This meme was a request from Anon You're in a hospital, and it could be for any number of reasons. Are you the patient, sick, injured or needing surgery? Are you visiting someone who is? Are you the victim of a crime that has left you requiring medical attention in the ER, or was it just some really bad sushi? Are you a doctor or a surgeon examining a patient before or after treatment, or having a chat with a colleague in the cafeteria or staff room? Or are you a caring nurse tending to your patients, or a not-so-caring nurse who really wishes they chose becoming a rockstar rather than handing out bed pans? Maybe you're just the janitor who bumps into patients in the hall, or the impatient ward clerk answering telephones? Or do you suddenly find yourself in hospital and sharing a room with a patient you have no choice but to strike up a conversation with? Whatever it is, you decide. You pick your hospital role, and taggers pick theirs that set the scene for why you are coming to interact together in a hospital. If you're not comfortable playing a doctor, nurse or medical professional, pick any of the other scenarios. There are numerous ways two people could be interacting in a hospital. Alternatively, if you are okay playing medical staff, your muse doesn't need to be such in canon for you to give it a go here. AU at it's best, as always. ...granted, he usually prefers to keep it to the apartment and rant and rave from there, but hey. Filthy Assistants occasionally don't listen and get Worried when he doesn't wake up for porn and Indian food and...he ends up places like this.

Wandering around in a bathrobe. And no pants, although fortunately it seems to be long enough to cover what needs to be. He's still got the plastic electrodes stuck to his chest from the monitor, though he's fortunately not dragging around said monitor with him.

He does, however, still have the IV pole attached to the line in his arm, as well as a cigarette he scrounged up from who knows where casually stuck in a corner of his mouth, and he's puffing away, looking as if he's seriously trying to sneak out of the place.

[The problem with being in a hospital with an abnormality like Yukuhashi's was that this entire place was deafening. Even filtering out the electrical impulses from the mechanical things around, the feelings of the patients and staff both more than filled in the gap. Really, he was only here out of necessity and... a bit of twisted practice, perhaps, in trying to sift and flow with all these impulses.

But there is one set of impulses that stand out above the rest, that seem to flare as he gets near the door. These emotions, hidden or not, twist Yukuhashi's heart and he can't help but go into the room.

Don't know much about your universe, and not sure if you know mine, so let's meet in the middle? Real-worldish AU?

If there's one place that needs divine intervention, it's the intensive care unit. At the end of the hall, Castiel comes upon a rather unusual sight.

The man in the bed couldn't have been more than 18 or 20. Wet, hacking coughs racked his thin frame and blood poured through his fingers when he tried to cover his mouth. He could barely breathe. His heart was giving out. He was clearly in pain, from the sound of the metal restraints rattling along the side of the bed frame.

But there was no one there to comfort him. Despite being in the middle of visiting hours, the young patient was completely alone. Even the nurses tended to avoid the room. Of course... the restraints... this man was a prisoner, a very dangerous one if he was to be cuffed while on the brink of death.

They are also wrong surprisingly often, though very few of them would deign to listen to the nurses. Heaven forbid they actually learn what's on a patient's chart. Half of Vivian's time seems to be spent fixing problems created by carelessness and incompetence.

Will, at least, is more tolerable then most. And more tolerant. He's actually willing to listen to the nurses. He's willing to listen to the janitors, for pity's sake. But today, an irritable patient and an impatient doctor have put the nurse in a bad mood, and Willock is in the line of fire. The second she hands him his new patient's charts, her arms are crossed, her brows are furrowed, and her foot is tapping the floor like a woodpecker on methamphetamines.]

[Nike had had a "run in" with some people who ... well didn't really like her. She had been on the run for only a month or two, and it was a stupid mistake, a slip up. She got injured, knocked out. Athena had managed to get her out, but some "helpful" passer-by had gotten to her a hospital before she could come to.

And when she DID wake up the hospital had questions, a lot of them. She had feigned being more out of it than she was. And as soon as the doctors and nurses had left her alone, she was tearing out of the IVs, getting back into her old clothes--at least there wasn't too many stains or tears, letting Athena patch up the rest of her wounds (how the cat familiar managed to sneak into the hospital was a mystery Nike'd have to ask about later), and trying-- trying-- to sneak out.

Unfortunately, the doctors were making their rounds about the same time she made her great escape. Wonderful.

As soon as she heard the rushed foot steps of nurses and orderlies looking for the missing patients, the coded language over the speakers, she made a B-line for the nearest hospital room. Rushing in, closing the door behind her-- she considers casting a spell to lock it up tight but then realizes, whoops, the room isn't empty.

She gives something like a forced smile and wiggles her fingers.]
