"She spoke of how she had been afraid on her first mission. About being called 'the X-Men' ... How Havok, Scott's brother, had been a handful, but when the time came to fight, he was extremely brave. I asked what had happened to the other kids and ..." he trailed off, finally taking note of how easily he'd blurted all of that out. "I'm sure they all fought valiantly and to the best of their abilities." Hopefully, Raven would be all right with him telling Charles what she'd told them, though he didn't see why it would be a problem.

"You did!" Kurt teased gently, letting out a laugh afterward. "For a good reason, I am sure and if Miss Darkholme thinks it went well then it should be okay for me to say that it did. It's tiring, that's for sure, but I'm finding out that all of the new ways I can test my limits is thrilling." As long as they didn't end in over-exertion like when he'd teleported all of them off the plane. "Ja! Will you be there this time? I think I might have even learned a few things that could impress you." Not that the blue boy wanted to be a show-off or anything; he liked for his teachers to know that he was working hard and progressing instead of sitting in one spot or worse - regressing.

"Alex... was a man that would make anyone proud. He was brash, but he fought with nothing less than his heart." Alex might have been the person he felt the most guilt over after Erik, given that the young man had died in an attempt to save him. No, really, there was little more he could have done, but it didn't quite stop those feelings. The heart rarely tended to follow logic, and sometimes, neither did the mind.

"But we will put their work to training, mm?" Charles scooped up a forkful of mashed peas, pleased to hear that things were going well in the Danger Room, then. "I'm most curious to find out what you've been up to. I plan to be down there for your next session, so I hope to see the work of your efforts." But he paused, curious on another level of it. "Do you find the training too difficult? Too easy? Is there anything else you feel you need? Raven has been informing me about upgrades needed, but I mean for yourself personally. If we need to modify things to give everyone a proper training course, we would rather do that sooner than later."

"I regret not getting the chance to meet Alex myself. Scott speaks rather fondly of his brother, so if I catch him when he's in a talkative mood without pushing too much, I enjoy hearing about their time together." Kurt never brought up the subject unless his fellow teammate mentioned it; he didn't know what it was like to lose a sibling, but he knew the emotions that came with missing them. He always did his best to make sure that once the topic of discussion had been finished, Scott never left his company in a bad mood. So far, he'd been successful.

"Ja, absolutely!" Enthusiastic' and 'diligent' were two words that described how he approached anything in the Danger room and in tandem, the teleporter felt confident enough to face whatever challenge Raven, Hank or both had put together for him. Once he had finished what was on his plate, he pushed it to the side and picked up the bowl of fruit, popping a strawberry into his mouth, chewing, and swallowing before returning to the conversation. "There's been a lot of physical testing - things that have challenged my acrobatic and martial arts skills." Another piece of fruit down, he paused, tapping the prongs of his fork against his bottom lip in contemplation. "I would not say that the training is too easy nor is it too hard. There have been things that have pushed the limits, but I find satisfaction in the burn that I feel after a good day of practice. I have not fallen unconscious from teleporting too much, so that is a plus."

His brow furrowed, uncertainty clear on his face at Charles' mention of anything 'personal' that he might need. "I ... cannot say that I understand what you mean, Professor. I would not think that I need anything for myself in particular."

"It's better to help him remember the good times." He made a point to meet Kurt's eyes, making sure that the other understood he was serious, not just saying it. "Thank you for doing that. He needs someone to speak with on that sort of thing." With a warm smile, he eased it gently back properly out of that sad topic. He was a little slower in finishing his meal, one that he had to watch to a degree what he ate if he wanted to make sure he didn't gain from a lack of lower movement. Hank still kept him doing exercise.

"I only want to make sure you all have what you need to be able to train to your utmost. If there was something you'd want to help yourself, I would make sure you have it, that's all." He didn't want to worry Kurt too much with his offer. "I'm excited to see what you can do. You're quite a bit more dexterous than most... has Hank ever worked out against you?" Given that when he went blue, Hank was equally as athletic as Kurt in his opinion. It might be good for them both, and he thought he would speak to Raven on it later. She had very much taken charge in the fighting department, with his blessing.

"As often as I can." When their gazes met again, he couldn't help the urge to turn away, fingers lifting to absently rub across the scars on his flushing face. "It's not a problem at all. I don't know exactly what he is going through, but I can at least offer my condolences and an open ear for when he wants to chat about it." Kurt silently thanked his teacher for returning the discussion to something more uplifting by looking back at him and offering an exuberant grin of his own; he didn't mind talking about such things, but he always felt like he was gossiping if the topic was about someone who wasn't there.

"Ah, okay! Currently, I don't think there is anything that I could think of for myself, although I will keep the offer in mind if I happen to come up with something." His entire face lit up at Charles' mention of his excitement to see him perform, the purple tint of his cheeks darkening at the compliment or at least, that's what he figured it was. "Not yet. I would be honored to practice hand-to-hand with Doctor McCoy. I'm sure he is far more versed in it than I am, but what a thrill!" Sparring with Raven had been a once a week thing and he had to admit that she definitely knew what she was doing when it came to engaging in fisticuffs.

The scars were a thing of wonder, but it was also something clearly personal as well. Had they come from the circus? From the mother who had left Kurt? From the man who had considered him a freak instead of the brilliant young man he was? They were beautiful and elegant, but spoke of a great deal of sacrifice to be carved into flesh as such. One day, he would ask that question and find out, but until it seemed the right time, it would remain a mystery. Perhaps one of the children would ask before him and he would find out by word of mouth. Gossip would never stop being a hot commodity in the school.

"I think I'll suggest it to him. Or worse, Raven." He winked, clearly having a bit of fun. "Once she gets the idea in her head, she'll manage to convince him. Really, it'll be good for you both. He's gotten quite good at it, but having someone to actively work against will sharpen you both." As it was with himself and Jean. The more they worked together, the faster they were both growing in their skills. Sometimes, though, it almost frightened him how rapidly this young woman was growing in her gifts. However, watching Kurt's excitement in being able to learn more was a pleasure to see, keeping that smile on his lips.

"Also, I wanted to try something with you in the near future." Their discussion had finally dislodged a mental note he had made to himself several days before. "I'm curious if it is possible to follow you-" he brought his fingers near his temples, indicating his own power, "when you teleport, something I've yet to actively try."

If Charles were to ask about the scars, the German mutant wouldn't be too keen on giving him the straightforward answer, although it was not in his nature to lie about anything. He found that when he spoke of the intricate swirls and whorls that decorated him from hairline to his ribs, he'd received strange looks, words of pity or, in the worst case scenarios, he had been scolded or made fun of. Explaining to people that ritual scarification was his way of repenting for sins of the past (or future) never seemed to go over well either. So far, many of the students chose to avoid the question and part of Kurt preferred it that way.

"Ach, not more training with Miss Darkholme!" he exclaimed, playfully dropping himself onto the table in mock exhaustion. "If she can convince him, I would gladly help Doctor McCoy with honing his skills a little more. The teleporting might be a nice change of pace for him." Really though, he reveled in the challenge of practicing against his mentors, knowing that they were all well-trained in combat. Not that he didn't like to practice alongside or against his fellow students - there was just something about pushing himself, striving to be better with each passing day and although they far surpassed him, training with Raven, Hank and even Charles gave him a swell of pride that he assumed other younger mutants felt at times, too.

"With me?" His head tipped to the side in curiosity, dual-toned strands draping across the table before he straightened himself back up to not seem rude. He perked once again when his teacher motioned to the side of his head, an enthusiastic grin tugging his lips back up, yellow eyes glittering as he focused them on Charles. "Ausgezeichnet! I wonder if that's possible ..."

While Charles was not the kind to give pity, scold, or make fun in such a situation, he could have, and did, understood Kurt's hesitation in wanting to speak on the scars. What he would have hoped was that there would be no further need to continue. Everyone had their methods to handle their pain and guilt, some more visible than others, but Charles could not insult any other in the face of how he had handled his own.

Kurt's reaction made him chuckle, earning the young man a 'sympathic' pat to his shoulder. "Yes, more training with Miss Darkholme. You will have to suffer under her hand, but perhaps working with Doctor McCoy would help ease your burden." He sounded amused even as he tried to sound serious about it, but had every plan to see if Hank would be willing to train with Kurt. It could be good for both of them, and perhaps slowly they could convince Hank to be less afraid of his own mutation. He sincerely doubted Hank would ever stop using the serum entirely, but he knew the other's feelings about it.

"Exactly. I'm quite curious about the science that might be tested with your ability, but more so if we will be able to track you either through the device set in your suit or through my mentally tracking you. We are, in essence, often testing a new field of existence when it comes to our powers, learning through experience and trial, in a manner that is safest for us and does not distrupt our lives. Learning to control our abilities and refine them is important, but so is our connections between our powers. We will be able to grow as a team in knowing how they work together."

He can tell that Charles most likely wants to ask about the scars - curiosity is easy for him to pick up on, considering it's something that he has plenty of experience in. As tempted as he is to let his teacher know that it would be okay to ask about them, his fangs sink into the side of his cheek, stifling any sort of comments about the markings for now. Better to leave that sort of discussion for another time, perhaps?

The 'consoling' touch on his shoulder made it hard for Kurt to continue with his dramatic reaction, those fangs easily reappearing in a vibrant smile. "As theatrical as I am acting, I truly appreciate all of the hard work she, you and Doctor McCoy put into training all of us. If not for any of you, we would probably be lacking any sort of control over our powers." Whatever he could do to help the other blue mutant, he was completely willing to try any and everything to aid in easing any fear that Hank might have about his mutation. Then, if he was lucky enough to get a chance to, maybe he'd be able to inquire about that serum.

"... there's a tracking device in my suit?" Well, that was something new to him or he might have been informed and just completely forgotten. There were far too many of those moments for his liking at times. "I can't say for sure if you will be able to track me, whether through some form of technology or through telepathy, but I will happily test whatever you need me to if it means perfecting our teamwork. A strong, solid bond between all of us is important."

[Still at your friends? How was it or is it? ^_^ I did my first ever 5k this weekend - it was crazy! (I am not happy about waking up at 6:30AM on a Sunday though...) Got so much done this weekend but I'm exhausted. I need a weekend away from my weekend! XD]

"I went through those years with no concept of how to truly control my powers; my goal is to make sure that others don't have to be forced to live that alone, not when there are people who can help. No one should have to go through that." He could all too well remember those days, believing that he was slowly losing his mind as more and more voices came in and out of his mind. The day he finally figured out it wasn't just his mind but he was hearing other people had been a relief as much as it was terrifying. Who could he tell as a child? His somewhat distant parents? His school? No. It had been a journey he had made mostly alone - until he met Raven and learned he wasn't alone.

"It's something Doctor McCoy has been working on. It will give us a general location if we can get close enough." This was far before the days of high tech, but what Hank was creating was often far more advanced than even some of the military. They had a vast range the devices could be tracked on a unique signal. "We want to make sure that if something should happen... we can find one another in the future." Given that they had been unable to find Charles and the panic it had caused, something needed to change and Hank had quickly worked to rectify that. "We can give this a go sometime in the near future and I am going to be very interested in the results. I have a few possible theories of how your abilities function but this testing will validate or discredit those."

[yes, i am! i'll be going home today though and i must admit, i will be happy to sleep in my own bed tonight and cuddle my kitties. :> wow! sounds like you had a super busy weekend! (i would HATE having to get up that early on a sunday :c) i chased around three children and took care of two babies XD i definitely know that feeling!]

"It must have been hard to go through life, thinking you were the only one out there that had this amazing ability. The fact that you have taken that and created this school so others do not have to go through it proves that something great can come from past struggles." The circus had been a safe-haven for him and his adoptive family; he didn't know if there had been other mutants there aside from them, but he knew that if someone found out about their powers, they would not be judged because of it. Having to flee because of the change in owners had been more than heart-breaking for him and Kurt still felt a small amount of resentment toward himself for being selfish, regardless of the fact that it meant the possibility of death. Surely, they wouldn't have wanted him to be gone from their lives completely.

"How brilliant! That's going to help out a lot for missions where we might have to go in separate groups." Or, in a worst case scenario, something happening like when Charles had been kidnapped by Apocalypse and his group. Really, it felt like some form of sheer luck that they'd been able to get onto the helicopter, infiltrate that base, figure out Charles' whereabouts, and have a plane to get all the way to Egypt. Tracking devices in their suits would ease quite a bit of stress if a situation like that were to ever arise again. "Well, you know the times that I am free and the fact that I will be eagerly awaiting this testing." He drew a hand up to his chin, humming quietly in thought. "Color me intrigued. How do you think my powers work?"

"Did you know?" Charles asked curiously; nothing Kurt had said indicated that anyone in the circus he had been a part of was anything other than human. "I mean, that there were other mutants in the world?" Really, it wasn't something he had truly thought through for others until now, at least not with any depth. "It seems more and more with the word spreading, it's becoming harder to be ignorant of the existence of mutants. Information is becoming easier and easier to access." A little smile, a hint of sadness in that. Such a different world than one he grew up in, one he was proud of being able to help to change though right now... the world was still recovering from the damage done by one of their own.

"Doctor McCoy is the brilliant one in this case." More like the terrified - he never wanted something like that to happen again and Charles agreed. "As far as your powers... I've several theories, some more radical than others, but nothing I've decided is the most likely. They're quite unusual, after all. Raven is an exchange of bulk, a shift in the makeup of what makes her, her, but without loss of mass. You... is it a complete breaking apart of all of you, down to the cellular level, and a reforming at the speed of light elsewhere? Matter broken down to pass through matter? A conversion to light seems the least likely as light does not have mass." He gave a brief flash of that smile again. "Clearly I've put thought into this one, I suppose."

"At first? Nein, I was so young and I think Margali was already worried enough about my safety. She kept hers and Jimaine's powers close to herself, but once I became a pre-teen, I suppose she deemed is safe enough to tell me," a pause, long enough to allow him to set aside his bowl and sink back against his chair. "I know what it feels like to be alone and while I am not in that situation here, I can't help but wonder if I am the only mutant of my ... appearance." And it wasn't the blue he was thinking of, no. His tri-fingered hands, the cloven feet, the fangs, that long tail, his demonic eyes ... If his biological parents were still alive, which of them had graced him with such features? "It's only a matter of time before we're all exposed. We can only hope that humans continue to be accepting."

He nodded his head in understanding, "He really is a genius. I can see him going exceedingly far in life." Despite the distress of his mutation; Kurt could assume that the serum he'd created had helped with most of that though. He grinned toward the mentioned ideas of his abilities, propping an elbow up onto the table and resting his cheek in his palm, face creased in consideration. "All of those sound plausible, but we won't really know until we start testing. It would be far more helpful if I didn't move so quickly and I could see more than blackness with miniscule flashes of light."

[SUCH CUTIES. It's weird... I have every soft spot for any type of animal. I have a rabbit (almost 20 pounds - and he's a runt! Flemmish Giants are so amazing) and my two kitties currently, but I've owned dogs and rats as well. My family are farmers and at my mom's place is a gineua pig, about 20 rabbits, a dog, two cats, and a dove right. Cows and pigs up in the barns. However... for some reason, this just doesn't apply to kids. I like being able to give them love and then hand them back after a very brief period of time. Like, a minute. I'm happy for everyone else, though!! XD]

Charles' brows shot right up at that and he leaned in, now deeply curious. "Your mother and sibling had powers as well?" AH! No wonder this woman had been so ready to adopt a child like Kurt in a place where it sounded like their kind would be less than welcomed. He felt a deep sorrow for the idea of a child being left abandoned purely because he looked different. Then again, he had been ready to adopt Raven as his sister from the moment of their meeting.

"Well..." Kurt mentioning appearance brought up a few thoughts, leaving Charles looking up just slightly. "You know, now that you mention it, I did see someone who looked vaguely like you, though his coloring was different." That caused him to blink, looking more at Kurt as he realized- "And he had similar abilities." He could remember the description given to him, the story about the 'red demon' who teleported in and out and had taken Angel from them. "I had mostly forgotten about it-" more on purpose than purely by time, those memories haunted him, "-but now that I think about it, the more similar you two seem."

Though he did tuck that information into the back of his mind - blackness, flashes of light.

The reaction to him mentioning his family's abilities brought on a look of confusion, though he hadn't actually talked about his mother's or sister's powers before now, had he? "They do. Mutter disguises herself as a clairvoyant which is convenient, since she's a sorceress. Jimaine says that she has the same powers, but I have yet to see either of them in action. Not to make that sound like I don't believe them - it would just be enthralling to see." Because 'sorceress' could be a rather broad term in the case of mutant powers.

"Hmmm?" he inquired, curiosity thoroughly piqued and now, it was his turn to be surprised. A mutant that shared his appearance (aside from color) and had comparable skills? His eyes grew wide with astonishment, face lifting from his palm, both hands propping up onto the table as he gawked at his teacher. He'd never heard of anyone remotely like himself and for Charles to come out with this made his heart flutter in a way that he couldn't exactly explain. "He looked like me and had similar abilities?" No, there wasn't a chance that it could be that sort of possibility.

What could 'sorceress' even mean? To him, it sounded a great deal like some of the past terms he had research written to disguise mutations in the past, to hide them among legend and rumor so as to not be outed, a term used to outcast or betray, or more typically, something that was labeled upon them later in their existence when they became myth. Could she perhaps read minds? No, that seemed unlikely given the man who had taken over the circus. Maybe she was able to move objects or predict some outcomes? Maybe possibilities came to mind, but given that Kurt had not suggested something more specific, he didn't want to push too far. Another time, perhaps.

"Somewhat like you. Unfortunately... we had very little information on him." His tone suggested very much what he knew to be true, that the teleporting one that had taken Angel and, even more heart-breakingly, Darwin from them was dead. "I... wish it could have been more of something for you to look into." Hindsight was ever 20/20, leaving him to wonder highly if he even should have brought up Azazel.

All Kurt knew about his adoptive mother's powers was that they were strong; she had mentioned being able to cast spells, but when he inquired about any other sort of abilities she might have, her response was simply: 'In due time,' which had frustrated him to no end at first, though after taking a step back and looking at it from her point of view, he could understand what she meant. Besides, he hadn't thought about it until much later (when he'd been taken from the circus in Munich), but had she revealed anything too complex, it might have been trouble for all of them.

"I see ..." It didn't take him long to catch on. He closed his eyes in thought, wondering just who this Azazel had been and what he was to any of the mutants that he already knew, if anything at all. For some reason, he felt an odd hint of sadness that he couldn't explain - something he tried to tamp down by meeting Charles' gaze again and smiling softly. "It's all right, Professor. I suppose there's no use in digging into the pasts of ghosts, ja?"

Following the comics works for me - I wasn't sure if you followed it so I figured I would stay vague until you gave me a clue! ^_^ I hooooope we get more info on him on the future! Though I wonder about Mystique... I think she's too young to have been his mother?]

"Sometimes, they will come to find us when we least expect them to." Moira, in a strange way, felt like that. A ghost of his past, but now... she was a part of his present. Her ability to forgive was greater than anything he had ever could have expected and his heart thanked her more and more with each day. In many ways, she was helping to, slowly, help him piece himself back together. Their lives were both busy, with him with the school and her with the government. Whenever they could be together, they would, but it wasn't always.

"I wish there was more information I could give you." In all honesty, he meant those words. Sometimes, students came without a family, and each time, it felt like something he wanted to fight against dearly. Give them the home and family that he had given Raven. "However, perhaps we could start hunting for more, if you'd like? ...With time."

"Hopefully with as little inconvenience as possible." Dredging up the past came with its own set of problems, but if Kurt decided he wanted to go through with such things, at least he would be going in with very little to almost no knowledge and could not judge a time that had long since been forgotten. The idea of this mutant with abilities and an appearance much like his own had captured his attention more than he would have liked and try as he might to push the thoughts away, they seemed to resurface almost instantly and with an all new intensity.

With Charles mentioning the possibility of delving into more information on Azazel, perhaps the plan didn't seem as far-fetched as he might have assumed. His arms shifted once again, the left hand tucking beneath his bicep and his right one curling to rest against his mouth. "With time," he repeated, the enthusiasm returning to his grin. "My curiosity has been awoken and once it gets going, I find it hard to stop."

[He is a sweetie pie and a little shit. XD He likes to snuggle but you can never pick him up without a fight, but he'll groom you and run around you when he's excited. His full name is B.B. King (bratty bunny, boy bunny, best bunny... XD) ^_^ Oh yeah the ages are... bizarre. Charles is 50-52 now and that's so ridiculous wtf. o.O MUTANT MAYBELLINE! YES.]

"I see nothing wrong with that, as long as you use it wisely. Curiosity is what landed us on the moon as a species, after all. It's what pushed us past our boundaries. If we hunt down some information together, I think we might be able to dig something up." Charles gave a warm smile, showing that he meant those words, but at the same time, it was Kurt's choice. He didn't know the path it would lead down, not by a long shot, but it would be Kurt's personal life at risk of being hurt or otherwise.

He finished the last of his food, sighing at the good feeling of a full stomach. "Why don't we meet a little early, before your training session, then? It shouldn't take long, the few experiments I have in mind, nor should it be tiring for you before training. That way, we're taking up little of your free time and I'll be there to stay for the whole session and probably drive my sister into annoyance." He flashed a smirk, a hint of the younger Charles that had always enjoyed doing so.

"I do my best to keep from digging too far into other people's business, unless it is something they are willing to talk about. Thank you for being so willing to help me. I ... feel like most people would just tell me to leave well enough alone." And while that may have been the best idea, the German mutant couldn't help it; he understood the consequences that could come with sticking his nose where it didn't belong, but he wanted - possibly needed - to know more about Azazel. He was unsure as to what they could come up with, though no matter what it was, Kurt felt he would be able to handle whatever came afterward.

Humming in content also, he dropped back against his chair once more, toes trailing across the floor as he kicked his feet. "Meeting early would be perfect!" he agreed, the idea of being distracted by their findings only vaguely running through his mind before disappearing just as quickly as it had come. The mischievousness of Charles' smirk made his own grin widen, golden eyes lighting up at the chance to get to see him and Raven exchange playful banter. "Somehow, I feel like that won't take too much time to achieve."

[My kitties are incredible; I love them so. Xem was a shelter pick up at 3 months old... he and I lived together when I was in a bad time in my life, then one day, I went out to my car on Dec 9th and my car meowed at me. Inside my engine was a 5 week old kitten who is now Koji. King is the first pet I ever paid for - I needed a bunbun as big as my kitties so they wouldn't attack him. My mom raises them but she raises like... 5 lbs tiny bunbuns. (Oh my god babu bunnies are about the cutest thing on earth. When they're less than week old, they can fit in the palm of my hand without even my fingers. Then they turn into soft little springs! Boing boing!) /rambling, sorry! "I know what it's like to try and find the impossible answers to difficult questions that need to be answered." He had a look of understanding on his face, sighing quietly. "I get very much the feeling that your curiosity is as strong as the other students but if you don't listen to your instincts, they may pull you down a path you aren't ready for." A chuckle left him with that. "At the same time, it might be good for you to go down a few paths you aren't used to. I've already seen the signs of that good coming out in you and I hope to keep seeing more and more of it from you." He looked quite serious for a moment, brows up. "I'm proud of the changes I've seen in you, Kurt."

He didn't want to push that too hard, but he wanted also make sure Kurt understood he meant what he said.

"Then that sounds like a deal. I'll meet you-" he paused, thinking about it quickly, "half an hour before your training session? How does that sound? I think we'll be able to get through everything and still give you a few minutes to rest before you start."

[most kitties are great! urggghhh i love shelters and strays - they always seem to need the most love. ;w; i mean, all animals need love, but you know. (baby bunnies are just. the tiniest. i remember finding some in my garden at my old house when i was digging up around the flower-bed to plant my lilies. dug them right up and i was like, "OH GOD NO" 'cause the mama darted away. luckily, she came back because they were gone the next day. such soft little bouncers!) no, that's absolutely fine! i'm working on getting into school to become a vet tech and then working my way up to vet, so i am VERY passionate about animals myself. XD ffffff well, they're all aging exceedingly well. my roomie (who's a huge fan of the comics) says that mutants age slower than humans, apparently? that would make sense.]

"I'm glad that I am not the only one who has struggled with such things." Surely, he and Charles were not the only ones that had trouble with unanswered questions, but the fact that they shared this mutual situation brought him some slight comfort and maybe even a small amount of hope. "I try to trust my instincts and not be so naive. It's easier with the help that people have been offering me." His cheeks flared up at Charles mentioning the metamorphosis that he'd gone through since his arrival in America. That, along with the enrollment at the school had been what had originally started drawing him out of his shell, allowing him to show that he was more intelligent than he seemed and for his enthusiastic personality to break free. "Thank you, Professor. I'm genuinely happy with my experience and the progress that I have shown."

It was different to not be anxiety-riddled and shy all the time, though with time, he hoped it'd be something he wouldn't have to think twice about.

"I think a half an hour before the session works marvelously. That should give us plenty of time to hunt around, see what we can find and if we happen to come across anything of utmost importance, we can file it away and always come back to it at a later date."

[I couldn't agree more! Plus... I just love being able to help the ones that need it most. OOOH A vet tech! That's so awesome! It was a dream of mine as a child, but I gained a very severe phobia of needles that pretty much ended that. @_@ HUH... That would make a lot of sense, if mutants age slower! I could get behind that. I wonder if that's come up between any of them. XD Also just a little push below, get them to the fun of the danger room session! ^_^]

"Good." With the tone of 'settled then'. He glanced at the clock and frowned ever so slightly. "I need to get ready for my next class, so I must be on my way, but I'll meet you down in the danger room later." His frown flipped and he gave that smile, backing his chair up with his plate and cup.

"Good luck with the rest of your classes today!" Yet in the back of his mind, he thought about the nightmare Kurt had woken him out of. There was only a very faint memory of it now, that natural tendency for the human mind to forget its dreams, but somehow... a small, confusing part of him thought that it was linked to Kurt.

[yes, yes! right now, i'm wishing i had some way of figuring out how to help my tux with his poor skin D: veterinarian was one of my dream jobs. surprisingly, it followed me into my adult years. i'm only afraid of needles if they are near me, but then here i am with my tongue, lip and eyebrow pierced and then my ears pierced four times on each side (with the first holes being gauged to double-zero XD) right?? it makes more sense when you think about it that way! who knows? maybe in the comics, it has, but i have not read many of them ... huzzah!! cx danger room funtimes!]

Nodding firmly in response, Kurt turned to also look at the time, letting out an almost surprised sounding yip; he hadn't noticed how much time they'd actually spent sitting, enjoying lunch and each other's company. "I should get moving, too. Being late for class with Doctor McCoy surely won't be tolerated." He gathered up his own items and headed to discard them, sharp teeth gleaming once again.

"Thank you!" he called out over his shoulder, hurrying out of the dining hall to swing by his room to collect the needed items for his next class and maybe even chatter with some fellow students on his way there.

The rest of the day seemed to breeze by with his mind trying to stay focused on his studies, although it was also riddled with thoughts of his earlier discussion with Charles. He was curious as to what his teacher had in store and when the final class is released, he wasted no time - even teleporting to his room to be rid of the excess weight of his books and such quicker.

Now, he waited patiently outside of the Danger Room for Charles, pacing back and forth, tail twitching with excitement.
