THE RANDOM SCENARIO MEME 3.0

- Post your character, name, and series in the subject. Include any preferences as well.
- Go to RNG and enter 1-6 for a scene type, and 1-20 for a scene to play out.

TYPE OF SCENE.
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!

ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.
③ Chase → You're caught in a high speed chase.
④ Gun fight → You're caught in a big shoot-out.
⑤ Fight with a friend → You're fighting with a friend, all out.
⑥ Interrogation → You're being interrogated for some offense you've done.
⑦ Aliens → Aliens are attacking and you're not going to take your probe laying down!
⑧ Final battle → This is it. The battle that will end all the fighting for you. Will you win? Will you get that peace you want?
⑨ Training → You're not actually fighting, just training for the inevitable.
⑩ No hope → You know this fight has no hope. It's not going to end well for anyone involved, but you can't turn away.
⑪ Sneaking in → You're stealing a diamond or sneaking in to kick some bad guy butt, but whatever it is, you have to practice stealth.
⑫ Blue wire → You're faced with a bomb that needs to be disarmed.
⑬ Fight for honor → You've been disgraced or someone you care about has, so it's time to fight for honour.
⑭ Showdown → Time for a cowboy-style showdown. Whoever draws the fastest wins.
⑮ War → You're caught in the middle of a war here. Remember to keep your chin up and keeping fighting.
⑯ Apocalypse → The apocalypse finally happened and now you're left to scavenge and fight for whatever is left.
⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.

ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.
⑨ Fight → You can't even be in the same room as your friend or lover without arguing anymore.
⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.

CRACK.
① Sexswap → Uh-oh, you're suddenly the opposite sex!
② Forced confessions → No matter what it is and no matter how hard you resist, you're going to be compelled to spill some deep dark secret!
③ Mind-reading → You've suddenly got the ability to read minds!
④ Animal → You're suddenly part animal or transformed into an animal!
⑤ Awkward pick-up lines → You're compelled to use bad pickup lines on whoever is closest!

④ Costume party → You're at a costume party, both of you are wearing masks. Do you keep the anonymity or take it off and see whose company you've been enjoying?
⑤ Wrong number → Oops, actually you didn't mean to call that person...
⑥ Drunk → You're already drunk! Drunk dialing, stumbling into someone, showing up unexpected... what type of drunk are you anyway? Aggressive, loving, happy? How does the other react?

[Shiro is honestly - not exactly sure how he's supposed to react. His family has never done anything like this to him before. Granted, he's never brought anyone home for them to do this to him for before but still -

it's a little disconcerting.

And then Hana's laughing and it brings the answering sound out of his own chest, something exasperated and amused and surrendering as he wraps her up in both of his arms and tucks his head down into her shoulder.]

wow. [It comes out low and he shakes his head against her.] I think my own grandmother just set me up, Hana.

[ Her own arms rise to wrap around him in return, something like a consolatory gesture. Because yes, Shiro, your own grandmother just set you up. She huffs another laugh, and a hand reaches to give him a comforting pat on his head. ]

Yup. Your grandmother trolled us pretty hard!

[ And she can't help but sound a little mischievous when she follows with, ] So, are you going to make sure I don't get bored?

[Shiro's not going to say that his own grandmother set him up for a booty call...

but his father had better not have been referring to condoms when he said there was something 'on the table by the door'.

Either way he's not standing out in the yard when, for all he knows, his family is still listening at the gate. Because - 'a friend far away'? Maybe they should have at least pretended and taken the car.]

My family's honor is riding on making sure you don't apparently.

[Chuckling, he raises his head, and leans down to scoop her up in his arms so he can carry her inside. If he's going to do this, he's going to do it right after all.

He does stop inside to slip out of his shoes once he's indoors and lean sideways without setting her down so she can kick out of her own. Then he turns so she can reach the light switch because apparently 'going out to visit a friend' means shutting off the lights on the way out.]

Get the light switch for us?

[ Someday Hana won't be surprised whenever Shiro decides he's going to just pick her up and carry her, but today is not that day. So she gives another surprised little sound when he does, but almost reflexively her arms go around him to cling on like she usually does.

As they enter, Hana tries to look and see what might be on the table Shiro's father mentioned, but she doesn't get much of a chance to before Shiro shifts them. She does her own part in kicking off the sandals that grandmother had lent her not so carelessly, but there's only so much she can do in her current position. One of them falls onto its side. Oh well.

Then it's the lights. She pulls an arm away to do as she's requested, her slender fingers reaching to flick the switch, and--

Nothing happens.

She flicks it back down. Then back up. And then repeats that one more time before she looks back up at Shiro, confused. ]

... Do you think they... ?

[ Because if so, they really brought their A-game tonight. At this point Hana would actually have to feel embarrassed about how blatantly this was set up for something very specific. ]

[If she'll keep making those little sounds for him, he hopes he'll be able to surprise her for the rest of his life. He does try to concentrate though, holding still once they're inside so she can turn the lights back on.

By the second attempt he's shut his eyes and the inhale he drags in through his nose is long and deep at Hana's question.

He loves his family. He loves his family. He loves his family. No matter how much they're pushing. An exhale through his lips and he sets her on her feet, one arm still around her and shifts to spread a careful hand over the table by the door. Hoping for flashlights but flashlights aren't romantic and sure enough - his voice is dry.]

Candles. So, yes. Yes, my family really did.

[ Hana shakes her head and sighs, although any exasperation conveyed by that is betrayed by the sound of her voice which is amused, really. ]

They're really pushing it, huh?

[ Then, carefully, she extracts her phone from her bag and brings up its flashlight function so they can at least see a little better in the darkness of the house. Her other hand reaches for the collar of her own yukata and absentmindedly pulls it a little loose. It's going to get hot in here with this on. ]

Candles... how old school. Did they at least give us a lighter or something to go with those?

They're really pushing it.

[He agrees it as he picks up the candles and feels for more. Hana's phone helps and he scoops up the box of matches next to the candles.]

You know we're old school. [He hands her the candle but doesn't open the match box. Looks at her in the glow from her phone and comments dryly.]

I do know where the breaker box is. We don't have to use candles.

[ The candle is regarded for a moment as she looks at it thoughtfully.

Hana likes old school. For all of her high tech shenanigans, she also enjoys picking up a retro console and playing old games and watching old movies and shows and listening to old tunes and using a polaroid camera.

It probably explains a little bit of why she fit right into the Shirogane family.

When she looks back up at him, the devious look on her face is dimly lit by her phone, but recognizably so. ]

Well, what if I said I want to use candles? And that I want to be stuck in the dark with you?

[He recognizes the look on her face and it brings out the smile of his own. Practiced, he opens the box of matches and strikes one to light the candle, holding it steady for her until she puts her phone away before giving it over to her completely. He doesn't light one for himself but he does keep the box of matches. If he's right there will be candles enough wherever they end up going. His family didn't go through this much trouble to slack off there. His arm slips around her waist a bit more and he starts them for the main room.]

Then I think we'd better be careful we don't get distracted and set anything on fire.

[ The phone is put away swiftly; Hana had taken lots of photos tonight of the cherry blossom and the food they ate and selfies of the two of them but now there's no room for distraction. Now there's just her, Shiro, the moonlight, this candle, and an empty house all to themselves.

She holds the candle carefully with one hand as he guides them across the room; the other hand she brings up to rest on the hand of Shiro's on her waist and touch so, so lightly before she presses against his hand more firmly.

Now there's just her, Shiro, the moonlight, this candle, and an empty house all to themselves and she's pretty sure she's not going to behave. ]

We can always blow the candle out if we get too distracted, you know.

Just one of the reasons you're so perfect.

[He's never had any doubt on Hana's cleverness - or her deviousness. There's no question that he admires both, even if he suspects both are equally capable of getting him into trouble.

He's not complaining.

Somehow he's not surprised when they walk into the living room to see a cake on the kotatsu, candles already lit, and the cushions piled up in one spot on the floor in front of it. The noise he makes is part embarrassed exasperation, part laughter. Heading over he sits down first and then holds up a hand for the candle before making room for her in his lap.]

I guess we're getting your cake after all.

[ A gasp escapes from her lips when she sees the spread on the table. And not for the first time tonight, Hana just feels completely floored, flattered, moved at how much the Shirogane family has done for her. ]

This is too much... You guys are too nice.

[ Which isn't to say she'll be denying the cake. Because, cake. So in spite of her words she gladly hands Shiro the candle and settles into his lap in front of the cake, and-- ] One sec. [ She can't help it, but she takes her phone back out if only to snap a quick picture of the cake lit before she'll be blowing the candles out. But once that's done, she tosses Shiro a look over her shoulder. ]

Are you going to sing me a happy birthday?

[There's a holder for the candle on the table, because of course there is, and Shiro sets the candle in it and sets it to the side a little where it can still cast light without getting in the way. The box of matches goes next to it.

He is so touched that his family is spoiling Hana so much. He's always felt a deep, strong sense of love for his family and he has always known completely his place in it and their love and favor for him. Seeing them stretch out and give the same to Hana... it really is possible that he has the best family in the world. So his arms slip loosely around her waist while she takes her picture and blows out her candles and - he's quietly grateful for them and the fact he's been allowed to live as their son.

Her question though has him coughing a laugh that moves his chest against her back and he shakes his head, reaching for a fork to hand it to her. There are cake plates to the side but - it's her birthday. Who needs plates?]

I thought we were trying to make your birthday a happy one? My singing is not going to help with that.

[ Hana would agree, that Shiro has the best family in the world. And that they've always treated her like she was a part of it from the moment she first walked through the gate after introducing herself as Shiro's friend ("He asked me to make sure you guys were okay while he was away. And I brought snacks!") has meant so, so much to her. Because Overwatch feels like a family, it really does, but Shiro's feels like a home.

Hana won't cry even if she wants to. Even if it feels like her heart is about to burst, filled with feelings from this family's sweet thoughtfulness and just, Shiro.

His response makes her laugh along, and not for the first time tonight she revels in the feeling of how perfectly she fits in the shelter of Shiro's body. ]

Aw, come on! I bet you're secretly amazing at singing. Just one line? Pretty please?

[ Turning her body a bit more so he can see more of her face now, she unleashes a Puppy Dog Pout™. ]

The only secret to my singing is that its amazing my parents ever let me do it in their hearing.

[Which isn't exactly true because his parents think he walks on the moon and that covers his singing too but - that's what family does.

He doesn't have it in him to deny Hana anything though and the devastating pout she unleashes on him is just overkill really. He makes a sound in his throat at it, surrendering. And then clears his throat. Not that its really going to help.

And he sings Happy Birthday to her in the candlelight with her in his arms and the house quiet and peaceful around them. He has no training and it shows, slightly off tone on some of the notes. But he sings it all the way through for her and then leans down at the end for a kiss before murmuring:]

Happy birthday, sweetheart. Don't ask me to sing again until next year.

[ The smile on her lips gets wider and wider until it's become a goofy little grin as he sings. Sure, he may not have the vocal chords of a K-Pop boy band member, but Shiro is still far and beyond cuter than any of those guys. And she's met a few of them by now.

And so she receives his kiss gladly, making a satisfied hum when he pulls away and she just winks at him in response before turning to face forward once more. ]

Ah, I should make a wish!

[ Leaning down toward the cake, she taps the fork Shiro handed her on her lips in thought.

Right now Hana feels like she already has everything she could wish for-- except for more time with Shiro. But she doesn't wish for that, even though she realy wants to. Because it's futile and irresponsible.

So instead she wishes him safe travels and adventures and battles in space.

She takes care of all of the candles in one fell swoop, because otherwise the wish might not come true. And then in true Hana fashion, even with a fork in her hand, she uses her finger to swipe some icing off of the top of the cake first and licks it off. ]

[She's not leaving him so he figures his singing must have been enough - though he suspects she's probably as prejudiced as his parents when it comes to him.

He doesn't mind.

Especially not when she looks so overflowing with happiness and so completely beautiful in the candlelight. He rests his chin on top of her head while she thinks about her wish and he wishes safety and happiness for her in the year ahead, lifting his head when she leans forward to blow out her candles and making a laughing, humming sound of pleasure when they all go out. And the amusement leaks out in the hum again as she swipes frosting.]

Going to share? [He asks resting his chin on her shoulder.]

Nope.

[ Her answer is so immediate that it's hard to tell whether she's serious or not. Except that she laughs after a second. ]

Just kidding! Here.

[ ...this is almost certainly a bad idea, but-- what the hell.

With a little smirk, Hana pulls more frosting off of the cake. And then holds her fingers up to Shiro's lips. ]

[His quiet chuckle says just how much he believes her denial but he doesn't make any move to help himself. Instead she gets a kiss to her cheek when she teases and -

and a low sound in his throat when she offers her icing coated finger.

It's a bad idea. He's getting tired of resisting bad ideas.

So he leans forward and takes her finger in his mouth, dragging his tongue slow over the underside of it before slowly pulling back with a low rumbling hum.]

Very nice.

[ She can't help the way her lips part when she feels his tongue on her skin, breath escaping from her lungs. She also can't help the way she wonders what more of that would feel like.

And she especially can't help the way she just looks intently at him for a moment afterwards, before she gives him a kiss against his temple. And then another, by his eye, another on the scar across his nose, and then finally another on his cheek to return the one he had given her earlier. ]

It's good, isn't it?

It's good.

[His voice is a little throaty when he agrees it but her kisses have helped soothe him, just a little and he offers a soft smile, pulling her back and into him a little closer in a hug.

He loves her. She loves him. And he has her all to himself for as long as he likes tonight. They could do anything. He wants to. But... he doesn't want to rush either. Not with Hana. Not with someone so incredibly important to him. He wants her. God. He wants her. He's wanted her for the longest time, fantasized about her for the longest time and each moment with her has only given him more to want. But he's so scared. He's scared that he'll do something wrong and break what's between them. He doesn't think he could lose her. He doesn't think what's between them is fragile. But it is precious. So impossibly precious and he wants to never damage any part of it, never cause it harm, never ever give her any reason to hesitate or question. Of course he won't regret it if he sleeps with her tonight, takes her into his room, into his bed and unwinds the yukata she's wearing so that he can feel and touch her soft skin. But he still finds himself hesitating. Resisting the urge to push for that. Resisting taking advantage of the moment and the situation despite the fact he's pretty sure she wouldn't mind. It's confusing and more important than he feels like almost anything he's ever done before, making sure he moves at just the right pace with her and gives her everything in every moment they have together. His lips brush her jaw gently.]

Am I going to need my own fork for this or are you going to share?

[ Hana doesn't give much thought to hesitation. Each moment spent hesitating could very well be spent just going for it-- generally speaking. It's ruthless at times for her to be that way, and other times it's naive or too headstrong. But it's worked for nineteen, almost twenty years of her life.

But that isn't to say she won't recognize it when someone else is hesitant. Because-- she's not entirely sure, but a part of her thinks that if Shiro was going to take advantage of the situation they wouldn't still be sitting here. They would be up in his room with their lips locked and bodies pressed together.

Maybe he just... doesn't want to? She doesn't know how much pressure he's putting on himself to make sure he doesn't mess anything up between them. Mostly because she can't imagine a way for him to even do so. But either way, she would never pressure him into anything. God knows now more than ever that he deserves to do things at his own pace, in his own way. (And that includes her.) She'll take Shiro's cue on things. He's the one that's leaving to space for a long while, anyway. She wouldn't mind if they spent their last night together entangled in each other but she also wouldn't mind if they just laid in their garden and looked up at the stars and talked all night. Now it's less about her birthday and more about Shiro leaving. She'll take his cue.

So even though the press of his lips against her jaw sends something warm and electric through her, she just hums a sound that sounds like it would've been a yes. ]

[ Then carefully, she uses her fork to section off a chunk of cake, and then takes up a more-than-bite-size piece of it with her fork. She takes a bite of it for herself, first, and gives a delighted hum before she holds some up to Shiro. It should be less dangerous with a fork, at least, so-- ]

[The truth of the matter is that Shiro isn't very experienced with this kind of thing. He's good looking and he's admired and he knows he attracts attention but he was always too driven at the Garrison for any real relationships, too intent on pushing himself and there was never anyone that kept up with him. He had girlfriends. Two, maybe three, and he had a few one night stands but nothing ever stuck, nothing ever lasted, nothing ever pulled any commitment out of him and long before he graduated he'd stopped. His eyes had always been full of stars, his heart set on them. Nothing else had ever come close.

Until now. Until a tiny little bubble of energy and steel with bunny ears and determination had bounced off his back at a festival and accused him of being abnormally tall and, somewhere along the way between that and Polaroid snapshot pictures, she'd run off his with heart in her small hands without even realizing it.

Takashi Shirogane had no idea what he was doing. It was freeing. It was also terrifying. And if it had been anyone else in the world, perhaps that would have balked him but - it was Hana. Bright, beautiful, brave, lion-hearted, bunny soft, fierce, gentle Hana.

The laugh rumbled in his chest and he dutifully leaned forward and opened his mouth, taking the bite, humming as he chewed because it really was good and that meant his family had bought it at the local bakery because no one in the family was more than a vaguely passable cook. Her cheek got another kiss and then he turned his head and got distracted by the bunny clip in her hair.]

Next time Grandmother does your hair for you, I'd like to be there to watch.

[ Hana would be hard-pressed to really call her past adventures in dating relationships with people. Because-- no one has ever held her interest as strongly as Takashi Shirogane has. No one else has been so strong, admirable, kind, gentle, affectionate, handsome, brave, and amazing as he is. And no else has managed to have her falling in love so slowly but so deeply as he has. Sure, Hana has dated a few people that she's thought she's liked but--

None as strongly as Takashi Shirogane.

She smiles when he gives her another kiss on the cheek, and with her free hand she reaches up, brushes hair away from her face and tucking it behind her ear before it trails down along her bare neck. ]

She did a good job! I don't know if I could do this kinda style by myself. It's so much easier just to keep my hair down.

Next time I'll take selfies in case you're not around. I tried this time but she told me I wasn't allowed to because it was supposed to be a surprise. I didn't know what she meant at first but-- she meant you. [ She chuckles. ] Honestly, that woman...

[ With her fork-wielding hand she picks up some more cake, and shoves it into her mouth as she shakes her head like she's supposed to be disappointed in what happened even though in reality it's the exact opposite. ]

I like your hair down.

[He doesn't think he's stating anything she probably isn't already completely aware of. If she hasn't picked up on his fascination with her hair yet, its certainly not because he's being the least bit subtle about it.

And his grandmother is probably just thrilled to have a cohort. While she's always gotten along with his mother, Shiro's mother was always more on the shy and private side while his grandmother loved being the center of attention and raising eyebrows. They matched well but -

but Shiro thought that having Hana in her life had probably taken about twenty years of age off his grandmother.

He reached up with his human fingers, stroked at the wisps of stray hair that had slipped down to lay against the back of Hana's neck, let his fingers trail over the warmth of her skin.]

I think I'm starting to like it up too.
