THE RANDOM SCENARIO MEME 3.0

- Post your character, name, and series in the subject. Include any preferences as well.
- Go to RNG and enter 1-6 for a scene type, and 1-20 for a scene to play out.

TYPE OF SCENE.
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!

ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.
③ Chase → You're caught in a high speed chase.
④ Gun fight → You're caught in a big shoot-out.
⑤ Fight with a friend → You're fighting with a friend, all out.
⑥ Interrogation → You're being interrogated for some offense you've done.
⑦ Aliens → Aliens are attacking and you're not going to take your probe laying down!
⑧ Final battle → This is it. The battle that will end all the fighting for you. Will you win? Will you get that peace you want?
⑨ Training → You're not actually fighting, just training for the inevitable.
⑩ No hope → You know this fight has no hope. It's not going to end well for anyone involved, but you can't turn away.

⑬ Fight for honor → You've been disgraced or someone you care about has, so it's time to fight for honour.
⑭ Showdown → Time for a cowboy-style showdown. Whoever draws the fastest wins.
⑮ War → You're caught in the middle of a war here. Remember to keep your chin up and keeping fighting.
⑯ Apocalypse → The apocalypse finally happened and now you're left to scavenge and fight for whatever is left.
⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.

ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.
⑨ Fight → You can't even be in the same room as your friend or lover without arguing anymore.
⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.

CRACK.
① Sexswap → Uh-oh, you're suddenly the opposite sex!
② Forced confessions → No matter what it is and no matter how hard you resist, you're going to be compelled to spill some deep dark secret!
③ Mind-reading → You've suddenly got the ability to read minds!

You're learning Korean?

[It's possibly silly how good her calling him an endearment feels. Like a burst of happiness going off inside his chest and he inhales and the goofy grin spreads wide across his face. He pulls her closer against his side for a moment to press another kiss, this one to her temple.]

I like cheesy.

Hm. [A moment later and then, slowly and with an accent but surprisingly clearly, he says, in Korean:]

Speak slowly, please. I'm still learning Korean.[A pause and then a flashing grin.] Where is the library? ah! and - [and he proceed to rattle off three curse words very distinctly, that she might recognize from earlier this evening when she'd first stumbled into the room he was kneeling in.]

[ The look that appears across her face when she hears him speaking in her native tongue is--

one of pure delight and Shiro's not the only one wearing a wide, goofy grin.

He's been learning Korean. And she's assuming that it's expressly because of her and maybe not that he'd been learning it before-- that's not too cocky to think, is it? When has she ever cared about being cocky about something, anyway?

She nods along as he speaks, honestly quite impressed with how clearly he's managing to pronounce the words even though there's a slight accent and her smile turns fond at the library question because-- he would learn that. She's about to respond in kind with a "You're pretty good!" in Korean but when he drops the same expletives she had earlier-- she just laughs. A free, hearty, no-holds-barred laugh. And she brings her other arm up to wrap around him and hug him tightly as she does. ]

Hey, where'd you learn those words, potty mouth! [ As if she hadn't been the one to say them earlier. And then: ] Saranghae, Shiro.

[He's learning Korean because of her. He's learning Korean for her. Slowly. Very slowly thanks to the way the rest of his life usually goes but he's determined.

And to watch that look spread across her face its worth it. More than worth it.

Her laughter might as well be the stars coming out in the sky.

And when she hugs him, he wraps his own arms around her and lifts her lightly off her feet, leaning in to press his face to her hair before pulling back with a grin and setting her on her feet again. Her words steal his heart away and his face softens then and he reaches up to stroke his fingers along her cheek.]

I think I know that means. I love you too, Hana Song.

[ A little yelp escapes when he lifts her, causing her grip on him to tighten, but soon enough the surprise gives way to more laughter. Tonight really has been just awesome-- soon it'll come to an end and they'll say their goodbyes, but--

Not yet.

When he sets her back down, she pulls her arms away if only so she can rest her hands against his chest, her fingers tracing along the fabric of the collar of his attire just as his trace her cheek. She feels like the biggest winner right now. How on earth did this happen between a professional gamer turned military mech pilot-slash-superhero and an ace pilot turned space mech pilot-slash-leader of a galactic rebellion? Regardless of the answer, Hana is so filled with a fierce sort of happiness that's determined to persist for as long as it can. Through the night. Through to the morning when they part ways. To the point that she can't help her confident but affectionate response: ]

I know.

What's the game plan now, Takashi Shirogane? Because there's no way I'm going home now.

[He inhales deep when her fingers smooth over his chest and his hand lifts to stroke over her hair. Her touch has him wanting to go in for another kiss. This moment has him wanting to go in for another kiss. And another and another. He can't get enough of her, any of her, but the fact that she loves him -

it turns everything up the dial.

He smiles at her 'I know' though. He's be worried if she didn't already know. He doesn't say the words often but he does his best to show them. Cradling the back of her head in his palm, he admits:]

I'd keep you all to myself all night if I could but I feel like I should let my family have some time with you too. They did all this after all. So I guess we go home now and maybe there's cake if we can find room for it and then we'll spend some time with them. For a little while until I get sneak you off at least. [He has to leave in the morning, crack of dawn, but... he doesn't need sleep before then. Not like he needs her.]

[ She didn't know at first, surely, and for the longest time, but-- once she became aware of her own feelings she became very, very aware of Shiro's. Or at the very least, she hopes he isn't quite as cheesy with other people as the way that he is with her.

But-- his answer isn't quite what she wants to hear. Because she wishes he would keep her to himself all night. Shiro's parents and grandmother aren't going anywhere, as far as she's concerned. She'll make time to visit them now and then whenever she's sent to Hanamura for work. But Shiro--

Shiro is leaving to space in some hours and now she's seen firsthand the kinds of battles he fights out there in the Black Lion and in Voltron and even on his own two feet. The young, bright and optimistic person in her believes that he'll do well. He'll be alright. But the soldier in her knows that sometimes things don't go the way you'd like them to despite your best efforts.

But she can't bring herself to voice her thoughts, because she also knows that Shiro's family means a lot to him and spending time with them is just as much for him as he says it is for her.

Luckily Hana's pretty good at not sleeping because she's not planning on getting any this evening.

While her lips had drawn into a thin line, she now manages a small smile for him and her hands trail up to his shoulders. ]

I always have room for cake! But promise me we'll sneak away before your grandmother starts talking about the good old days, okay? [ she'll thrown in a wink there, too. ]

[Shiro is always cheesy. Just not romantically so. Not for anyone but Hana at least.

And her face is expressive enough that he can watch the thoughts flit over it and - he really would like to just drag her off into an empty doorway and do nothing but spend the rest of the night making out with her - she loves him - but he was also raised with manners. Raised very strongly with manners. And if his family went through all this trouble to give them an evening together full of cherry blossoms, its not right to ignore them. Even if they would understand, even if she's right here in his arms and more than willing.

And he loves her for understanding that despite what she obviously wants. What he obviously wants. So he cradles her face in his hands and his smile is soft and private and just for her.]

I'll see if I can get her going on those early just so we've got an excuse to sneak away. Okay?

[And then he leans down to kiss her again, long and slow and sweet. Because - they can steal at least one more before they go home.]

[ She's smirking about their secret plot to sneak away as he's leaning down and she says a quiet, ] Heh. Okay. [ before she closes her eyes and kisses him back, soundly, sweetly. She's more than okay with this compromise.

She wonders briefly if they're going to get sick of kissing each other tonight, but she seriously doubts it. Kissing Shiro fills her with such a warm, safe feeling that makes her feel like she can keep on going. Not that she felt she couldn't before-- she plays to win, but now she feels like she has one very important reason to do just that.

Hana is the first to pull away, and if she catches his lower lip very lightly between her teeth for a second as she pulls away, it's no accident. It's a tease. Encouragement for later. And after that, she smiles up at him with fire in her eyes. ]

Let's not keep them waiting, hm?

[For himself, Shiro can't imagine ever getting tired of Hana's kisses. Not even when they're old and grey and he likes to pretend he believes they've grown old together. She's had him hooked from the very first meeting and each time he gets to be with her again she only addicts him more to her.

There's a sound at the drag of her teeth, something that's somewhere between a rumble and a groan.

Addictive and dangerous. The look he gives her reflects it. His arms tighten around her for a moment and then they relax and he shifts so he can keep one around her as they walk home. Just as they reach the gate and he pushes it open, he mentions:]

You know they gave you that lip gloss so they could make sure I was kissing you enough.

[And then he's blinking - because both his parents and his grandmother are standing at the front door dressed to go out. His father gives him a 'what can you do?' look and his mother is smiling that smile of hers that says she's going to dance to herself once she's in private. His grandmother is just looking serene, which is the biggest warning sign of all as she patters down the stairs to kiss Hana and then him on the cheeks, which is surprisingly familiar affection from her. Why is obvious the second she opens her mouth.]

So sorry, dears. We've all got to go out for a few hours. A friend of the family needs a visit. It's rude to leave you without entertainment, Hana-chan, and on your birthday celebration. I hope you can forgive us and come back to visit us soon. I'm sure Takashi can keep you company while we're gone though. That's not too much of a bother is it?

[She's not asking him of course. As the only family member left, of course he's expected to entertain the 'guest'. But - he turns his head aside to very quietly cover his laughter with some short coughs.]

[ Hana is on the verge of saying something cheeky and suggestive in response to his lip gloss comment, and in fact she's in the middle of reapplying as they step through the gate--

but it's probably better that doesn't get around to saying what she had wanted to since they're greeted almost immediately by Shiro's parents. That would've been awkward. She stands there with her newly-glossed lips slightly parted in clear confusion, unsure what to make of the looks on his mother and father's faces, but when grandmother comes down and starts acting like they're off to somewhere in the middle of the night--

Crafty woman.

Still, Hana can't help but smile, although she has to bite down on her lip to keep herself from breaking into a laugh. It becomes all the more difficult when she casts Shiro a sidelong glance and finds him trying to keep it together, too. She has to then resort to lifting her arm, hiding her grinning behind the long sleeves of the yukata so she can attempt to respond.

The look on all of their faces, though-- they all know what's going on here. ]

I think I can forgive you, grandmother. I promise. But I'll be mad if I get bored with Takashi.

[ Which, you know, she won't, and the knowing glance she gives him says exactly that. She'd wink if his family wasn't right in front of them. ]

Say hello to your friend for me! [ is there even a friend for real, who knows! ]

Takashi's a good boy. I'm sure he'll find ways to keep you from getting bored.

[The way his grandmother delivers the line makes it sound as if she's commenting on his ability to mix tea and somehow - somehow - keeps it from sounding like the slightest innuendo. Which, for his grandmother, is another form of innuendo all together. She give his arm a pat and then turns back to Hana with a smile and, for the first time, Shiro wonders if putting the two of them together might have been dangerous. The smile Hana gets if beatific.]

We won't be back for several hours at least. My friend lives quite a way away. [Hana's cheek gets a gentle pat and then she's moving past, already on her way, and Shiro's mother and father murmur their own greetings and apologies to Hana as well. Shiro also gets a:]

On the table right next to the door [and a shrug from his father. And, from the street, grandmother's voice comes back cheerfully as the gate closes behind them.]

Happy birthday, Hana-chan!

[ Dutifully, Hana waves goodbye at the other Shiroganes as they depart, and for the tail end of it she lowers her other hand to give them a more genuine goodbye smile.

And then she only manages to wait maybe five or six seconds after the gate shuts before she just--

Laughs. Another one to add to tonight's collection. ]

I can't believe they did that! They planned this all along!

[Shiro is honestly - not exactly sure how he's supposed to react. His family has never done anything like this to him before. Granted, he's never brought anyone home for them to do this to him for before but still -

it's a little disconcerting.

And then Hana's laughing and it brings the answering sound out of his own chest, something exasperated and amused and surrendering as he wraps her up in both of his arms and tucks his head down into her shoulder.]

wow. [It comes out low and he shakes his head against her.] I think my own grandmother just set me up, Hana.

[ Her own arms rise to wrap around him in return, something like a consolatory gesture. Because yes, Shiro, your own grandmother just set you up. She huffs another laugh, and a hand reaches to give him a comforting pat on his head. ]

Yup. Your grandmother trolled us pretty hard!

[ And she can't help but sound a little mischievous when she follows with, ] So, are you going to make sure I don't get bored?

[Shiro's not going to say that his own grandmother set him up for a booty call...

but his father had better not have been referring to condoms when he said there was something 'on the table by the door'.

Either way he's not standing out in the yard when, for all he knows, his family is still listening at the gate. Because - 'a friend far away'? Maybe they should have at least pretended and taken the car.]

My family's honor is riding on making sure you don't apparently.

[Chuckling, he raises his head, and leans down to scoop her up in his arms so he can carry her inside. If he's going to do this, he's going to do it right after all.

He does stop inside to slip out of his shoes once he's indoors and lean sideways without setting her down so she can kick out of her own. Then he turns so she can reach the light switch because apparently 'going out to visit a friend' means shutting off the lights on the way out.]

Get the light switch for us?

[ Someday Hana won't be surprised whenever Shiro decides he's going to just pick her up and carry her, but today is not that day. So she gives another surprised little sound when he does, but almost reflexively her arms go around him to cling on like she usually does.

As they enter, Hana tries to look and see what might be on the table Shiro's father mentioned, but she doesn't get much of a chance to before Shiro shifts them. She does her own part in kicking off the sandals that grandmother had lent her not so carelessly, but there's only so much she can do in her current position. One of them falls onto its side. Oh well.

Then it's the lights. She pulls an arm away to do as she's requested, her slender fingers reaching to flick the switch, and--

Nothing happens.

She flicks it back down. Then back up. And then repeats that one more time before she looks back up at Shiro, confused. ]

... Do you think they... ?

[ Because if so, they really brought their A-game tonight. At this point Hana would actually have to feel embarrassed about how blatantly this was set up for something very specific. ]

[If she'll keep making those little sounds for him, he hopes he'll be able to surprise her for the rest of his life. He does try to concentrate though, holding still once they're inside so she can turn the lights back on.

By the second attempt he's shut his eyes and the inhale he drags in through his nose is long and deep at Hana's question.

An exhale through his lips and he sets her on her feet, one arm still around her and shifts to spread a careful hand over the table by the door. [ Hana shakes her head and sighs, although any exasperation conveyed by that is betrayed by the sound of her voice which is amused, really. ]

[ Then, carefully, she extracts her phone from her bag and brings up its flashlight function so they can at least see a little better in the darkness of the house. Her other hand reaches for the collar of her own yukata and absentmindedly pulls it a little loose. It's going to get hot in here with this on. ]

Candles... how old school. Did they at least give us a lighter or something to go with those?

They're really pushing it.

[He agrees it as he picks up the candles and feels for more. Hana's phone helps and he scoops up the box of matches next to the candles.]

You know we're old school. [He hands her the candle but doesn't open the match box. Looks at her in the glow from her phone and comments dryly.]

I do know where the breaker box is. We don't have to use candles.

[ The candle is regarded for a moment as she looks at it thoughtfully.

Hana likes old school. For all of her high tech shenanigans, she also enjoys picking up a retro console and playing old games and watching old movies and shows and listening to old tunes and using a polaroid camera.

It probably explains a little bit of why she fit right into the Shirogane family.

When she looks back up at him, the devious look on her face is dimly lit by her phone, but recognizably so. ]

Well, what if I said I want to use candles? And that I want to be stuck in the dark with you?

[He recognizes the look on her face and it brings out the smile of his own. Practiced, he opens the box of matches and strikes one to light the candle, holding it steady for her until she puts her phone away before giving it over to her completely. He doesn't light one for himself but he does keep the box of matches. If he's right there will be candles enough wherever they end up going. His family didn't go through this much trouble to slack off there. His arm slips around her waist a bit more and he starts them for the main room.]

Then I think we'd better be careful we don't get distracted and set anything on fire.

[ The phone is put away swiftly; Hana had taken lots of photos tonight of the cherry blossom and the food they ate and selfies of the two of them but now there's no room for distraction. Now there's just her, Shiro, the moonlight, this candle, and an empty house all to themselves.

She holds the candle carefully with one hand as he guides them across the room; the other hand she brings up to rest on the hand of Shiro's on her waist and touch so, so lightly before she presses against his hand more firmly.

[He's never had any doubt on Hana's cleverness - or her deviousness. There's no question that he admires both, even if he suspects both are equally capable of getting him into trouble.

He's not complaining.

Somehow he's not surprised when they walk into the living room to see a cake on the kotatsu, candles already lit, and the cushions piled up in one spot on the floor in front of it. The noise he makes is part embarrassed exasperation, part laughter. Heading over he sits down first and then holds up a hand for the candle before making room for her in his lap.]

I guess we're getting your cake after all.

[ A gasp escapes from her lips when she sees the spread on the table. And not for the first time tonight, Hana just feels completely floored, flattered, moved at how much the Shirogane family has done for her. ]

This is too much... You guys are too nice.

[ Which isn't to say she'll be denying the cake. Because, cake. So in spite of her words she gladly hands Shiro the candle and settles into his lap in front of the cake, and-- ] One sec. [ She can't help it, but she takes her phone back out if only to snap a quick picture of the cake lit before she'll be blowing the candles out. But once that's done, she tosses Shiro a look over her shoulder. ]
