WHERE'D IT HAPPEN.
1. Home. Did you remember to invest in a first aid kit?
2. School/Work. This should be excellent for getting you out of doing stuff!
3. Outdoors. Predators like the smell of blood. Clean up asap.
4. In the water. Hopefully there aren't any sharks!
5. Other. Like a hospital. That'd be handy.

Let's just say this takes place in that (extremely fleeting) period of time between graduation and the beginning of the end. Kyousuke is already overseas, but the school year at Hope's Peak hasn't yet begun. That doesn't mean they're staying idle, though! There are other sites to observe, places that could be potential sites for the empire Kyousuke means to someday build. And who would he trust more to scout these sites than his two best friends? Never mind that neither of them know a damn thing about construction or what makes a lot suitable or anything like that. They're on the job!!

...However, the third site of the day is on some pretty uneven terrain, rocky and sloped, and someone was foolish enough to have worn kitten heels today. Surprise it was Juzo. No!!

So while they're heading back to the car, Chisa is lagging behind until there's a scuffling noise and a startled yelp and a thud. It happens fast enough that, by the time he turns around, Chisa's on the ground, whitefaced and holding onto her ankle. She's smiling, but it's that sort of automatic smile that happens when you're actually in a lot of sudden pain, but also the situation was so stupid that what the hell else can you do? ]

Ah... oops.

[In spaces that Wanda is familiar with, she can let herself get as distracted as she likes. She could wander the apartment building she grew up in with her eyes closed, even though it drove her parents mad because it could be, hypothetically, dangerous (why would she do a silly thing like that? Because it was soothing, obviously). She hadn't been quite as comfortable in the Avengers complex, but she'd been getting there. She was learning her way, didn't feel the need to watch her feet down every staircase or chide herself out of letting her thoughts wander lest it cause her to trip over her own feet.

Their being on the run, constantly moving into new temporary hiding places, hasn't been very helpful to Wanda. As much as she needed that calm that came from knowing her surroundings before she got powers, it's easily three times stronger an urge now, because it's just that much easier for her to get distracted. Even if she's not letting herself pry into minds, the stray sensation sometimes overwhelms her, or the strange places affect her in a way she wasn't expecting, or she's hit with a wave of anxiety for no good reason at all, or... there are a lot of explanations.

It's not unusual to see bruises on her in the normal places, arms and legs and even back occasionally. Some of that comes from sparring, some of it is just her slight clumsiness. Usually it's all right, the slight pains wearing off in a day or two, and even if it's not she wouldn't typically say anything, but the problem is that Steve happened to come upon her in the immediate aftermath of her own foolishness.

Read: her mind wandered just slightly as she was coming down the stairs and she took a few steps' worth of a tumble, which she braced with her right hand. Unfortunately this bracing led to her wrist being in an unusual and slightly overextended position, and maybe that wouldn't have hurt someone else but she's hurt both her wrists before, so the old aches are more easily exacerbated. All of which is to say she's currently sitting cross-legged at the bottom of the stairs trying not to cry.

But really, Steve, she's fine.]
