The Purpose:
Sometimes there are a bunch of people out there who want to play in the same fandom as you, or with similar game ideas and you either don't know each other exist or you're too shy to approach each other. This is what this Meme is about! Look for like-minded people, try to find canon-mates, brainstorm PSL or new game ideas! You might even find that what you're looking for already exists.

What to do:

Wanted: Something Other than Jamjars

I don't want to sound negative, but I'm more clear on what I don't want in RP.

* Jamjars are a bit too chaotic and half of your RP seems to be introducing yourself over and over. Also, there seems to be a lot of RP to just to RP rather than to build a setting or story.

* I don't want "plots" that only ever involve random shit happening. Those are situations, and they can be fun, but I want a plot to be something with a story structure and to be something required on the part of the players/writer to resolve.

* I like smut, but it's part of a character's schema not the whole of it. Also, I want to get to know the person on the other side of the screen before I have to write something emotionally involved with them.

* While I have heard about the merits of activity checks numerous times, I have a demanding job and there are just some times during the year where it's much more harmful for my output than encouraging.

* I vastly prefer honest conflict resolution to "polite" passive-aggressive or avoidance tendencies.

What I'm Looking For:

* I role-play to develop a character, storylines, and, through them, change a fictional world. I want the characters' successes, failures, and mistakes to matter.

* Not just for myself either. I love reading what other people do and love coming up with stories to help characters other than mine develop.

* I strive to (to quote Quantum Leap) put right what once went wrong. Most of my roster has had their share of terrible writing or refrigerator deaths. I'm looking for people who want to help me give their characters a real life. We can do this through RP, fanfic, or some other format, but I like the group dynamic and am seeking that out.

What I Can Offer:

* I'm willing to run the story, the game, the NPCs, and whatever else anyone needs and I can occasionally hand off those duties to my writing partner or partners in order to keep from burning out.

* I have years of GMing experience and professional training in de-escalation. I can't solve every problem that comes up in a game, but I can give it a solid shot.

* I specialize in 'ships and characters with canon headaches.

* While I naturally default to a PG-13 rating, I can scale that up or down.

If you're looking for a game without activity checks that isn't a jamjar, Watchtower Might be something you'd be interested in. It's a game in the DC universe, exclusively for DC characters (so a lot of characters would already be aware of your character), you can take your characters from pre-52 if you like, and there are no activity checks.

Hi! I'm Jen. At the moment there are two characters I would really like to get into regular threading. The first is Kitty Pryde here. I am really intrigued by the premise of X-Men:Gold , one of the new X-Men comics launching in spring, and would like to start playing in that setting now. I have pulled my friend who plays Pete Wisdom into it. So it is canon to a point, but AU from there. I would love for Kitty to thread with her fellow X-Men, especially Rachel Grey, Kurt Wagner, Ororo Monroe, and Erik Lehnsherr.

For my second character, that's grailknight. He's a canon OC from the film Kingsman. I would love for him to thread with other people from Kingsman. I also play him as being married to James Spencer aka Agent Lancelot.

Oh man. Okay hello I'm Dem (jigglyballs) and my game needs are currently fulfilled, but I'm always open to some memeing or PSLs with certain characters. Right now I'm looking to expanding my horizons a little.

I play a bunch of dudes I'm gonna list below. I very rarely drop threads, though I can get slower when I have game stuff going on (not like abysmally slow, don't worry) and I'm likewise lenient on my thread partner's speed/availability (but please don't regularly give me oneliners once every two weeks).


Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
I main Squalo (sharktrash), and my favorite castmates to thread with are Xanxus (obviously), the rest of the Varia, Yamamoto, Dino, Bianchi and Gokudera. I'm a huge shipping trash (mostly for Xanxus, Dino and Yams but I can be convinced for others) but I also want gen scenarios and just about anything with all of these.

Also tbh I would be willing to play out like most of the shit that gets posted in anonymous rp with me/find a kink partner threads with a Xanxus, so if you're having no luck getting your dirty immoral kinks quota you know what to read and whom to pick up.
