Peter did not sign up for this much buddy cop cliche when he came to New York. There was to be some liasing (liason-ing? Can liason be a verb?) with whatever the NYPD's version of the Folly was and attempt some base-touching and communication with American wizards (Magic-Using Americans?) in a way at least slightly more tactful than JK Rowling's approach.

Now he was in a little farming town upstate with the poor, possibly/probably not-in-the-know-about-magic officer who was assigned to help him on the "official" business that had him stateside, her heavily pregnant sister, and the inevitable niece or nephew about to arrive unscheduled.

"I'm fairly certain the back of a lorry is not an ideal place to be doing this. How far are we from the nearest hospital again?"

On the upside, this was still going better than the last time he visited the countryside.

She's been in car chases before, but she's never driven the car. Partly because she's too short still to reach the gas and the steering wheel and at the same time look outside.

But now they need to take control of it or they will crash into something. And there's two cars behind them that have not yet noticed that something is wrong, but as soon as they will, they will have another problem on their hands, too.

Obliterating the driver so he would stop driving at high speed back into the research facility that they just escaped from sounded like a good idea at that time, that is, after they'd manage to free themselves and sneak into the front of the transporter, but...

Well, maybe she should have thought about this before stabbing him into the neck.

She turns back towards the boy that she escaped with. "Have you ever driven a car?"

It wasn't so much that they'd managed to get lost that was weighing on him but more that they'd managed to get split up from their group and then lost. Then again, if someone rolls a boulder down a cliff in your direction the initial reaction is get out of the way and it just so happened that Hattori and Ran jumped out of the way in one direction and he and Kazuha jumped the other and then tumbled down a hill right into the river which carried them to who knew where. No phones. No provisions. No way to get ahold of Ran and Hattori. ]

Once moment Kazuha and Conan are with the group and the next thing she knew a boulder was coming at them and she and Conan jumped out of the way and right down a hill into some water.

This was not okay. Why did they not have their phones this is unacceptable.

What's also not okay is that Kazuha's wrist doesn't feel right either um.

Oh let's focus on the kid first actually good idea?? Since Ran-Chan isn't there with her it's up to her to make sure Conan doesn't get into any trouble!
