[ With a rather amused grin that flits upon her features for a flicker of a second - if Keiichi asks, she'll pretend to brush him off - she can't help but say: ]

So, did you lose another game again with your friends? I'm rather surprised they only made you run a kissing booth.

[ Or perhaps she just can't tell what he's wearing from behind said booth. ]

[ It's really rare that he sees any sort of expression on Kyouko's face besides a serious one, which almost makes it worth it. But not quite. ]

You saying that makes me think you might try to give them some ideas...

too bad you ain't getting any

[confronting]

[ Intrigue creeps into her tone of voice, looking rather curiously at him. ]

And what motive would I have to do that?

[keichan]

[ His hands clutch at the top of the booth's counter, his teeth grinding. ]

What motive does anyone have?!? It's simple... the whole world is determined to see me suffer!

[confronting]

Perhaps that's simply because you easily show your emotions.

[ Unlike Kirigiri, who is now keeping a stone cold expression. . . perhaps she should give him an example. ]

But if you think the whole world is determined to see you suffer, I suppose I should leave. I was planning on offering myself up to you and not paying you for it, but I guess there's no need for that anymore.

[ And she says this with the most serious look in her eyes that it's hard to tell if she's lying or not. ]

[ This is the part of the conversation where his cheeks go bright, bright red, and his eyes slowly widen.

Then, he shakes it off, leaning in over the counter. ]

H-Hey, you shouldn't joke around about things like that! It's not fair to play with a guy's emotions like that!

[confronting]

Hm?

[ She smiles a little bit, not letting up her amused expression. ]

I never once said that I was joking, Maebara Keiichi-kun.

[keichan]

[ He nonchalantly (okay, it's not nonchalantly, he's obviously blushing up a storm) takes his hands off the counter, trying his best to seem cool and collected while he shrugs his shoulders. ]

If you're really telling the truth, then take out the money.

[confronting]

[ Even though Kirigiri can see right through him, she maintains her own composure as she takes out her own wallet and places the wad of cash on the counter without hesitation. It's more than what's offered, but. . . ]

You can keep the change.

[keichan]

[ He swallows nervously, looking down at the money momentarily. He can't believe that she's serious about this, even if she usually is serious. ]

Well, it's not like I'm keeping it for myself... it's just going to the festival, so it's not like I'm gonna turn it down or anything.

[ But perhaps her keen detective senses will take notice of his rapidly beating heart and his really red cheeks. ]
