SNOWED IN

The Snowed In Meme
You were just having a normal day out when an angelical snow shower hits you... hard. And now you're trapped with someone else until it passes by. Are you at a cafe? A bookstore? School? In the middle of crime-fighting? Location, duration and snow intensity are all up to you!

Malcolm smiled. "You are about to learn something else. Malcolm actually isn't my real name. I changed it when I was younger. Too many jokes and I got tired of them."

"No not necessarily. I've been going by Malcolm since I was nineteen. It was a choice of mine," he replies watching her, This was a deep sign of trust on his part as not even his daughter knows this. "And really all you are going to find if you look me up is my military record and my parents names."

"No it's not," Malcolm replied, "but lately I feel like I've been forgetting who I used to be. Arthur King feels like clothes that both fit and don't.." He stares at the ceiling for a long moment. "That's my real name by the way Arthur King, feel free to make all the sword jokes you want."

Malcolm chuckled. "I know what you mean. Until someone reminded me I'd forgotten that I even used to be Arthur or that he was once his own person."

Malcolm goes silent for a long moment and when he speaks again his voice is soft and thoughtful. "What if you had the chance to rewrite your life...fix your major mistakes. Would you do it?"

Malcolm nodded. "I know I did things in my grief and anger that hurt people....hurt strangers and loved ones. I'd give anything to have Tommy back or to have watched my daughter grow up. And Rebecca......" And now he had that chance, Thawne was handing it to him without question all for Malcolm's ability to out think people. It seemed like a trap, but Thawne had known things about Malcolm that he'd never shared with anyone.
"My only regret would be losing the friendships and understanding I gained after my loss."

Malcolm ducks his head to hid a moment of emotion. He's sure Tommy would have brought respect back to the name Malcolm had chosen and he mourns that he took away from his son. He looks back at her. "I hope he does get that chance Tommy didn't. At least I can say my son died a hero."

He looks at her and smiles sadly. "I have the feeling that you might be happy sooner than you'd think. And for the record happiness matters. It doesn't matter how you get it, just that you do."
