[So. It's not like they haven't kissed before. That's probably how this (doomed, Derek thought privately) relationship started, with Stiles kissing Derek until he agreed to date him.

That's how Derek thinks of it, at any rate. Different accounts may disagree.

And since then, there have been many many enthusiastic kisses of various degrees of...Derek doesn't know how to put it, Going Places. He's always stopped it before it goes too far, though, for a myriad of reasons. Stiles is young, Derek is older, Stiles needs to be sure, Derek needs to get over the fear that he's pushing Stiles where he doesn't want to go, Derek needs to make sure he's not going to hurt Stiles...

many things.

But tonight is going to be special, for the both of them. Yeah, Stiles is probably expecting Derek to shove him against the door and tear his clothes off, and it's not like that hasn't occurred or anything, but. Aforementioned issues aside, Derek doesn't really want Stiles' first time to be like...

well, like his. Stiles has the distinct upshot of having a partner who actually cares about him, so that's good.

And actually waiting in Stiles' bedroom is probably a poor choice, but the idea of a motel makes Derek uneasy and his house isn't exactly the most hospitable.]

[Not surprisingly, Garrus had been incredibly hard to track down. They had broken contact long enough ago that any lead she might have had was cold. She had to start from nothing, sort through innumerable dead ends, and felt like her search took two steps backward for every time she even thought she was moving closer.

She had to find him, though. To make things right. Or apologize. Or something. She wasn't even sure what she would say if she did find him. She figured she'd sort that out when (if) it comes to that.

She got one last lead, bringing her to a small planet on the edge of a system. She stopped in a shady bar in a questionable town for a little bit of liquid courage. Funny how emotions could be scarier than protecting the galaxy sometimes.]

[ When it came to making himself scarce, Garrus is a pro. Then again, he's a pro at a lot of things, but when you add a little dash of heartbreak into the mix, the motivation to stay under the radar just goes right on up.

He figures she won't be tracking him down in the first place, so he doesn't think much about stopping in this particular bar.

Which, as it turns out, was a terrible idea. ]

[The only real major drawback to this entire situation is that by knowing about it before hand, actually gave Stiles time to think about it. Which means he had time to get nervous about it...which means he had nearly dropped half the things he had tried to pick up today, when he was cleaning the house. His dad was out of town for the weekend, so the house was his alone. To...do whatever he wanted in. In theory.

After 'dating' Derek (or whatever they called it, they had never really put a name to it for various reasons) for over a year, this really shouldn't be that big of a deal.

But of course it was; nothing with Derek was rarely anything 'but' a big deal, and if Stiles was honest, most things were to him, too.

But hey, he wants this, and so does Derek. Just--relax, and it will be fine. Just fine.

Checking the time, he frowns slightly. He should be--oh.

Oh of course.

Rolling his eyes, Stiles headed up the stairs pushing open the door to his room to reveal, surprise surprise, one werewolf.

Leaning against the door frame, he manages a tight, nervous smile.]

You know, you could have used the door.

Stiles looks up from the book he's reading, raising an eyebrow slightly. It's not that he's surprised that Isaac is talking to him (okay, maybe he is just a little, the guy is pretty good at being broody when he isn't snarking), but he honestly had become so engrossed in his book on native american folklore (research) that he hadn't realized that the werewolf was still there.

"Yeah? What's up?"

[And at that instant Samus realized just how entirely unprepared she was for this meeting. She just kind of... looks at him for a moment. Before she can even think she's pushing herself up, walking towards him.]

[It wasn't presumptuous to be waiting on Stiles' bed or anything, he'd fallen asleep on it countless times before.

And many times Stiles was even in there with him.

Hem. Creeping tendencies aside. He was stretched out at the foot of the bed, a book from Stiles' shelf in his hands to while away the time (and to keep himself from thinking himself into going back out the window. He sits up, flipping the door closed.] Milestone. I thought it merited tradition.

[And of coures Stiles stinks of nervousness.] We don't have to do this, though.

"You know, I don't actually hate you. Or dislike you. At all. Right?"

...all right, he was sort of bad at getting into this conversation.

[ If there was a chance for him to get out of here, that has long since passed. Now that she's as aware of him as he is of her, there's no getting out of it. He's not the kind of guy that turns and runs.

He continues walking towards the bar, with a nod to her signaling that she should follow. He finds himself half hoping that she doesn't. ]

Fancy meeting you here, Samus.

[ He waves the bartender over, hoping to signal that he needs a drink and fast. ]

Oh no--I mean, I should have figured it's what you would do.

[Stiles moved farther into the room, shutting the door behind him.]

Oh no you don't--

[He grinned despite himself, moving to stand in front of Derek.]

Look I know I probably reek of nervous or whatever, I want to do this. [Hell, he's wanted to for a while, even though he knew the wait was necessary.]

And I swear if you try to get out that window before we go through with it, I'm going to hunt you down myself. With something sharp and pointy.

[He reached out, letting a hand slide through Derek's hair, raising an eyebrow.]

[Derek smiles a little, a crooked quirk to his mouth. He's been smiling a little more since dating Stiles, and he's not sure how to feel about that.

Yes, it's supposed to be a good thing, but really he can't help but treasure the delight in Stiles' eyes whenever he coaxes a smile out of him.

He leans into Stiles' hand.]

You know, you keep threatening me but I'm starting to think you're all talk.

[Sound familiar there?]

"Really?" Stiles closed the book, then, shifting in his seat a bit to provide Isaac more of his attention. It wasn't that he was that surprised, but it wasn't really in Isaac to randomly blurt out things like that.

"I mean--who could hate me, right? I'm pretty inoffensive, most of the time." A little smirk hit his lips then, a deflection.

[Sure enough, when Derek gives that little smile (occasionally Stiles will even manage a grin, but he likes whatever sort he gets), Stiles lights up.]

Hey--my words can be pretty vicious if I want them to be.

Being eloquent should count as a weapon at some point.

[Letting out a breath, he debates for a moment, not really sure what Derek was planning--if he had planned anything...just winging it after getting into the bedroom.

If he doesn't act soon, he's going to get more nervous, and he doubts Derek will find that a turn on. So instead, Stiles bites his lip as he closes the distance, going to straddle Derek's thighs.

He rests his forearms on Derek's shoulders, raising an eyebrow.]

This okay?

[His heart was pounding in his chest, but he wanted this.]

[She slides into a spot next to him, still trying to reel in her thoughts. Luckily, she'd already gotten her drink. She attempts to inconspicuously take swig of it.]

How have you been?

Your words cut, yeah. I live in fear of your sarcasm.

[There's an awkward shift as Derek adjusts himself for Stiles' comfort, hands resting lightly on his waist. The look in his eyes is soft though--He knows what he'd like, but he's glad Stiles takes initiative like this.]

Yeah, it's--this is okay.

[He leans in to press a soft kiss against Stiles' mouth.]

Oh I know--you practically tremble.

[He snorts out a little laugh, biting his lip again when he catches the look in Derek's. Okay, so he cracks little jokes to try and quell the nerves. But he's comfortable, and he trusts Derek. They'd been through enough in the past year and a half...it binds people together, relationship or not.

Letting out a breath, he smiles into the kiss, shifting forward slightly to close the small distance between them as he opened his mouth to Derek's. He knows how to do this; in fact, Stiles is pretty sure that he's become pretty damn good at this, with all the practice he's had.]
