 The Piggyback Ride Meme

Ahhh. The immortal piggyback ride. So versatile, there are so many uses for it—to transport the injured and the beloved, as a means of showing affection, and to even play. It's not just for romance. It can be done between parent and child, siblings, friends, medic and patient, even complete strangers and, in those rare moments, mortal enemies! Just be sure the person can carry you, yeah?

How this works:
→ Leave a comment with the usual information in the subject line: character name, fandom. Any preferences, including what you don't want, should be included as well. If you want, indicate if you want your character to Carry, Be Carried, or Both. 
→ Congratulations. Your character is one half of a piggyback ride with whoever tags them!
→ Tag around.
→ Feel free to roll RNG (1-9) if you cannot come up with scenarios of your own. 
→ Have fun, and be excellent to each other!

• 1 — Injury. (You can't walk like that. Here, let me carry you . . . )
• 2 — Romantic. (Obligatory shippy option.)
• 3 — Escape. (You're on the run and one of you is moving too slow or can't move at all!)
• 4 — Surprise! (That back right there? I'm going to jump the fuck on it and they don't even know it yet!)
• 5 — Duty. (EMT, military and disaster recovery personnel, firemen, etc. are sometimes required to carry civilians like this.)
• 6 — Game. (Chicken fight, park games, made-up games, whatever!)
• 7 — Wasted. (Go home, you're drunk. Except you can't walk . . . )
• 8 — Platonic or Familial. (It's such a beautiful day, can I carry you?)
• 9 — Fuck da police. (In other words, the random/whatever option.)

[The fight was winding down - they would soon have the Autobots routed, which was a relief. Mostly because fighting with a half-crushed foot and a few severed cables in the same foot was annoying. The pain, he could ignore. The limp made everything far more complicated than it fraggin' had to be.

Grunting as the recoil pushed him against the rock behind him as he fired his canon, Cliffjumper wasn't worried. He might not be able to walk very well, but with a bit of care while transforming he'd be able to drive himself home, no prob---

And then some fragged tossed a grenade, shattering the rock he'd been using as cover, pummeling his back-kibble and side and then, insult to injury, sending him flying. And, upon landing, crunching right against something more durable than rock in the exact wrong spot. There went his transformation cog.]

Rusting scrap!

[Rolling to his feet with a snarl, he didn't even get the satisfaction of causing a few more explosions and maybe shattering a bit of metal with the help of his glass gas; the Autobots were retreating.]

... Great.

[Or not so much, but he sent both Ravage and Soundwave away with his snarling, frustrated with himself. He would not be walking or<7i> driving himself back like this and he knew it.]

So this totally went sideways.

Peter had this whole plan about taking the team out to kick back their feet and chill out. Show Mantis the galaxy now that a Celestial jerkoff isn't dragging her all over the place like she's on a damn leash or something. No bounties, no nothing; just a solar week of goofing around doing whatever until someone got bored or they ran out of money. Considering the repairs and fuel costs, he figures they'd run out of money first but he'd planned to keep that to himself. Pre-Guardians, he would've just lifted some wallets and extended the stay that way but since he's working at the whole legit thing? That means keeping honest(ish).

They make it a total of three days before the party's crashed.

Peter doesn't get their names and with Mantis's leg hurt, he doesn't stick around to find out. For all he knows, these could be bounty hunters on old intel. Could be on any of their heads or all of them or maybe it's a last fuck-you from Ego. Point is they get separated, Peter ducking the blaster shots screaming blue overhead as he crouches down next to Mantis.

"I got you," Peter turns and motions for Mantis to loop her arms around his neck...and he hopes he doesn't have to explain what piggyback means. "I swear vacations aren't always like this."
