The Premise • Ideas • OOC The Premise Ah, the joy of pregnancy. Many people consider it a true blessing to be able to bring. For others, admittedly, it's not exactly planned. Still, once it's done, that's one etch-a-sketch that usually can't be shaken to erase. Might as well get used to that pregnant glow. But hey, look at this way: those who are with child can find themselves with a much fuller figure, larger breasts, a higher libido...that's surely worth the surprise lactation, the sore feet, and the eventual baby- Right? You may remain yourself, or you may believe yourself to be in a completely different world, such as a modern couple starting a family or a medieval lord and lady producing an heir. The timey-wimey magic also comes in handy, as the stages of pregnancy can be jumped to at random, so no two people may be the same degree of "along." Don't think that the gender roles are so rigid here as they are in the real world, though; it wouldn't be amusing that way. Biological men can get pregnant, biological women can impregnate others...just go with it. So have fun and enjoy the new kinks in your sex life! You know, some people have a pregnancy fetish... Becoming such a high-ranking member of the First Order at such a young age was impressive in its own right, but to create a superweapon as immense and powerful as Starkiller Base was in another league altogether. He was being compared to Grand Moff Tarkin in propaganda holos distributed across First Order space, his strong Imperial accent marking the end of each holo with the demand that more parents offer their children to the army.

The loathsome Resistance sought to fracture the galaxy into pieces, an act that Hux had been taught to hate since he was just a boy.

The day of victory was drawing nearer, the weapon being tested to ensure it could vaporize the Hosnian System from a safe distance. Without their precious fleet, the Resistance would be powerless. It was perfect. Hux went to deliver his favorable news to Supreme Leader, rolling his eyes at Kylo Ren, who glowered at him from his place before Snoke.

As always, they fought for the favor of the Supreme Leader, Hux seeming to win out this time. The Knight of Ren was sent off to sulk elsewhere on the ship, Hux looking smug as Snoke held him--asking if he intended to get married. The question caught the general rather unaware, unable to really mask the surprise in his face.

"I-- Are there not more important tasks to focus on?" He asked lamely, finding his marital status to be at the bottom of his list of priorities.

"Your father grows older by the day, and you have yet to produce offspring. If this weapon is as powerful as you say, your name will be feared by our enemies for generations to come. We cannot risk losing you without an heir."

He would be dismissed after being sent the dossiers of several fertile soldiers aboard his own Finalizer, finding himself uninterested in the women, and repulsed by most of the men--brainwashed stormtroopers or low-level officers that would sniffle and quiver at his feet. This was hopeless, Hux was the opposite of what one would consider romantic, too rigid in his ways and expecting perfection from all his subordinates.

It was the final name on the list that finally drew his eye, Poe Dameron, a decorated pilot of the First Order. Apparently, he'd single-handedly ensured that air raids on Resistance bases had gone smoothly, with very few casualties and minimal waste of resources. In other words, he was good at what he did. The general mused over the man's faintly smirking face looking at him from the screen of his datapad, taking another sip of his caf before sending the man in question a message over a private comm network.

Poe wasn't just good. He was the best and he was confident enough that it didn't need saying. People just knew. Other pilots wanted to fly with him because they respected him and they knew they'd have a good chance at making it back alive with him. His commanders knew that he produced results at a sometime alarming pace. Troopers were fairly afraid of him, some even going so far as to call him a demon.

Of course, not when anyone important was around.

The message wasn't something he expected. Oh, he was well aware of Hux and his reputation. The General was a known hardass and someone that Poe hadn't really had the chance to meet yet. If he had, he was pretty certain that Hux wouldn't be so keen on wanting to talk to him again. Still, an order was an order and while Poe was one to smirk at such things, he wouldn't directly disobey. Ever. He might be an ass, but he was a good soldier.

The next morning found Poe at Hux's door at three minutes to eight, uniform clean and neat enough to make damn near anyone happy. The faint scruff on his cheeks, however, showed that he wasn't exactly as polished at the the uniform. At least he had a good reason for it, which he would happily share if asked.

"You wanted to see me, sir?"

Taking the time to show up early was a nice touch, Hux finding himself pleasantly surprised when he commanded the doors to open.

He was standing around a massive holo map of the galaxy, gloved hands deft as they investigated the fringes of unknown space, placing markers where he desired to send scouting ships. This was a side curiosity of his. Clearly, Starkiller Base and the Resistance were more at the forefront of importance.

The general wouldn't say anything initially as Poe entered the room, letting the man squirm for a moment as he finished his train of thought with the map--before putting the display into standby, showing instead a rotating image of Starkiller Base. Gloved hands were tucked behind his back, a few neat steps bringing him within civilized speaking distance of his guest.

"Poe Dameron, designation number 3VNLJB. You've been with the First Order for a number of years, and in that time, you've made quite a name for yourself." He gave Poe a once-over, seeming satisfied by the tidiness of his uniform and the respectfulness in his stance.

Interestingly, he didn't see any of the usual simpering fear in those attractive dark eyes. Hux made a note of it.

"Tell me, how did you come to serve the First Order? What drives you?"

A peculiar question, to be sure. But Hux was watching Poe with sharp green eyes, using his superior height to appear more imposing.
