The Purpose:
Sometimes there are a bunch of people out there who want to play in the same fandom as you, or with similar game ideas and you either don't know each other exist or you're too shy to approach each other. This is what this Meme is about! Look for like-minded people, try to find canon-mates, brainstorm PSL or new game ideas! You might even find that what you're looking for already exists.

What to do:

You're welcome to hit me up if you see a meme you like or see Soleil in it already. I wouldn't mind doing things outside of memes, as well. I'm particularly interested in playing out that date Kaname promised her so that Soleil can show her that girls can like girls. It can be purely PG antics or get to something intimate. I'm interested in either/both.

And since it started out as a dare, the make me/prove it scenario, or the bets/challenges gone wrong could both be worked in, as well as a friendly rivalry. I also don't mind them bumping heads or the antics not going 100% smoothly considering they're both pretty stubborn and it'll probably be easy for Soleil to do/say something that rubs Kaname the wrong way.

I don't want to sound negative, but I'm more clear on what I don't want in RP.

* Jamjars are a bit too chaotic and half of your RP seems to be introducing yourself over and over. Also, there seems to be a lot of RP to just to RP rather than to build a setting or story.

* I don't want "plots" that only ever involve random shit happening. Those are situations, and they can be fun, but I want a plot to be something with a story structure and to be something required on the part of the players/writer to resolve.

* I like smut, but it's part of a character's schema not the whole of it. Also, I want to get to know the person on the other side of the screen before I have to write something emotionally involved with them.

* While I have heard about the merits of activity checks numerous times, I have a demanding job and there are just some times during the year where it's much more harmful for my output than encouraging.

* I vastly prefer honest conflict resolution to "polite" passive-aggressive or avoidance tendencies.

What I'm Looking For:

* I role-play to develop a character, storylines, and, through them, change a fictional world. I want the characters' successes, failures, and mistakes to matter.

* Not just for myself either. I love reading what other people do and love coming up with stories to help characters other than mine develop.

* I strive to (to quote Quantum Leap) put right what once went wrong. Most of my roster has had their share of terrible writing or refrigerator deaths. I'm looking for people who want to help me give their characters a real life. We can do this through RP, fanfic, or some other format, but I like the group dynamic and am seeking that out.

What I Can Offer:

* I'm willing to run the story, the game, the NPCs, and whatever else anyone needs and I can occasionally hand off those duties to my writing partner or partners in order to keep from burning out.

* I have years of GMing experience and professional training in de-escalation. I can't solve every problem that comes up in a game, but I can give it a solid shot.

* I specialize in 'ships and characters with canon headaches.

* While I naturally default to a PG-13 rating, I can scale that up or down.

If you're looking for a game without activity checks that isn't a jamjar, Watchtower Might be something you'd be interested in. It's a game in the DC universe, exclusively for DC characters (so a lot of characters would already be aware of your character), you can take your characters from pre-52 if you like, and there are no activity checks.

Cooper and Val are in some nebulous setting where he teaches her how to fully utilize a jumpkit, she meets BT and calls him a giant weeaboo, and she teaches Coop how to actually fight. He gives her lip and whines a lot, but he's the greatest friend to have in a barfight because he has no qualms shooting people in the back.

Buck and Val finally go on that hunting competition they've been arguing about, and he spends most of the time commenting in French that its not about the prize, but the stalk. They end up stumbling across a cabin full of Nova Scotian independence terrorists and having to take them out while trying not to destroy the cabin too much because they want to keep it as a vacation home afterwards

Kirk and Val get into a drinking competition, and they wake up in a random city two days later after losing Bones and Blackbeard. They have three days to get the wolfpack back together before they have to report back to base.

The rest of my characters are silent protagonists so I don't know how that'd work but Val would also be great with my Division asshole whose BAC would make even SEALs cry
