You can't be around this person without your stomach tying up in knots or your heart skipping a beat. You know, all those cliches people use to describe that feeling of being in love with someone close to you.

1. extravagant confession. You've set up a wonderful night, planned everything down to the T to make sure it's perfect for your confession!
2. note/text. You couldn't do it face to face, so you send a note or a text instead.
3. doomed. You know the other person doesn't love you or just can't be with you, but you need them to know how you feel anyway.
4. childish. You're not actually in love. You just have a childish crush on someone's close to you.
5. bittersweet. Things have all gone to hell anyway, so you might as well let everything out in the open, right?
6. in the heat of the moment. You guys are having an argument and you didn't mean to blurt out how you feel about them, but... oops.
7. serious. You're dead serious about this person, no doubt in your mind, and it's time to tell them.
8. a lie. You don't really love this person, but you're forced to play along either for their sake or because someone is forcing you to.
9. drunk confession. You're not in your right mind, either from drugs or alcohol, and you just let it all hang out about how you feel about this person.
10. lust confession. You don't love them exactly, you just want their body.
11. still in love. You were together once before and broke up for some reason, but you still love this person and they have to know it.

Except Deuce, indeed. She's special. She's always there for him just as he's always there for her. No, not because he's assigned as number one and she's the number two. It's just simply a matter of preferences- No, hearts. As the tension starts to getting to him, he put his arms around her body, circling her in a hug, hopefully a comforting one.]

I love you, too.

[He doesn't understand how things like this work; confession, dating, romantic interactions.. But he acknowledges one thing: He loves her.]

[The moment Ace answered her hug with his arms accepting her whole figure, she looks a bit surprised and she tilt her head upward a bit, staring him with her eyes.]

...Really?

[She blinks her eyes twice, blushes on her cheeks are decreasing into an average amount of how much a person should blush when they're happy. Before long, her eyes lit up in delights and a smile is on her lips. She once again repeats the same word, with cheerier tone.]

[Ace just smiles at that. She was the one that confessed, but she ends up flailing herself? Oh, Deuce... Never changes.]

Aah.

[In case she'll still dumbfounded after this, Ace proves it right now. He leans down closer to her to kiss her on her cheek.]

[She yelps at that, nonchalantly pulling her head back in reflex. Mind you, she's rather reserved and shy. Cue another flailing as she tries to stare Ace at his eyes but ends up fruitless.]

[If he's somebody else, he might get offended from that, Deuce. Lucky for you, he's that one Ace you know very well.]

Honestly.

[In this grin, there's a small tint of red on his cheeks as well.]
