The Trading Places Meme
-Respond with your characters.
-People who want to tag you can hit up the RNG for a number.
-Whatever number you rolled is what these characters have "traded". Depending on the number and circumstance, characters can either be aware of it or not. For example, they may not notice if they suddenly have a whole different set of memories, but they will notice if they've switched bodies.
-Shenanigans. Everyone please play nice. =D
THE THINGS-
1-Bodies- The old and far-from-tired "freaky Friday" plot. You suddenly find yourself in someone else's body. Now is a good time to flip out.
2-Backstory/Memories- Maybe their personality and current situation is in tact, but now they remember having the other person's past and childhood. It might be hard to explain why a highly trained soldier remembers being raised by criminals, so feel free to point out that something is amiss.
3-Roles- Maybe the bad guy had to go stop the hero from doing something insanely stupid, or the damsel in distress has to go rescue him. Either way, things are opposite of what they typically are. If you're having trouble understanding, think of that one spin-off game where Princess Peach had to go save Mario, or The Prince and the Pauper.
4-Universes- A combination of the above two; this is an AU prompt where one character is now completely and totally the other. Maybe that annoying comic relief is now the hero who has saved the world countless time, while basically everyone thinks the hero is annoying. Characters may or may not be aware of this change.
5-Canon- Another AU prompt. This time, your character has been adapted to the rules and conventions of the other character's canon, and vise-versa. Maybe it won't make much of a difference aside from a few vampire sightings, or maybe it'll mean your character is another species altogether.
6- Abilities- This mostly applies to those with powers, but characters who are just better at sports or math can join in on the fun. One person has the abilities of the other. If it's supernatural, maybe they don't have any control. This may be hard to come to terms with, but that's what you get for being jealous of someone else's talents, or making fun of the superhero with the lame powers.
7- Choose your own!- Choose your own, combine the two, or come up with your own idea.

i could probably build something!!! or at least a seat belt
but first lets see if i can windy this thing now!!!!!
[ SUPER EXCITE, there's probably already a strong breeze blowing her hair around even before she turns to focus her attention on the shrinkified board with a look of determination >8| ]
no subject
[oh whoops grabbing hold of his hood just in case and it is kind of weird feeling the wind around him but not being in the centre but the important thing is getting this board up!]
i am one hundred percent sure you can!
[fistpump]
no subject
[ she raises a hand at the board and... okay whoa it blows up in a mini-twister and catches some seriously unreal air! before landing in a nearby tree. ]
oh whoops!!!!!
no subject
that was still pretty good! maybe it just needs less of a kick.
okay, now… i'm gonna try and get it back!
[does he need to be closer? he's pretty sure he doesn't, but… well, he'll find out!]
no subject
im worried about trying to fly myself now but this would be good teleportation practice! :o
[ hmmm now that she thought of it John could probably fly with spacey powers too, but accio-ing the board would probably be safer for everyone 8|b ]
no subject
it could take a while i guess…
but it is so worth it!
[STARING INTENTLY at the board he's not sure how this goes maybe if he just thinks about sort of… pulling it over
the board shakes a bit!]
no subject
youre almost there :o
[ man, this stuff is pretty hard to explain. she tries to give a little encouraging gust in the board's direction. it slips even more from the branch, almost as if it's going to fall... ]
no subject
[movement is probably not helping but on the other hand he's going to try to get it before it slips off entirely because that would probably not be a good thing! so he focuses again, only because it's slipping he's panicking a little and. well.
he probably didn't mean for it to appear above his head. ow.]
no subject
[ on instinct, she tried to reach out to warp it away. except right, no space powers! the breeze she summoned did manage to blow it off course from a direct headbonk to just a painful bunp on the ear, though, but still 8( ]
whoops...
sorry john! :( :(
no subject
it's not your fault! i don't think i had where it was supposed to be in mind as well as i should have…
so there's nothing you need to be sorry for!
[taking his hand away, and- oh. he's bleeding a bit, but it doesn't seem that bad…]
maybe i should something softer next time
no subject
that car you had looked so cool :(
but its hard to aim this wind sometimes. with space, you just kinda... know things!
[ bluh, she does notice that, and she'll just take your hand now. let's go home to put a band-aid on! ]
softer?? hmm, how about practicing on my squiddles????
no subject
it… yeah it is
i kind of ended up crashing the car after all
it would've been nice to avoid that!
[raising no objections! he'll just. grab the board first because otherwise he'll feel pretty silly about the last little while.]
yeah! that sounds just about perfect
no subject
but for now lets just go home and put a bandage on that
and then we can warp and windy my tanglebuddies around, those wont hurt anyone :D
[ yeah! makin' a mental note to alchemize or weld some safety straps for casey to ride it, too~ ]
no subject
yeah
we should probably get some disinfectant too
just in case!
yes!
this will be the best practice session
no subject
[ she gently touches the lobe of John's ear. it doesn't take long to get back and retrieve a box of band aids, but... even though they are technically ectotwins, John's still somehow a little taller than she is and she can't really see the cut so well. it must've been all the milk you drank and the cakes you ate when you were a kid! bluh! ]
no subject
is this better?
no subject
now hold still...
[ she carefully goes up on tip-toe just to make sure she'll get the right place, and folds the band-aid gingerly over John's ear. there seems to be a soft wind blowing around, but she doesn't notice as her feet rises a few inches above the ground. ]
no subject
:o
jade!
no subject
huh?
what is it john????
no subject
[getting up and he moves to hug her initially but oh man maybe that will cancel it out! that'd suck if it happened before she saw it for herself so he settles for grabbing her hands and grinning wide.]
no subject
[ she looks down at her feet and nearly trips over her own heels in midair when she finds out she totally is! and then inadvertently flutters up a few feet more in excitement 8D ]
omg, im flying!!!!! :D :D :D
no subject
i know! awesome, right?
no subject
............ umm but now i dont know how to get dow...
[ and she bunps her head against the ceiling. ow!! the wind abruptly stops and she drops a few feet back down, rubbing the sore spot a little, grinning sheepishly. well that works too!? ]
no subject
you'll get the hang of it! i bet now that you've started doing it it'll be a lot easier.
try and grab my hands, okay?
no subject
yeah its kinda hard to control!
this might take a while
you dont mind if i use you as an anchor in the meantime right???? <3
