THE ALIENS MEME

People always wondered if there was intelligent life out there beyond our solar system. Well lucky us, there is. But take away the lucky part and we're left with an alien race that wants nothing more than to use our bodies as incubators for their babies. If not out right kill us. They're intelligent and adapt to situations to overcome what is thrown at them and will do everything to find you. Once they do, who can say what will happen. 
 

Either way. You're going to die. 

Unless you can escape.

HERE'S WHAT TO DO:

• Post with your character (name and fandom in the subject).
• Other people reply and they become your 'team' the survivors trying to escape.
• Work together, or don't, to outsmart the Xenomorphs (the aliens).
• You will also run into these little suckers, and if they catch you they'll cling to your face, implanting an alien baby inside you. Have fun with that. They're hard to get off as their tail wraps around your throat, usually to knock the victim out to make them easier to handle.
• Get to an escape pod on the ship you're on, or blow up the ship. Maybe you all die. Either way, have fun!

[It's a relief to see Kai Leng in one piece, even if his weapon wasn't. Whatever these things were they were dealing with, they were nothing anyone had ever seen before. And Kaidan would need all the help he could get, Leng being the best operative for Cerberus to date.]

I lost contact with him ten minutes ago, he was near the bridge of the ship.

[And he gives the other a glance as he steps over to one of the aliens, dead now, and kneels down beside it's corpse. He's careful to not get too close, the blood leaking from it eating through the floor. His omni-tool comes up as he waves his hand over the corpse, trying to get any readings off it. Something to tell them what it was and what to expect.]

You've already had a run in?

[He'll nod at Leng's blade, not feeling any better about the situation seeing that. Standing now he'll read over what little his omni-tool tells him, nothing he hasn't figured out already.]

We should get moving, these things are fast, the Illusive Man had a few men with him, but I don't think they know what's coming.

Yes.

[ It's another brief response delivered with a scowl. Said run-in had not been smooth or pleasant but it's not something to talk about when there are more pressing matters to attend to. Getting the Illusive Man out of the ship and somewhere safe is the main objective and there is no time to waste if they're going to find him in one piece. ]

A few men won't be enough.

[ Kai Leng shifts around the corpse Kaidan examined and starts toward the bridge. He keeps his steps light, nearly silent and shifts his broken blade over to his dominant hand as he advances. ]

How many hostiles have you encountered?

[When Leng steps away, moving towards where the Illusive Man hopefully is and safe, he doesn't linger long by the alien's corpse. He soon falls in step, eyes falling to that broken blade again. Reaching back Kaidan grabs his assault rifle, an M-15 Vindicator, and offers it wordlessly to the other Cerberus operative. He knew the other man could handle himself, but these things weren't to be fought up close, not if they could help it.

There's a nod back where they'd come from.]

Three of them. Two up in the ducts above, I managed to down them before they got out, still took me by surprise though.

[Their blood eating through the metal above almost hit him, raining down onto the floor. Certainly not what he'd expected.]

Let's just hope there's not more than these to deal with, they're enough on their own.

[ Without offering his thanks, Leng places the ninjato on his back and reaches for the assault rifle. It isn't his favorite weapon - he prefers getting close to his targets - but it will get the job done in the given circumstances. After all, the earlier encounter he had could have gone smoother had he been equipped with a long-ranged weapon that didn't deplete his shields.

He gives the M-15 a brief once-over to check out its thermal clip. ]

Hope will get you no where. If something else turns up, we kill it.

[ Leng raises the gun, readying himself as they advance. No disturbances so far but it's best to be alert. ]
