WHERE? Where do you look for business?
1 - STREET - You wait on the sidewalk, wink at the passing cars, dress yourself in revealing clothing and garish makeup. You don't cost much. Maybe you're desperate, or in debt, or your life fell apart. Maybe you're independent; maybe you have a pimp, and a quota to fill. Either way, you have to work hard for your living.

2 - HOUSE OF PLEASURE - It's a good life, isn't it? You have a place to stay, a roof over your head. You don't even have to leave the House -- or perhaps you're not allowed to. You could have a good madame, or a harsh one; maybe you can pick your clientele, even. If you cater to a certain odd set of tastes, though, you might not have a choice at all.

3 - TEMPLE - It is an act of worship, for you. Of piety. Sex is about fertility, the giving and receiving of energy, a sacred act. When you bed another, it is for the benefit of you both.

4 - IN PRIVATE - You're a call girl. An escort. You go to parties; you know how to speak the language of the rich and famous. You dress well, act confident, and know how to get what you want. You're a valuable companion, and they better be prepared to pay dearly for you, tonight.

5 - OTHER - For anything else you can think of!


WHY? Why are you hiring this particular person?
1 - CURIOSITY. Maybe you're bored, or you have a little extra money to spend, and you're up for a little experimentation.

2 - SECRETS. You need discretion; no one can know that you're cheating on your wife. Money is a good way to keep the both of you quiet.

3 - NEED. There's a desire you have that you can't satisfy any other way. Maybe it's your sexual orientation that you don't want anyone to know. Maybe it's something darker.

[There were certain things she wasn't supposed to do.

Like have such an interest (lust, attraction, desire) for races that weren't her own. What had started out as simple curiosity about other races had turned into something a bit deeper. More dangerous and involved.

The falling rain is apt, Steve decides. It suits his mood and his general feeling toward this century rather successfully. He's alone. Completely alone. All his friends are gone. Peggy, the one real crush he'd had, is old and has lived a lifetime without him. She doesn't need him to bother her.

SHIELD is waiting for something to go down. Until then, he's on his own. Someone, along the lines somewhere, hands him a number. Steve doesn't need the explanation. It's pretty self-explanatory. Beyond a few quick fumbles on a cot in the dark, Steve has very little experience but that doesn't mean he's not tired of it. This century doesn't look as poorly on one night stands as his had and right now, he's actually kind of glad about it.

He's lonely, painfully so and he fails miserably at picking people up in bars. Steve also isn't sure he's ready for a relationship. This is easier and quieter, with less of a commitment. SHIELD seems to prefer it. People can be paid to keep quiet about sleeping with Captain America.

So five minutes before his appointment, Steve is knocking on the door of the address he's been given. He's dressed in khakis and a button-up plaid, nothing fancy and he's trying not to be nervous.

It wasn't what she wanted, it was something she had to do. how vexing. Her cheeks blush against the cold evening air and her nose is pink as her hair. Her arms wrap around her belly tight as she tries to keep warm, heading to the address given to her alone. Being driven anywhere close usually upset her. She thanks the doorman, and moves silently to her destination.

Standing before the door, she snuffles a bit and checks herself in her mirror. So much makeup. The compact mirror clicks shut, and she taps her knuckles against the door. Her hands mesh behind her back and she prepares a soft smile.

She would pray for the experience to be bearable for once, but she knew better than to expect a little prayer to spare her the droll or horror.))
