The Forced Separation/Reunion Meme

Your characters have been forced apart- be it by destiny, circumstance, or death. The only thing that's certain? It wasn't voluntary. Now, thanks to chance, luck, or fate, you meet again.

Tag with your character. Include name/series/preferences in subject line.
Roll RNG to determine the duration/cause of the separation.
Play out the separation, the reunion, or both.
Be excellent to each other.

Reason

1. Death - One of you died- or that was the general consensus, anyway. Whether you've been brought back or you were never really dead in the first place, who can say? All we know for sure is you're alive and kicking- more or less.

2. Argument - The two of you had a falling out, a fatal difference in opinion that resulted in the more or less permanent parting of ways. Now, time has passed. Maybe you see things a little differently?

3. Torn Apart - Neither of you wanted to be split up, but circumstances beyond your control have forced you apart. Parents, demons from hell, a job change, whatever it was, there was absolutely no stopping it. Just when it seemed like you'd never see them again- there they are.

4. Lost - You've been wandering on your own for so long, displaced and confused, with no real memory of how you got there. Somehow, through sheer dumb luck or the assistance of a stranger, you've been put back on the right path.

5. Life - Who can really tell when it happened? People just grow differently. At some point, you fell out of touch, missed a few phone calls, whatever it was, life got in the way, and they drifted out of your life almost without your noticing it.

She is still not used to contact, and if it was anyone else, Amy would have pulled away. But this was Rory. Not her Rory, but Rory nonetheless. "I did. I think. They touched me. I assumed I died."

But he was here-- unless... "What is the last thing you remember?"

Rory looked at her, still holding on tight. "River strapping my vortex manipulator round my wrist and telling me to stop finding interesting ways to try and kill myself and that there was someone I needed to see." He looked a few years older than the last time she'd seen him and much, much harder.

"Right. That doesn't make any sense to me." After he left, she assumed. Still, now she's a bit uncomfortable will all the touching. "River did this? How does she even know where I am?"

Rory let go, noticing her body language. "Because you've been on Apalapucia for" Rory glanced down at his borrowed Vortex manipulator "Three hundred and ninety four days." Anger flashed in his eyes, not directed at her. "They were nurses, not doctors. Following the rules until they didn't work. Then trying to make it right."
