until a serious of explosively dramatic events lead to a vision from his goddess, giving him her blessing (or what the Drow have called her "curse") to leave the Underdark and forge his own way on the surface, beginning with the alliance her shunned and exiled kin. Her most advantageous people would, in time, begin to follow. Which is the only reason why Valryn continues to align with his goddess -- as long as it continues to fund his interests. She's an excellent finder, she enables, she boosts, she can sniff out past and future events - but don't ask her to exorcise anything. That kind of decisive magic isn't her wheelhouse. She's good at reading people and enjoys making them happy - just don't count on that meaning she isn't going to do a lot of teasing on the way. ✕ world info	Young-ho comes from an Earth in the slight future (2062, three years after a near-Apocalypse situation had been thrwarted) where supernatural factions are known, but generally try to keep to the shadows unless absolutely necessary. He is the youngest vampire to be inducted as a Lord in their history, though only after his maker (and previous clan leader) was murdered by a rival faction. There are still many that don't consider him to be worthy of the title, but he does his best to prove them wrong (and the fact that he single-handedly avenged his maker's murder kinda helps that). Currently, he is trying to spearhead attempts at a hunter/vampire alliance to keep the balance between vampires and humans intact before they exterminate each other. He might seem intimidating, but honestly? He's kind of a big doof unless pushed. Her mother was(is?) a harpy, so naturally she is one too, but spent a lot of her childhood learning to live among humans. A brief encounter with Death left her strangely optimistic, a keen sense of what's capable of ending her life, and a love of gothic clothing styles to express this. Her family has been involved in helping out/funding various heroes like vampire/fey/demon hunters, and Viola does her part by collecting/understanding magic and history... though she's a low key thrill seeker and tends to nose around for this information, which can often lead into trouble! She's not the most adept fighter but can defend herself if needed. Damn good at making clothes, and can be fairly perverted with people she trusts.

She’s an attention grabber who is impulsive and needy, she’ll say whatever she has to say in order to get whatever it is she desires at the moment. The persona she likes to create on surface level is someone who is confident and self-assured, if not immature and irresponsible. She'll play mental chicken with most anyone she meets, whether they want to or not. All that said, she's deeply insecure. She doesn't know exactly what her place in this world is and is constantly caught between the desire to fit in or stick out. This entire act is something she's constructed over the years to try and get herself attention, and while it does get her attention, generally people don't stick around in the way she needs. She's slowly letting herself become more sincere, however she'll quickly revert back to default if she gets spooked by an interaction. She's a quick learner, but also extremely lazy. She wants to find the easiest way to do things and doesn't care if the results are messy. She's only aided by the fact that she's a great observer and pays attention to people and her surroundings constantly. He was assigned to a werewolf experiment that turned him into a huge bipedal werewolf as compared to his original big wolf form, which is used primarily for intimidation on his Bodyguard assignments. Somewhere along the way she fell into a career as an EMT and a side-gig in hedgewitchery. It's an interesting story, really. For the most part Dillie's a classic middle child looking to figure out who she is when she's not swamped by her large and loving family. Emotionally stable and grounded, she can nevertheless be demanding in her kneejerk need not to be overlooked. She likes taking care of people, thrives off a good argument, and is happiest transplanting new cuttings into her tiny apartment. The small space is packed with repurposed pots overflowing with greenery and plants, some of which are useful and others just decorative. If she talks to them, well, she's used to having scads of people around. Odds are she can stitch you up and set you to rights, but you'll get a weird big sibling/little sibling combo of an earful in the process.

With a claim to fame by being a descendent of Marie Laveau, making money conning tourists out her French Quarter hoodoo shop, comes easy. Thing is, she's got some real power and she might be convinced to use it to help someone if only she could get her mind off trying to fix her incarcerated husband who was infected by dark magic and went postal. Doesn't help that the ancestors use her like their personal radio communications device, only to relay portents of DOOM that she then has to fix. Doesn't help either that these visions are so real that she sometimes has trouble deciphering what's a vision and what isn't, which is a problem if you think you're crossing an empty street but are instead walking through three lanes of rush hour traffic. When she's not at the shop, you can find her giving walking tours of haunted NOLA and its voodoo history. Her role, however, in keeping the peace between the factions, is finding and keeping objects imbued with evil energy away from those that would use them to gain an upper hand over the witch/hoodoo community. In other words, she ain't gotta moment to herself, but she'll take time out to set you straight if you're about to do something stupid. And it's gonna sting.
