Sleeping Positions

You and your character are in bed together. While sharing a bed and sleeping together with someone can be something for couples, this isn't necessarily just for relationships-- Family and friends having a sleepover can just as easily share a bed as anyone! Who knows, maybe you even accidentally flopped into bed with a stranger, somehow.

What do:
1) Post with your character. Name and canon go in the subject line.
2) Include your preferences.
3) Tag around.
4) If you tag, pick a letter from A-H according to the diagram above. Ta-da. That's the position the characters are sleeping in. If you want more options, click here.

Regulus has always been smaller and slighter than Sirius. It's why he became a Seeker when they were in school. It's also even more apparent now that he's been ill for so long, recovering from the after effects of his perhaps ill-advised jaunt into heroism. He's doing much better now though, and some of the color is coming back to his cheeks.

There are still problems, though. He still has the Mark on his arm and even though he can't go back to meetings when called (even as a spy, not yet, they need to craft his story better), it still burns when he's called. It burns worse and worse for the duration like it's punishment for not heeding the order, and it means he can't sleep if it happens at night.

He's awake now because it hurts and instead he lays in bed tossing and turning, trying to ignore it. Sometimes it works. Most often it doesn't. He swears a lot too, when it's really bad. But he tries to keep it quiet.

This is his worst problem right now, and he's grateful for that.

SCHOOL SHENANIGANS

Being in the same house as your twin really is handy. Even though their personalities differ a lot they're both in Hufflepuff, and they both suit the house. They exist in proximity easily, attached at the hip in the way only twins really are. Felix is so much more laid-back than Carrie is and it's obvious from the way they act, but he manages to meter her personality when she gets too boisterous.

Being in the same house as your twin has other pluses as well: it means that she can easily slip through the door to her brother's dormitory (after knocking, obviously, as she never wants to surprise anyone or be surprised, thank you very much, not her thing at all) and take a running leap onto his bed. "Felix!"

The other boys are so used to her appearing that they don't even care anymore; they just go about their reading or studying or chatting after cursory greetings. It'll be about bedtime soon, but clearly Carrie is still winding down.

Going out drinking is pretty usual. So is flopping in someone's flat, flopping in whatever bed is closest and not caring. That's about where they are now, with Albus draped half across the pillows and laying diagonally across the bed (whose flat are they even in?). He doesn't snore even drunk at least, though the way his limbs tangle in the blankets is probably some kind of annoying at least.

He's dead passed out for a while, but eventually he's going to come to himself enough to realize that maybe, just maybe, he shouldn't be taking up as much space as he is.

"You're sure you don't mind?"

Kirk tilted his head to look up towards Spock again, because despite assurances to the contrary he had a hard time accepting that his logical first mate would agree to this sort of thing. It was not often that Kirk came seeking emotional or psychological help from anyone, and it had been quite a long time since he had been plagued by the truly terrible nightmares.

It left him unprepared for when they did come, no doubt dredged up after the encounter with Krall. And, after long debate, it had been Spock he called to help him. He didn't need much, really - just someone to lay against, to tuck himself against and feel their heat and the thrum of their heart. Granted, Spock's heart was where Kirk's liver was, but he could feel it through his pulse and that was enough.

He wasn't sure he trusted anyone else for this, to raw from recent events to be comfortable with a bar stranger.

"Seriously, I can find someone else if you're not comfortable with this, Spock."

He could always tell when the seasons were starting to change. Certainly, they lingered in the warmer southerly states as much as possible, partly for the fact that it did stay warm. The other part was something they didn't talk about much. That even this long since a war, Confederates, especially infamous ones weren't quite as welcome in certain states.

Sometimes though, they'd dip up further north than intended. Colorado, Montana, the Dakotas. Bounty hunting meant going where the money was and while they made a great deal more on Draws, bounties was a steady cash flow that simply couldn't be ignored.

But because of this, he always knew when it was getting colder. Because further north they got going after bounties, the more people packed into boarding houses and inns along the way as it got just too cold to camp outside. Late fall and winter was an expensive time but the bounties made it worth the trip north, even if it meant having to share a flophouse room with a half dozen other people.

He's tense. He's sure Billy is even more tense. Too many people. But it's that or sleep in the cold outside somewhere. Goody has no intentions of doing that unless he can't find any other alternative. It makes it harder that there are so few beds that people are forced to share. Generally not a problem. Oft times, in a room by themselves, he's in Billy's bed and they have to muss up the other one in the morning so not to raise suspicions. Here though, they can't sleep as they normally do, wrapped up in each other.

Goody lays on his side of the bed and scoots just a little closer to the edge of it to make just a little more space between them. For sharing a bed with the man he loves more than anything, he's never felt so far from him. The scant few inches of empty mattress feels like the Grand Canyon but he has no choice. They have no choice. Not when they're going to be stuck like this a few days while they wait out some early Colorado snowstorm.

In the dark of the room filled with snoring, he whispers, almost barely audible. "Endure it..." He might very well have been talking to himself, reminding himself that this is the one time and place that he can't snuggle against Billy.

[ They'd learned relatively early on in their relationship that Remus' hair likes to sneak its way into Regulus' face, his mouth, as they sleep. But they've mitigated it easily because Regulus is so much shorter - all he has to do is bury against Remus' chest, which is his wont anyway. It's simple. But Regulus started growing his hair a while back.

They've also both been on missions for such a long time that the first time they get a chance to flop together in ages, to really rest, Regulus' hair is quite long. They've seen each other, certainly. Stolen furtive moments, affections and time spent. But their schedules are so disparate that a whole night together just doesn't happen.

Which is how they end up coiled together like twin vines all night long, sleeping hard and recovering. Sleeping a long time, curved close. Regulus, who started out completely touch-averse, has gotten so used to closeness and affections that he burrows into Remus' chest, his neck, his hair, never quite moving away.

Even when he wakes up he doesn't move just yet, arms around his torso and eyes barely slitted open as he waits for Remus to wake as well. ]

Things are like... okay, he guesses. He's been dating a little off and on, people he likes well enough but aren't right. He knows who is right, of course, but that's not panning out since he's dating a load of pricks right one after another. It's frustrating, especially when Albus tries so hard.

He's just broken things off with his latest ill-advised foray into trying to pretend he can date anyone but Scorpius Malfoy without feeling like garbage, and he's even more frustrated than usual. It's telling that he doesn't tell their mum and dad, doesn't tell James, certainly doesn't tell Scorpius, but he's more than willing to make his way into Lily's room during a holiday visit to the family home so that he can flop face down across the foot of her bed, making an anxious, aggressive noise that's muffled into the mattress.

So graceful and articulate your older brother is, Lily Luna.

The tiniest bit of light manages to filter in through the blinds. Naturally, it's shining right across Remy's face. He manages to ignore it for all of half a second before groaning and rolling over, right into another warm lump in the bed. Very warm.

Now this... this wasn't so bad. He flung an arm over Logan's chest and shifted slightly to make himself more comfortable, content to drift back to sleep.

Except.

"... you smell like cheap beer," To be fair, it was hard to believe Remy could smell much of anything with how much he reeked of bourbon. It'd been an interesting night, alright? But if he was suffering, he was going to make sure Logan was awake and suffering too.
