winter is a lingering season
snowfall;
stage ii; very light and intermittent. stage iii; light - moderate. lasts longer periods. stage iv; continuous, heavy snowfall. stage v; the hardest of cores - blizzards, snowstorms, you name it. scenarios;
② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do? ③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all. ④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!! ⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket. ⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips. ⑦ mix and match, or make up your own ‧:❉:‧ - from krystaliske @ memebells |

Then, hesitating, he pulls up instagram on Emil's phone and finds his account.]
Even if neither of us use it that often, we can still follow each other on there. [He chuckles softly.] I thought I was the only one who wasn't obsessed with it. Viktor, Phichit, Chris, Guang-Hong, and Leo all seem to be addicted.

[Like the photos of Chris and Viktor hanging out at the pool. Those were pretty funny, even if that was more of the Swiss skater than he ever actually wanted to see. But that seemed to be a common thing with Chris.
He takes his phone back to confirm the add and return it, then pocket his phone again.]
Hey, sometimes it's good to kind of have a timeline of stuff that happens. For your own memory if nobody else's. So when we can't do this kind of stuff anymore there's a record to remember it all by.

Oh, I've never thought of it that way before. It'd sort of be like a photo album, except online, wouldn't it?
[The phone goes right back into his pocket now.]
I've never really liked sharing things so publicly, but I guess I can see the appeal of keeping the memories where you can find them easily again.

As he reaches over for the tray of steaming cups, he grins suddenly. Maybe it's because he's had the first snowball fight since he was a kid, but he's feeling a little playful.]
Hey, Emil. Let's take a picture together and post it. I bet it'll surprise Phichit and the others if they see me using my account for once.

Ok, hold on... [He doesn't even give Yuuri's face the chance to get stiff and uncomfortable with a forced smile before he's turned the lens on the two of them and snapped the photo. He takes an extra second to send it to Yuuri's phone so it could be posted directly to his account, given that not everyone that followed Yuuri also followed him, and vice versa.] Awesome, I can put mine up when we're somewhere warm.
no subject
Thanks. [Emil gets a smile for his efforts.] I'll wait until we've passed out the drinks. The kids won't be happy with us if we let their hot chocolate get cold.

He waits until Yuuri joins him again before resuming their walk.]
So, hey, have you ever been to the snow festival? I know it's more of a tourist thing than a real local event but it's still really cool.

Hmm? [The cup stops just in front of his lips as Yuuri turns his attention back to Emil.] No, I haven't gone before. I didn't really travel outside of Hasetsu much before I left for Detroit. Sometimes for competitions, but that's it.

That makes sense actually. I'm guessing you've always been kind of reluctant to go out of your way to do stuff like that right? Traveling and being in the middle of other people, I mean.

The big crowds are part of it. There wasn't really anyone to go with either. My family has an inn to run, Minako-sensei has her studio... and my friends Yuuko and Nighigori got married and had their daughters pretty early, too. [Sipping at at his drink, Yuuri pauses.] Maybe Phichit and I could have gone, but we were busy keeping up with our training and studies the whole time.
